Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Sword light erupted, a blinding radiance tearing across the battlefield.

The three steel giants were hurled backward, their supposedly indestructible bodies shattering like brittle tofu beneath the blow.

With a single strike, they were nearly erased from existence.

Though the gap between level 90 and peak level 92 spanned only two levels, the disparity in strength was severalfold—especially with the Skeletal King’s Godslayer, whose power surpassed the limits of level 92 entirely.

Sword light flooded the battlefield, cleaving through endless enemies and cutting them in half with ease.

Empowered by the combined force of 20,000 skeletons and further amplified by the Enhance Troops skill, even the second Skeletal King, still short of God-level, could instantly annihilate anything below God-level.

The skill’s might was simply overwhelming.

Explosions roared across the battlefield.

The Skeletal Kings moved like lightning. The moment Godslayer was unleashed, Elemental Rampage followed.

No restraint, no hesitation—no strategy was even necessary. These two skills alone were enough to wipe out the majority of the enemy forces.

The steel giants were blown apart, their remains scattered beyond recovery. Countless other enemies perished alongside them.

One Skeletal King charged from the front, the other from behind, plunging into the enemy ranks for close-quarters slaughter.

Their bone swords swept in wide arcs, sword qi crisscrossing the battlefield and flinging enemies through the air.

No foe survived a single exchange.

The Headless Knights crashed into the battlefield next. Their Charge skill detonated with terrifying force, sending enemies flying regardless of whether they stood on the ground or hovered in midair.

Their swords were just as merciless, cleaving through enemies.

Close behind them came the Skeletal Berserk Warriors, opening with Berserk Blast to maximize carnage in the opening moments.

The Skeletal Great Mages and Skeletal Marksmen joined the fray as well.

Upon reaching legendary-grade, their attack ranges had expanded to a staggering extent. Even Lin Moyu himself was uncertain of their limits.

The Skeletal Great Mages unleashed Elemental Rampage identical to the Skeletal Kings’, only slightly weaker.

But their numbers were immense, and the resulting explosions overlapped endlessly, shaking the battlefield without pause.

The Skeletal Marksmen’s Soul Shots struck unerringly.

Though the enemies were artificially created, they possessed soul-like existences, making every kill feel no different from slaying a living being.

Lin Moyu could not help but marvel at the secret realm’s master. Compared to simple puppet trials, this was on an entirely different level.

He was certain that 100,000 elites and three God-level beings were far from the secret realm’s true limit. At most, it was the extent the old man could currently manifest.

From the very moment the battle began, Lin Moyu’s forces held absolute dominance.

The God-level Skeletal King obliterated the three God-level steel giants with just two skills before charging into the battlefield, beginning an unrestrained massacre.

The Headless Knights rampaged alongside it, skeletal warhorses blazing with ghostly flames.

Rings of light radiated from beneath their feet—Ice Ring, Fire Ring, Lightning Ring, Poison Ring—inflicting damage long before making contact with the enemies.

The foes were already grievously wounded before combat truly began.

The Wing Ring further enhanced the Headless Knights’ speed, rendering them swift, elusive, and impossible to intercept.

Whether human, Dragonkind, or Demon, none could withstand their charge.

Lin Moyu soon realized that although the humans, Dragonkind, and Demons created by the secret realm possessed formidable auras, their actual strength was lacking.

Their skills were chaotic and unrefined—raw power without the knowledge to wield it.

“If I’m not mistaken, these are skill memories left behind by previous trial-takers of the three races.”

“They were eliminated too early, so the skills they left behind are pitifully few. Some may not have left any skills at all.”

“That guy merely pieced together fragments, resulting in these flawed imitations.”

This trial was far too easy for him, much easier than the previous one.

The opponent that had perfectly mimicked Lin Moyu had indeed caused him trouble, but now all he had done was issue a single command. The undead army took care of everything else on its own.

Just as he had expected, the Enhance Troops skill continued to extend its duration as enemies fell. Even after 30 seconds, it showed no sign of ending and had yet to enter cooldown.

At this point, the cooldown no longer mattered.

The battle had devolved into a one-sided massacre.

The complete annihilation of the enemy was only a matter of time, and not much time at that.

In less than ten minutes, the battle ended.

Under the unrestrained slaughter of the undead army, the force of 100,000 was wiped out completely, with no survivors.

Lin Moyu looked up at the sky, his gaze calm and sincere, his expression harmless. There was no trace of someone who had just erased an entire army.

He waited for the second round of the trial. Instead, he was met with blood.

Thick, iron-scented blood from the Primordial Bird fell down from the heavens, splashing onto his body.

The scene repeated itself.

Lin Moyu froze slightly, “The trial is over?”

“Just one round?”

“Wasn’t the difficulty supposed to increase?”

He had expected a second and even a third round. This felt almost perfunctory.

Still, it was better this way. The longer the trial dragged on, the more variables could arise.

All he wanted was the Primordial Skill. Obtaining it was enough.

Thunder roared through the sky once more, not a single peal this time, but many.

The old man did not appear; instead, he vented his anger through the thunder itself.

Whether Lin Moyu understood it or not was irrelevant.

Bathed in blood, Lin Moyu gazed skyward and thought, “The rules must prevent him from intervening personally.”

He knew all too well that if the old man were able to act directly, he would already be dead.

The blood coated his body, its scent reaching its peak—then suddenly vanished, seeping entirely into him and leaving not a trace behind.

The laws contained within the blood flowed through his body, forming a bridge between his soul and the Primordial Rune.

Driven by the law force, Lin Moyu’s soul force bearing his unique imprint surged toward the rune.

After absorbing the law force of the Primordial Bird, the Primordial Rune awakened, revealing its second form.

A massive Bing (兵) character appeared, suspended in midair.

One drop of blood after another fell from the sky, landing upon the character.

Having experienced this once before, Lin Moyu knew this was the final step in the transformation of the Primordial Rune into a Primordial Skill.

The process required the blood of the Primordial Bird.

Once again, he had to admire the methods of the secret realm’s master. They were truly profound.

At some point, the thunder ceased. Silence fell over the surroundings.

Lin Moyu understood that the old man had likely given up.

The rules of the secret realm were not something he could contend with. At best, he might make minor adjustments, but the overall outcome was immutable.

All he could do was watch as Lin Moyu obtained the second Primordial Skill.

Soon, the skill star core formed from the Bing (兵) character appeared before him, then shot directly into his soul world.

His soul force boiled once more, surging violently into the skill star core.

However, he had expended far too much soul force earlier. Although the backflow from the skill elevated his soul rank, the consumed soul force was still gone.

Even with the continuous recovery provided by Divinity Force, it had only restored him to about two-thirds of his peak.

“I should’ve dragged the trial out longer…”

Lin Moyu realized he had acted too hastily.

Wanting to leave his opponent no opportunity to interfere, he had ended the battle with ruthless efficiency.

Ironically, that decisiveness had backfired, leaving him short on soul force.

“I wonder what the fusion rate will be this time.”

“I’ve done all I can. The rest is up to fate.”

A trace of helplessness surfaced, but Lin Moyu quickly let it go.

Perfection was impossible in all things, and disappointment was pointless.

Acceptance replaced regret almost instantly.

A hollow sensation spread from his soul as the Enhance Troops skill star core ceased absorbing.

Like the Focus Power skill star core, it began to spin rapidly, though noticeably slower due to the shortage of soul force.

Aside from that difference, everything else was identical.

Soul force feedback poured forth, further elevating Lin Moyu’s soul rank.

[Enhance Troops (fusion 50%): consumes soul force to increase the base attributes of the user and all summons by 200%, and all attacks deal an additional 500% damage. The magnitude of the attribute increase is only limited by the user’s soul rank. While in the Enhance Troops state, killing enemies harvests their souls, replenishing the user’s soul force and increasing their soul rank.]
