Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

The Shenxia people called it Shenxia City.

But in truth its real name was the Godslaying Fortress, an unimaginably powerful weapon of war.

The term Godslaying specifically referred to True Gods.

At its peak, when its full power was unleashed, the fortress possessed the capability to slay True Gods.

At present, the power Lin Moyu could command was less than one ten-thousandth of its original might. Yet even this fragment of power was already enough to rival beings such as the Demon Emperor and the Dragon Emperor.

It could even kill a level 98 half-step Transcendent God like Jiang Yi.

This alone demonstrated the terrifying strength of the Godslaying Fortress.

Most Shenxia people knew nothing of this. To them, Shenxia City was merely a safe stronghold where they could rest and regroup.

In reality, it was precisely this fortress that allowed the human race to secure a foothold across the four continents of the Immemorial Battlefield’s lower layer.

The city was bustling with activity. People came and went in endless streams.

Lin Moyu appeared once again outside the city and strode inside.

A new batch of class users seemed to have arrived, as many unfamiliar faces filled the streets.

Some were leaving the city and the Immemorial Battlefield altogether to return to the Human World and enjoy a rare period of peace.

Others had just arrived, eager to begin their own adventures.

From the Thunderclap Tower, Lin Moyu faintly sensed a trace of joy.

He had already obtained the tower’s recognition and become its new master.

Although he could not yet fully control the Thunderclap Tower, his authority already surpassed that of Legion Commander Feng Yiming.

If his soul were powerful enough, Lin Moyu could even control the tower and make it fly into battle.

From Antares, he had learned that once a powerhouse reached God-level, the soul became the most critical element.

The soul represented far more than combat power; it determined one’s level, realm, future potential...

The soul was the root of everything.

This was Antares’s summary regarding the soul, and Lin Moyu had engraved those words firmly in his mind.

During this visit to Shenxia City, Lin Moyu did not activate the Thunderclap Tower.

Instead, he stood quietly in the square and communicated with the tower’s core, retrieving recent records.

The Thunderclap Tower’s core possessed many functions. One of them was the ability to record daily events.

Based on his senses, Lin Moyu suspected the tower possessed a certain consciousness, similar to Shiling inside the Divine Stone Dungeon.

However, this consciousness appeared to be dormant, leaving behind only instinctive operations that functioned according to fixed rules.

Lin Moyu was certain of this judgment. Each time he communicated with the Thunderclap Tower’s core, he experienced a strange yet subtle sensation.

Perhaps one day, when the tower truly awakened, they might even be able to converse directly.

Some powerful weapons could develop sentience.

The Demon Extermination Tower also seemed to have begun developing a faint spark of sentience. However, its core was still far too weak.

By absorbing the lightning element within the Thunderclap Tower, it was slowly growing stronger, though it still had a long road ahead before true sentience could form.

“Hmm?” Lin Moyu suddenly noticed a figure within the Thunderclap Tower’s records.

It was a woman wearing a form-fitting Mage robe.

She was breathtakingly beautiful. Although Lin Moyu was not particularly lustful, even he had to admit that her beauty was rivaled only by that of the Water God.

But beauty alone was not what surprised him. What truly caught his attention was the strange sense of familiarity she gave him.

He was certain he had never met her before, yet the moment he saw her, an inexplicable sense of familiarity arose.

“There is something wrong with this person’s identity.”

Lin Moyu was certain of it. Otherwise, such a feeling would not have appeared.

According to the Thunderclap Tower’s records, the woman stayed only briefly before leaving.

As she departed, each step she took spanned more than 10 meters.

This caught Lin Moyu’s attention immediately. She wasn’t simply moving fast; it was closer to teleportation. With every step, she would disappear from one location and reappear at another.

“It’s similar to teleportation… Could this also be a type of law?”

After thinking carefully for a moment, Lin Moyu still couldn’t match her to anyone in his memory.

In the end, he had no choice but to abandon the thought.

Recently, ever since the war had ended, more and more class users had been visiting the Thunderclap Tower.

Everything seemed peaceful.

After leaving Shenxia City, Lin Moyu noticed a party departing at the same time. They moved quickly in a specific direction, clearly heading toward a target.

Some of them glanced back at Lin Moyu. After confirming that he wasn’t following them, the vigilance in their eyes faded.

It seemed they had discovered a boss and were rushing out to hunt it.

Lin Moyu smiled faintly, instantly quessing what the other side was thinking.

Remaining vigilant at all times was never a bad thing. In a place like the Immemorial Battlefield, losing vigilance could mean death.

As Lin Moyu left Shenxia City, a will descended silently.

Outside the city, the Demon Emperor—who had been waiting for several days—suddenly opened her eyes.

“Lin Moyu… you’ve finally come.”

Her soul quietly locked onto Lin Moyu. Her level far surpassed his, and because the lock carried no hostility, he sensed nothing.

Just as she was wondering how she should greet him, Lin Moyu suddenly spread his wings and vanished.

The soul lock was instantly cut off.

Shock flashed across the Demon Emperor’s face, “Was I discovered?”

“That’s impossible.”

With her vision, she couldn’t even see where Lin Moyu had gone.

Whether by sight or soul perception, he had disappeared without leaving the slightest trace.

She was certain he hadn’t noticed her, yet his sudden disappearance was beyond reason.

Although the soul lock had broken, it didn’t matter. The aura she had secretly left on him remained.

A few seconds later, she sensed his aura again.

To her astonishment, Lin Moyu was already several thousand kilometers away.

His speed was far too fast, so fast that even some high-tier God-level powerhouses couldn’t match it.

At this point, Lin Moyu’s speed was already comparable to hers.

“How can he be this fast?”

“This makes no sense.”

In the next instant, Lin Moyu’s aura vanished once more.

Filled with shock, the Demon Emperor lightly stepped forward, chasing in the direction Lin Moyu had gone.

Her movement technique was completely different from Lin Moyu’s.

Lin Moyu relied purely on speed, while the Demon Emperor walked upon law itself, each step resembling teleportation.

With every step, she crossed hundreds of kilometers.

After only a few strides, she arrived at the place where Lin Moyu had just appeared.

The sound of crashing waves echoed across the shore, accompanied by distant thunder.

“The Wind-Lightning Ocean.” The Demon Emperor murmured softly, memories flickering in her eyes.

Long ago, before she had become the Demon Emperor, she had once come here.

Not only had she visited this place, she had even gone to see the Central Great Vortex.

1,000 years had passed in the blink of an eye.

Standing here again and gazing at the Wind-Lightning Ocean stirred a faint sense of nostalgia within her.

At that moment, Lin Moyu’s aura appeared once more.

In just a few seconds, he had already crossed the Wind-Lightning Ocean and entered the Wind-Lightning Continent.

“What is he doing on the Wind-Lightning Continent?” The Demon Emperor smiled faintly as she followed him.

Lin Moyu’s actions had piqued her curiosity.

She crossed the Wind-Lightning Ocean in only a few steps—calm, composed, and utterly unhurried.

Every movement carried an effortless elegance, completely different from the imposing majesty she displayed in the Demon Emperor’s Palace.

Now she noticed that Lin Moyu had stopped moving.

Concealing her presence, she quietly drew closer. Only then did she realize he was in the middle of a battle.

Swaths of Lightning Trees were collapsing and dying.

Lin Moyu stood in midair, watching as his undead army massacred the forest of Lightning Trees.

Above the battlefield floated a gigantic gate of bones, wrapped in silver-white flames.

Within the gate, a massive eye gazed down upon the world.

“Is he level grinding?” The Demon Emperor quickly understood what he was doing.

The Lightning Tree forest below was enormous—more than 30,000 trees—and it even contained a world boss rank Lightning Tree.

Yet at Lin Moyu’s current level, a forest of this scale was nothing more than a dish on his table.

The Undead Eye slowly rotated, surveying heaven and earth.

Suddenly, the Demon Emperor’s brow furrowed. Her soul trembled faintly.

A moment later, Lin Moyu’s voice rang out, “Come out.”
