Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

The godhead of the God of Holy Melody pulsed with dazzling radiance. As the core of a God, it contained boundless power.

This monster had clearly absorbed a fragment of that power, becoming extraordinarily formidable.

Much like the Venomous Flood Dragon from before, which had risen after devouring the Poison God’s power.

Yet no matter how powerful it was, it posed no real threat to Lin Moyu. In the lower layer, aside from a handful of exceptional beings, strength always had a limit.

The creature before him was clearly not one of those special cases.

Through soul sense, Lin Moyu identified it as a colossal octopus.

Each of its eight tentacles stretched over 1,000 meters, lined with enormous suckers.

Dark fluid flowed within its translucent body: venom, he presumed.

Given that octopuses were known to spray ink, this one likely possessed the same ability.

Lin Moyu barely spared it a glance, but the monster sensed danger immediately. Its pair of crimson eyes locked onto him.

Its eight massive tentacles coiled around the godhead, yet it did not dare touch it.

Law force enveloped the godhead, forming an invisible protective shield that repelled external objects.

Lin Moyu was reminded of the “spotless” state of the Kunlun Divine Palace.

If this protective shield was not left behind by the Kunlun Great God, then it could only be the God of Holy Music herself.

With her obsessive love for purity, even the godhead she left behind would never tolerate contamination.

The Holy Melody Wind Chime in Lin Moyu’s hand rang softly, resonating with the godhead.

It was like the call of an old friend after countless years of separation.

The godhead responded, its rhythm synchronizing with the wind chime, as though it were breathing.

Lin Moyu felt a torrent of emotions surge between them—longing, urgency, and an overwhelming desire to return.

The resonance intensified, erupting in blinding light.

The Holy Melody Wind Chime trembled violently, struggling to break free from Lin Moyu’s grip and fly toward the godhead.

“Don’t worry. I’ll take you back.” Lin Moyu whispered through his soul.

At his words, both the wind chime and the godhead fell silent.

A massive horde of monsters had arrived, completely surrounding him.

They clearly recognized Lin Moyu and understood how terrifying he was, yet the colossal octopus’s command left them no choice but to advance.

With a flick of his finger, Lin Moyu cast the Detection spell on the colossal octopus.

“Let me see just how far you’ve grown after absorbing a fragment of a godhead’s power.”

A godhead’s power was notoriously difficult to assimilate. It was divine force, extremely difficult to utilize.

This was especially true for the God of Holy Melody’s godhead, which carried law force and was classified as a high-tier godhead

[Deep-Sea Octopus (world rank boss)]

[Level: 88]

[Strength: 2,800,000]

[Agility: 1,500,000]

[Spirit: 1,000,000]

[Physique: 2,700,000]

[Skill: Death Coil, Venomous Ink, Fatal Suckers]

[Trait: Water Elemental Immunity, 50% Poison Elemental Damage Reduction, 50% Physical Damage Reduction, Tentacle Substitution]

With total attributes exceeding 8 million, it was a top-tier world rank boss—nearly invincible below the God-level.

Compared to other level 88 bosses, it possessed roughly 800,000 additional attribute points, clearly the result of absorbing the godhead’s power over countless years.

The Deep-Sea Octopus whipped its eight tentacles wildly. As if receiving a signal, every surrounding monster launched an attack on Lin Moyu at once.

With a thought, Lin Moyu activated his skills.

Skill: Summon Skeletal King!

Skill: Focus Power!

This was his first time using Focus Power since obtaining the skill.

His undead army was currently tens of thousands of meters above him; the crushing water pressure here made it impossible for them to fight effectively.

Before activating Focus Power, Lin Moyu summoned the Skeletal King; not to do battle, but to test something.

The Skeletal King’s attributes were derived from its subordinate skeletons.

If Lin Moyu could inherit those attributes through Focus Power, it would amount to a double inheritance.

If successful, the skill would be nothing short of a cheat.

An aura erupted from Lin Moyu. God-level aura surged outward.

[Focus Power (fusion: 99%): consumes soul force to gather the power of summons, inheriting every one of their skills and allowing the user to wield them with strength limited only by their soul rank. While in the Focus Power state, killing enemies harvests their souls, replenishing the user’s soul force and increasing their soul rank.]

Focus Power was a Primordial Skill with a 99% fusion rate.

It ignored the constraints of law, restricted only by Lin Moyu’s soul rank.

With no cooldown and fueled solely by soul force, he could theoretically maintain this state indefinitely—as long as his soul force held out.

“The soul force consumption is absurd!”

This was his first time activating a Primordial Skill, and the consumption was overwhelming.

At his current reserves, he could last barely 10 seconds.

Fortunately, the skill allowed replenishment—and even growth of soul rank—through killing.

After activating Focus Power Convergence, Lin Moyu checked his attributes.

[Strength: 3,000,000 + 500,000]

[Agility: 3,000,000 + 500,000]

[Spirit: 3,000,000 + 500,000]

[Physique: 3,000,000 + 500,000]

[Skill: Godslayer, Elemental Rampage, Absolute Defense, Berserk Strike, Soul Shot, Legion Enhancement, Legion Heal, Nullify, Charge, Group Defense]

With total attributes reaching 14 million, he had stepped into the realm of a level 92 God-level powerhouse.

Due to his soul rank, Lin Moyu’s current limit was 12 million. But it was not the limit of the skill.

As his soul rank rose, this skill would only become stronger.

What surprised Lin Moyu the most was that the Monarch’s Scepter was still usable, and its bonuses remained completely unchanged.

This allowed his attributes to be pushed past the level 92 threshold, even surpassing level 93.

Lin Moyu took out a platinum-grade sword from his storage space.

To him, the sword’s grade was irrelevant, so long as it was a sword.

Skill: Elemental Rampage!

Without locking onto a target, he unleashed the skill over the maximum range.

In an instant, the once-tranquil Green Dragon Ocean erupted.

The trench detonated, and nearly half the sea began to boil.

Countless monsters were wiped out on the spot, dissolving into torrents of soul force.

An unseen power seized it all, funneling it into Lin Moyu’s body.

His EXP surged. The skill’s duration extended. The soul force consumed by Focus Power was instantly replenished, then overflowed.

Lin Moyu even felt his soul rank inch upward. The increase was slight, almost imperceptible, yet undeniably real.

If he continued using Focus Power to kill enemies over time, the long-term benefits to his soul would be immense.

The skill was far more miraculous than he had imagined.

With a single strike, tens of thousands of monsters were annihilated. The survivors scattered in blind terror.

Even the Deep-Sea Octopus was wounded. The sheer force from the indiscriminate blast nearly exceeded its tolerance. Black ink bled into the water, staining the sea.

It was terrified, utterly unable to comprehend how a human could wield such overwhelming power.

Skill: Godslayer!

A radiant sword light burst from Lin Moyu’s sword.

Sensing the threat of death, the octopus abandoned all thoughts of the godhead and turned to flee.

The sword light cleaved through its colossal body as if through tofu.

Yet a heartbeat later, its form snapped back, as though time itself had reversed. Its body was restored, but one tentacle was missing.

Trait: Tentacle Substitution.

Lin Moyu smiled faintly, “Eight tentacles. Eight extra lives. Not bad.”

He clenched his fist, activating a skill he hadn’t used in a long time.

Skill: Bone Prison!

At level 76, Bone Prison could restrain the octopus for only half a second. But half a second was more than enough.

Lin Moyu activated the Charge skill, crossing thousands of meters in a flash.

His sword erupted into a storm of sword light, slashing relentlessly.

With level 94 attributes, he completely overwhelmed the boss.

Even without using skills, every basic strike carried devastating force.

The Deep-Sea Octopus was trapped within the sword light, unable to flee or fight back.

Tentacles were severed one after another, each loss burning through a “life.”

Less than 10 seconds later, the sword light faded.

All nine lives were gone.

The Deep-Sea Octopus was dead.
