The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1569: Chapter 627: KJ Bar_2

Jin Zhixiu initially thought that only Rose would be there, but upon arrival, she found there were other people as well, all top stars from the company.

Although Jin Zhixiu was relatively innocent, she wasn’t stupid. Just from the attendees of the gathering, she sensed that Rose’s intentions were not pure, and recalling her absence at the welcome ceremony, Jin Zhixiu had a faint suspicion of what was going on.

This made her somewhat uneasy, but she couldn’t show it.

”Rose, you gathered us here, is there something important you want to discuss?”

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Lee Jeong-jae couldn’t hold back and asked.

At this point, Rose glanced at the top-tier limited edition YSL watch on her wrist, then smiled with a hint of disdain, ”I had also invited Dong Yongpei, but it seems he won’t be joining us. So let’s just talk among ourselves.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Dongyuan casually remarked, ”Yongpei has already renewed his long-term contract with the company, and now that Bigbang is essentially disbanded, he wouldn’t do something that could be misunderstood by the company at such a time...”

Only then did the others piece something together, their expressions showing slight changes, and Lee Jeong-jae couldn’t help but get up to say:

”I have to rush to the set tomorrow morning, why don’t you all continue chatting, I’ll just...”

”Jeong-jae sunbae, I know your contract with YG Entertainment is about to expire, and you’ve already planned to set up your own agency. Getting involved in these matters seems to bring you no benefit.”

Rose smiled and said at that moment, ”But even if you leave YG Entertainment, you’ll still have to develop within this circle, right? Chairman Park Jeongyun can provide significant assistance in this regard.”

This sentence from Rose was akin to showing all her cards, clearly informing the four present that she was here representing YG Entertainment’s Vice Chairman and shareholder, Park Jeongyun.

Lee Jeong-jae hesitated upon hearing this, then said somewhat reluctantly, ”I don’t mean to disregard Chairman Park’s goodwill, but I also don’t want to offend Chairman Zhou for no reason...”

”An outsider chairman, what’s there to fear?”

Rose initially scoffed, then smiled and said, ”Jeong-jae sunbae, why don’t you first listen to the terms Chairman Park is offering before making a decision?”

”Please, go ahead.”

Upon hearing this, Lee Jeong-jae had no choice but to sit down again. If he insisted further, it would be tantamount to completely disregarding Park Jeongyun.

”First, Chairman Park Jeongyun won’t hold up your contract termination request, and even if you leave YG Entertainment, he’s willing to offer you a relaxed agreement without binding terms, allowing you to enjoy YG Entertainment’s resources while having the freedom to choose.”

Rose said with a smile, ”Additionally, regarding your soon-to-be-established agency, YG Entertainment is also willing to allocate certain resources to establish a partnership with you. You are well aware of the synergy between YG Entertainment and the Park Group; it’s only beneficial for you.”

”Then... what do I need to do?”

Lee Jeong-jae was indeed intrigued.

”What you need to do is simple, just express your stance at the right time. In other words, Chairman Park hopes you can lead the artists in the actor department to voice dissatisfaction over Zhou Wang taking over YG Entertainment. After that, you won’t need to worry about anything else.”

Rose said casually, ”Once Chairman Park obtains the voice he deserves, or even drives Zhou Wang out of YG Entertainment, he will fulfill all his promises to you one by one.”

”This...”

Rose’s request sounded simple, but Lee Jeong-jae still showed a troubled expression.

As the current leading figure in YG Entertainment’s film and television department, his influence was undeniable. Publicly standing against the newly appointed chairman, even with various assurances from Park Jeongyun, and even as Rose said that Zhou Wang was just an outsider in Korea with no foundation, what if Park Jeongyun failed...

While Lee Jeong-jae hesitated, Jiang Dongyuan suddenly spoke up: ”Actually, Chairman Park and Chairman Jiang have already been in private contact.”

With these words, Lee Jeong-jae’s expression became peculiar.

The ”Chairman Jiang” Jiang Dongyuan mentioned naturally referred to Jiang Xin, the vice chairman who rarely appeared in YG Entertainment.

Even though Jiang Xin didn’t involve himself much in YG Entertainment’s affairs, as the representative of Jiulong Group’s capital and the second-largest shareholder, Jiang Xin’s status on the board was indisputable.

There were rumors that Jiang Dongyuan and Jiang Xin had some family ties, but as both of them were part of the financial tycoon class, it was quite normal if there was indeed any relationship. Jiang Dongyuan had the freest contract with YG Entertainment and enjoyed the best resources, which everyone was well aware of.

So no one doubted Jiang Dongyuan’s words. Always silently listening, never having spoken, Jeon So-mi finally couldn’t help but ask:

”Sunbae Dongyuan, do you mean... Chairman Jiang is also dissatisfied with Chairman Zhou?”

”Chairman Jiang believes that since YG Entertainment was originally founded by us Koreans, it should naturally be in the hands of us Koreans.”

Jiang Dongyuan lit a cigarette, shrugged, and said, ”Of course, that’s just one statement from Chairman Jiang. As for whether he’s reached any agreement with Chairman Park, I wouldn’t know. You can treat this as me just sharing some gossip, and not as any advice.”

Although Jiang Dongyuan said so, since he was already sitting there and seemingly suggested Jiang Xin’s stance, how could others pretend not to have heard?

Lee Jeong-jae was silent for a moment, then said, ”Rose, thank you for telling me all this, I will carefully consider my next steps.”

Although Lee Jeong-jae did not give a direct response, Rose knew very well that, given his usual cautious and stable nature, such an answer was already an inclination.

Feeling that the purpose of this meeting had been achieved, Rose smiled and glanced around at the people, then first thanked Jiang Dongyuan solemnly:

”Sunbae Dongyuan, thank you for attending this gathering. Please send my regards to Chairman Jiang.”

”I will.”

”Then I’ll be leaving first, Chairman Park is waiting for me to report back.”

Rose looked at the contemplative Jeon So-mi and Lee Jeong-jae, displaying a faint smile of victory. She knew clearly that as long as she convinced Lee Jeong-jae, a grassroots female artist like Jeon So-mi essentially had no choice but to side with Chairman Park.

As for Jiang Dongyuan, even though he still seemed undecided, his earlier comment revealing Chairman Jiang’s attitude essentially signified his stance.

What’s the most important thing for an entertainment company?

Capital is one aspect, but no matter how much capital there is, you need resources that can leverage that capital. In the entertainment industry, ”resources” are the top stars who can sustain the company’s façade.

As long as they controlled them, Chairman Park would naturally be invincible. By then, even if Zhou Wang stubbornly resisted and refused to give up control of YG Entertainment, Chairman Park could immediately render YG Entertainment an empty shell. Zhou Wang would have no choice but to compromise.

This was Chairman Park’s strategy, and after listening, Rose only felt awe, not at all worried about the repercussions of offending Zhou Wang.

Rose left first, and naturally, Jin Zhixiu got up to see her off. After they exited the private room, Jin Zhixiu couldn’t help but ask:

”Rose, why didn’t you ask for my opinion?”

Rose was taken aback by the question, then reached out to touch Jin Zhixiu’s smooth forehead.

”What are you doing?”

Jin Zhixiu brushed Rose’s hand aside with some dissatisfaction.

”Just checking if you have a fever, how could you ask such a question?”

Rose chuckled, ”With our relationship, of course, you’d stand by me. Besides, we’ve already offended Zhou Wang. Do you still want to support him?”

”I... Of course not, it’s just... we’re just artists. Is it really appropriate for us to get involved in such a company’s upper-level conflicts?”

Jin Zhixiu didn’t know how to articulate her thoughts, nor could she tell Rose that she actually thought Zhou Wang didn’t seem to have many issues. After all, their ’posting’ incident had the suspicion of being a false accusation...

”Alright, Jisoo, don’t overthink it. Leave everything to me. You can’t handle alcohol well, so get some rest early.”

Rose gave Jisoo a friendly hug, then grabbed her small bag and walked off briskly.

Jin Zhixiu stood in the hallway, watching Rose’s departing figure and sighed lightly. She actually wanted to go straight home, but since Sunbae Lee Jeong-jae and the others hadn’t left yet, it wouldn’t be proper for her, as the host, to leave first.

Jin Zhixiu turned around, about to walk back into the private room, when she spotted someone quietly leaning against the door of another room on the other side of the hallway.

She was startled and before she had time to react, the person had already reached out and pulled her into the empty private room.
