After clearing the second stage, the rest of the dungeon became uneventful.

Up to this point, Lin Moyu hadn’t received any real rewards.

Aside from some EXP and largely useless materials, he hadn’t seen a single decent piece of equipment.

In one word, the dungeon was poor.

It wasn’t just the loot; its EXP yield was equally disappointing.

Other than the initial burst of EXP at the start, the tiny snowmen and the formation’s light sphere provided nothing at all.

If early stage and mid stage dungeons were leveling paradises, then the late stage dungeon offered virtually no value in that regard.

As Lin Moyu climbed higher along the mountain path, the snowstorm intensified.

Even level 70-plus class users would struggle to maintain their footing here.

The temperature had dropped to a horrifying level—water freezing instantly was the norm.

Even Lin Moyu felt waves of cold.

The chill was now sufficient to cause damage, but his Damage Transfer skill redirected it all to his undead army.

Within the skeletons’ skulls, the soul fires compressed slightly under the frigid air.

Beneath the snow, Lin Moyu sensed ice that had existed for countless years.

He pressed forward through the extreme cold, yet the path remained completely devoid of monsters.

Eventually, four stone platforms came into view.

Beyond them lay dense mist, with no visible road ahead.

Each platform bore a depression shaped like a keyhole.

At a glance, Lin Moyu understood.

He immediately retrieved the elemental keys he had obtained from the elemental fortress.

Each platform corresponded to a different key.

For most parties, only one key was required to unlock the next stage.

Lin Moyu, however, possessed all four.

As he inserted the keys one by one, the platforms began to rumble.

The sound grew louder until the platforms suddenly exploded, dissolving into their respective elements.

Wind, fire, water, and lightning converged, forming four towering pillars of colored light that pierced the sky.

The clouds parted, revealing a new passage that seemed to stretch all the way to the divine palace at the summit.

As the passage appeared, terrifying waves of energy surged outward.

A massive number of dormant monsters awakened.

Every single one was above level 78, and none were ordinary monsters. All of them were leader rank.

Under his soul perception, their strength and numbers were immediately clear.

There were exactly 400 leaders.

Lin Moyu mused, “If only one platform had been opened, I probably wouldn’t have to face this many.”

He was correct. Opening a single platform would only awaken 100 leaders.

Moreover, they wouldn’t awaken simultaneously; a strong party could exploit the timing gaps to eliminate them one by one.

At most, they would face four leaders at the same time.

Now, however, all four platforms had been activated.

400 leaders awakened at once.

At most, Lin Moyu might face 16 leaders simultaneously.

For any other party, this would spell disaster.

With a maximum party size of just 24, defeating 16 level 78 leaders at once would be nearly impossible.

The corners of Lin Moyu’s mouth twitched slightly, “That’s it?”

400 leaders? That was far too weak.

Before the leaders could fully awaken and charge forward, his undead army struck first.

This was the final stage of the dungeon, yet it still failed to impress him.

Although leaders granted far more EXP than ordinary monsters, their numbers were simply too low.

With only 400 in total, even if each were worth 10 times the EXP of an ordinary monster, it would amount to no more than 4,000 ordinary monsters.

And in truth, the EXP wasn’t even tenfold.

If this was all it offered, the late stage Kunlun Divine Palace dungeon was utterly unsuitable for leveling.

Grinding here was slower than clearing Lightning Trees or Wind Petals on the Wind–Lightning Continent.

[Killed level 78 Flame Giant, EXP +**]

[Obtained Flame Sword]

[Flame Sword: quasi-legendary-grade weapon, all attributes +60,000, increases the power of fire-type skills by 120%. Attached skill: Burn.]

[Burn: continuously deals damage to the target. Duration: 1 minute.]

With the death of a fire elemental leader, Lin Moyu obtained a quasi-legendary-grade weapon.

It wasn’t exceptional, but it certainly wasn’t bad.

At the very least, its attributes far surpassed those of platinum-grade equipment.

Even the weakest quasi-legendary-grade weapon provided attribute bonuses in the tens of thousands.

For most class users, such a weapon would represent a massive leap in strength.

With the right attached skill, it could become truly formidable.

As the leaders fell one after another, quasi-legendary-grade equipment poured into Lin Moyu’s storage space.

Only then did he realize the true purpose of the late stage dungeon.

It wasn’t meant for leveling. It was meant for farming equipment.

With a 10% drop rate, even opening a single platform would yield 10 quasi-legendary-grade items. What other dungeon could produce that many in a single run?

Since Lin Moyu had opened all four platforms, he was likely to leave with 30 to 40 pieces—an astonishing harvest.

The early stage and mid stage dungeons were for leveling, while the late stage dungeon was for equipment.

Together, they offered the perfect balance.

“The Kunlun Divine Palace truly lives up to its reputation.”

“Though the difficulty is high, the rewards it offers to the human race are equally astonishing.”

Lin Moyu felt a sudden sense of enlightenment. It really was impressive.

Among the human race, high-level Blacksmiths were exceedingly rare.

Even working at full capacity, they could only produce a limited number of quasi-legendary-grade items.

As for true legendary-grade equipment, that was entirely beyond their reach.

Thus, most quasi-legendary-grade equipment in human hands came from high-level dungeons.

A high-level dungeon like the Kunlun Divine Palace, capable of mass-producing such equipment, was of immeasurable importance.

With proper equipment, the overall combat strength of human class users could be drastically elevated.

A single top-tier item could even refine a class. That was no exaggeration.

Unfortunately, none of it mattered to Lin Moyu.

He had tested countless types of equipment, yet only the Monarch’s Scepter proved effective for him.

The undead army surged through the passage, slaughtering everything in its path.

Whether the leaders were awake or not, the skeletons hacked them down without mercy.

At this moment, the sheer brutality of the undead army was on full display.

Lin Moyu did not need to lift a finger. He simply advanced toward the summit.

The sounds of battle echoed unceasingly, notifications popping up one after another.

Step by step, he drew closer to the summit, until a formation appeared, blocking his path.

He was now only about 1,000 meters from the divine palace.

It was clearly visible now.

The divine palace was exquisitely constructed, perched atop the very tip of the mountain.

Its point of contact with the mountain peak was no more than a tiny spot, yet the structure stood flawlessly stable, unshaken even by the raging winds.

Wind chimes hung from its four corners, colliding and ringing endlessly.

Their sound drifted faintly through the air, like distant music.

Yet according to dungeon records, there was no mention of the divine palace.

Previous parties had simply opened a platform, fought their way through the passage, and encountered the dungeon boss at the end.

After defeating it, they exited. Nothing more.

But they had only ever used one key. Lin Moyu had used four.

The difficulty was more than quadrupled, and the outcome was entirely different.

At the very least, neither the formation before him nor the wind chimes and the divine palace appeared in any recorded run.

If they had appeared, they would not have gone undocumented.

The wind chimes’ melody was beautiful, yet tinged with sorrow.

It was a symphony, a story.

As Lin Moyu caught its rhythm, his mind began to drift.

Within the sound, he seemed to glimpse fragments of ancient scenes, echoes of long-forgotten events.

His soul force surged under the wind chimes’ influence.

His morale rose, his spirit burned, and his battle intent boiled over.

A sudden urge welled up within him: rush into battle and fight valiantly alongside his undead army.

Lin Moyu instantly realized something was wrong. Yet he couldn’t stop himself.

“This isn’t right! Stop!”

He roared in his heart, struggling to rein in his soul as his will clashed violently with his subconscious.

Suddenly, the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal erupted with a thunderous roar.

Lin Moyu shuddered. In an instant, his mind snapped back into clarity.

He let out a long breath, cold sweat trickling down his back.

He reflected on how close he had come to losing control.

“Law force…”

Fear lingered in his heart. He had never expected the wind chimes to contain traces of law force. Without realizing it, he had nearly fallen into a trap.

The four wind chimes adorning the divine palace were anything but ordinary.

Lin Moyu’s alertness surged to its peak. This was no benevolent place.

He might have treated the dungeon casually, but the divine palace atop Kunlun Mountain’s peak was riddled with danger at every step.

He guarded his soul tightly and deliberately turned his attention away from the divine palace.

The 400 leaders within the passage had almost been completely wiped out.

As the final leader fell, the clouds churned violently. Vast torrents of elements converged from all directions.

The mountain peak shook as a colossal figure descended from the sky, carrying with it a raging snowstorm.
