Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Lin Moyu could not stop the law’s infiltration.

Originating from the blood of an unknown powerhouse, the law was overwhelmingly powerful, terrifying in both presence and force.

It seeped into his soul as well, yet it stirred no response from the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal. There was no trace of malice.

Since he couldn’t resist it, he could only accept it.

The law stimulated the energy coursing through his body, simultaneously stirring his soul force. The restraints deep within his soul weakened, and strands of soul force began to spill out.

The surging law fused with the unleashed soul force, merging into a vast sea that surged toward the 者 character on the back of his right hand.

All power converged into that single character.

“Hot… extremely hot!”

It felt like a blazing fire devouring the back of his hand.

Amid the burning brilliance, the 者 character detached itself from Lin Moyu and floated before him.

Because of soul force, Lin Moyu could clearly sense that the 者 character had a subtle connection to him, as if it were a part of himself.

He had never felt this way before, not even with his own skills.

More blood dripped from above.

Each drop fell onto the 者 character, staining it a reddish-purple hue.

A vast law force seeped in, and the 者 character began to transform.

Its strokes twisted, bending inward as its form shrank.

At last, the 者 character condensed into a bead the size of a fist.

“A skill star core!” Lin Moyu was shocked.

He had never imagined that the 者 character—once removed from his body and nourished by the mysterious blood—would transform into a skill star core.

Instinctively, he reached out, but the skill star core turned into a streak of light and shot into his glabella.

A new skill star core appeared within his soul.

His soul trembled violently. At that moment, all restraints shattered completely, and his soul force surged forth without limit.

Clarity flooded his mind as torrents of soul force poured continuously into the skill star core.

Infusing soul force and raising the fusion rate, nothing mattered more.

Lin Moyu focused entirely on this task, pouring in soul force relentlessly, sparing no effort.

Increasing the fusion rate was notoriously difficult, and the first infusion was always the best chance. He had to seize it.

On the surface, he seemed calm, but within, a storm raged.

This was the first time he had mobilized his soul with such reckless intensity, completely ignoring the consequences.

All that mattered was raising the fusion rate.

As he infused soul force, the skill star core began to glow, layers of gold emerging one after another.

Seeing this, Lin Moyu pushed even harder. He knew that the more he invested now, the greater the return would be.

He had experienced soul backflow three times before.

Each time, the soul force purified by the skill star core elevated the rank of his soul.

Ever since his soul rank reached God-level, his progress had slowed to a crawl.

Even using the Blueluster Fire on the Domain Divine Stone was becoming less effective and would soon reach its limit.

The Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal was formidable, but its enhancement was slow and required long-term refinement.

By contrast, the soul backflow from a skill star core provided a substantial, immediate leap.

His soul was already on the verge of reaching level 91—only a thin barrier remained.

Lin Moyu believed that after this soul backflow, his soul rank would naturally break through to level 91.

The higher the soul rank, the purer the soul force.

Normally, a class user’s soul rank was close to their level, though usually a bit lower.

Soul force itself was easy to obtain—one only needed to kill monsters.

But raising the soul rank was far more difficult and typically occurred only passively.

This was why ascending to God-level was so hard.

Most class users became stuck at level 88 or level 89, unable to advance even a single step.

But Lin Moyu’s path differed entirely from that of ordinary class users.

Because of various fortuitous encounters, his soul rank had long surpassed his level.

His soul rank was a large bucket, while his soul force was the water inside, still far from filling it.

He wasn’t in a hurry to fill it. He cared more about strengthening the bucket itself and increasing its capacity.

Under Lin Moyu’s relentless infusion, the Primordial Rune’s skill star core finally reached its limit.

A hollowed-out sensation washed over him. It was the unmistakable feeling of total soul force exhaustion.

Even with the support of Divinity Force, he couldn’t sustain such consumption.

His soul felt parched, and a heavy drowsiness pressed down on him, as if he could sleep for three days and nights.

Yet despite the discomfort, a smile appeared on his face.

His connection with the skill star core had become tighter than ever, stronger even than with his other three skill star cores.

The Primordial Rune’s skill star core was truly extraordinary; he had never imagined it could absorb all of his soul force.

Unlike his original skill star cores, which became saturated after only a small amount.

After finally reaching fullness, the skill star core began to spin rapidly within his soul.

As it rotated, it released streams of pure soul force.

This soul force originated from him yet returned even purer after the skill star core’s transformation.

His soul, like parched earth, was instantly nourished.

The skill star core spun faster and faster. Lin Moyu couldn’t count the revolutions; it had to be over 10,000 per second.

The expelled soul force only grew stronger, and his soul rank steadily climbed.

It was a mutually beneficial cycle, and Lin Moyu was overjoyed.

With a silent tremor, his soul rank advanced, finally breaking through to level 91.

The skill star core rooted itself firmly within his soul.

It continued spinning at incredible speed, completely unlike his other three skill star cores, and showed no sign of slowing down.

Lin Moyu sensed it might continue spinning endlessly.

It radiated pure golden light, leaving him shocked and exhilarated.

“Could the fusion rate have reached 100%?”

“That shouldn’t be possible…”

Antares had once told him that before becoming a Transcendent God-level powerhouse, a skill’s fusion rate was capped at 99%.

But the skill star core before him was entirely golden, flawless and pure.

Seeing it wasn’t enough. Heart pounding with excitement, Lin Moyu checked its properties.

[Focus Power (fusion: 99%): consumes soul force to gather the power of summons, inheriting every one of their skills and allowing the user to wield them with strength limited only by their soul rank. While in the Focus Power state, killing enemies harvests their souls, replenishing the user’s soul force and increasing their soul rank.]

The fusion rate had indeed reached 99%. Lin Moyu guessed the final percent should be at the very center of the skill star core.

He estimated he would need to reach Transcendent God-level before the skill could achieve 100% fusion rate.

Still, a fusion rate of 99% was already overwhelmingly formidable. It was more than enough.

He shifted his attention to the skill’s properties.

The rune on his hand had transformed into a skill star core, then fused directly into his soul. It was only natural for the skill to undergo profound changes.

First, the time limit was gone. As long as he had enough soul force, he could maintain Focus Power indefinitely.

Second, its attribute ceiling was constrained solely by the user’s soul rank.

In other words… it ignored laws.

Lin Moyu’s heart trembled. His soul rank had already reached level 91.

If he activated Focus Power, could she reach level 91 and become a God-level expert in one step…?

No, rather, a single skill would grant him true God-level combat strength.

And there was one more critical change: killing enemies while in the Focus Power state allowed him to harvest their souls to restore his consumption of spirit force while simultaneously raising his soul rank.

What was this…?

A perfect cycle of battle-fed growth—fighting to sustain fighting, and growing stronger with every fight.

“I wonder… can I harvest the souls of enemies slain by my undead army?”

He felt like he was dreaming, but there was only one way to know for sure.

“Young One, are you done looking?”

Just as Lin Moyu was deep in thought, an aged voice suddenly rang out.

The secret realm was utterly silent; there wasn’t even wind here.

And there wasn’t a single person near him. If anyone had approached, his soul would have reacted instantly.

The sudden voice made his heart jolt.

Lin Moyu opened his eyes to see an old man smiling kindly at him.
