The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1566: Chapter 626: Sweet Dosa

The income distribution in Korea’s entertainment industry is a classic ”pyramid distribution.”

Represented by stars like BTS, IU, Lee Byung-hun, Song Kang-ho, Jeon Ji-hyun, and undoubtedly including BlackPink, they stand at the pinnacle of the pyramid.

The members average over 10 endorsements each, spanning cosmetics, jewelry, fashion, and other sectors.

The global stadium tours generate millions of US dollars in ticket sales per concert.

Members can earn over 100 million Korean Won per episode, while a series can bring in 2 to 3 billion Korean Won, which translates to over 100 million RMB.

But... like all top stars, from bottom to top, they have to endure numerous exploitations by the company throughout this process.

The expenses for trainees before debut are typically covered by the company, but after debut, they need to repay these costs with their income. Until their ”debt” to the company is cleared, they scarcely receive any shares.

Once repaid, they still face long-term ”high-share” contracts. The better ones split 70-30, the best 50-50, and the worse ones even split 80-20 or 90-10.

The numbers 5789 here all refer to the company.

It’s no exaggeration to say that from BlackPink’s pinnacle years, over one-third of YG Entertainment’s revenue was supported by these four girls, and as Bigbang members left one by one, this figure only increased further.

This is why Zhou Wang wants to control YG Entertainment; he must first completely control these four girls at the core.

Thus, although Lisa is widely recognized, it was only after her previous ”exploitative contract” expired and she established her own studio that she could finally pocket most of her earnings.

This period, however, wasn’t long.

Of course, with her incredible earning ability, even just one or two years are enough for her to accumulate an extraordinary fortune, one beyond ordinary people’s imagination, enough for her to buy a house and a car in Seoul’s central district and live a worry-free life.

A million Hong Kong Dollars is no small sum, but she can manage to scrape it together.

But if it’s 30 million US Dollars...

Forget her—it would even be difficult for a mid-tier financial tycoon family to easily gather this amount in cash.

Lisa couldn’t believe it, she screamed: ”Is my mom crazy? How could she dare to borrow such a huge sum? Did you set up some trap intentionally? This is a crime...”

”I’ll say it again, although I have some shares in the Galaxy Hotel, this matter really has nothing to do with me.”

Zhou Wang, with a nonchalant expression, fiddled with his ear and shook his head, saying: ”It seems you still don’t know. Before your mother went to Ao Island, she already lost a lot of money in the stock market. It wasn’t her first time in a casino either. To my knowledge, the alimony you give her every month probably isn’t enough to cover the interest on her original debts...”

”Impossible, that’s impossible!”

Lisa still refused to believe, like a drowning person trying to grasp at the last straw, ”If it’s true, why didn’t she tell me sooner?”

”People always cling to hope, besides, nobody was really forcing her... Having a daughter like you who can earn money, if it were me, I’d probably adopt the ’boiling frog’ strategy, gradually extracting interest from your mother, until the day she or you have no remaining value left.”

Lisa was completely stunned.

She had actually believed it inside, knowing her mother’s behavior, she had no doubt that this is what her mother would do. But she held onto the last fragile hope, shakily took out her phone from her coat pocket, and dialed that number...

Zhou Wang did not stop her, simply lighting a cigarette for himself, listening to her intermittent high and low ”chattering” during the call.

For Zhou Wang, Lisa’s Thai at that moment was just ”chattering,” but the excitement in her tone was quite discernible.

It is unsure how long it took, but Lisa had probably hung up by then, yet the room remained silent. The flames in the fireplace flickering noiselessly, with the red glow varying in shape like an unpredictable human heart, impossible to grasp or touch.

”Chairman Zhou, what... what do you want me to do?”

Lisa finally spoke, her voice still slightly trembling, but much more stable.

Zhou Wang extinguished the cigarette butt in the ashtray and turned his head towards her.

Zhou Wang didn’t say anything, but his gaze lingered on her coat for a moment.

As a leading luxury brand, this unique coat designed personally by Celine for its global ambassador, although seemingly plain at a glance, was meticulously designed in every detail.

Only the smooth line of the shoulders, the perfectly tailored waistline, and the hem flaring like a budding flower over her perky hips, the logo-patterned black stockings extending down her straight legs, finally hidden in silver high heels.

Zhou Wang’s gaze appeared appreciative but held a penetrating intensity that made Lisa’s body quiver as his gaze moved.

She seemed to understand something, gradually raised her hand, and unbuttoned the coat one by one.

Snap!

The coat slid off her shoulders with a gentle shake, revealing what was underneath.

Below was a silver bodycon skirt, with a tight-fitting wrap design completely showcasing the tight curves from thigh to waist expected of a ”dancer.”
