Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Tang Sheng had trained alone for many years, spending most of his time in the wilderness with no one to talk to.

Now that he finally saw another person, he naturally became quite talkative.

After chatting for a while, Lin Moyu quickly understood Tang Sheng’s worries.

In fact, they weren’t unique to him. Almost everyone who obtained a Primordial Rune struggled with the same dilemma before entering the Primordial Space.

Anyone who acquired a Primordial Rune could clearly feel its immense assistance.

Lin Moyu himself relied heavily on the Primordial Rune skill Enhance Troops to defeat powerful enemies.

Without it, his leveling journey would have been far more difficult.

But eventually, all Primordial Rune holders faced two choices.

The first was to ignore the secret realm entirely and simply use the Primordial Rune until reaching God-level, at which point the rune would naturally disappear. If they failed to reach God-level, they could retain the skill for decades, until the next batch of Primordial Runes appeared.

The second choice was to enter the Primordial Space and attempt to permanently keep the Primordial Rune, including even after becoming a God-level powerhouse.

However, the Primordial Space was notoriously difficult. Very few ever succeeded in retaining their rune.

Many chose to enter at level 89, gambling everything for that slim chance.

Others entered earlier to take advantage of the many benefits inside, which could help them advance to God-level.

Many who entered the Primordial Space eventually succeeded in reaching God-level.

Tang Sheng was thinking along exactly those lines. Now at level 86, he wanted to take the risk.

After hearing him out, Lin Moyu smiled, “Some things are best faced head-on. There’s no need to overthink.”

“Sometimes, thinking too much only becomes a burden.”

“Senior Tang, I have a saying for you.”

Tang Sheng asked, “What is it?”

From their conversation, Tang Sheng could already tell that the young man named Lin Moyu was far from ordinary.

After all, how could someone who possessed two Primordial Runes be ordinary?

And being only level 74, traveling alone to such a place—he was shrouded in mystery.

Lin Moyu spoke slowly: “If I gain it, it is my fortune. If I lose it, it is my fate.”

Tang Sheng silently repeated the words.

His body trembled, and the sword in his hand let out a long, clear hum.

His aura sharpened instantly, like a sword drawn from its sheath.

Lin Moyu’s words completely dispelled his hesitation.

“Advance bravely… my sword will only become sharper.”

“If I hesitate, my sword will rust.”

Tang Sheng cupped his hands in sincere gratitude, “Brother Lin, your words have enlightened me. I was overthinking.”

“Whatever the outcome, I will end my years of isolated training, refine my skills, and prepare to break into God-level.”

Lin Moyu smiled, “Senior Tang, you go in first. I’ll wait for you outside.”

The Primordial Space admitted only one person at a time.

Since he had already found it, Lin Moyu didn’t mind waiting a day or two.

Tang Sheng laughed heartily, “Very well!”

With the sharp bearing of a swordsman, he stepped into the secret realm.

Lin Moyu sat cross-legged outside, waiting for him, and taking the chance to familiarize himself with his skill.

After integrating the Summon Skeletal King’s skill star core into his soul, he hadn’t used the skill.

With a single thought, all his skeletons appeared beside him.

At level 74, the capacity of his summon space had increased to 3,200.

His total undead army had grown to 172,800, an increase of 13,800 from level 73.

His army grew steadily with each level, and the rate of growth was only increasing.

Currently, his skeletons alone numbered 129,600.

Nearly 130,000 skeletons filled the surrounding land, stretching across several thousand meters.

Lin Moyu willed, and the skill star core embedded in his soul blazed to life.

The sky dimmed instantly. Clouds churned overhead, turning the world pitch-black.

Only the soul fires flickering within the skeletons’ skulls cast a faint, eerie glow.

“The skill… changed.”

Lin Moyu stared at the phenomenon before him. The skill hadn’t just activated, it had reshaped the environment itself.

A mass of silver-white flame erupted in the heavens. From within it, an enormous throne of bones emerged—grander, more terrifying than ever.

A Skeletal King materialized upon the throne, exuding a true God-level aura.

Joy flashed in Lin Moyu’s eyes. The power had grown, and not by a little.

Previously, summoning a Skeletal King with 100,000 skeletons yielded a being near God-level.

But now, with the same number…

Not only did the skeletons remain, the Skeletal King itself had broken through to God-level.

The merged skill star core had completely shattered the limits of the rules.

Even without Enhance Troops, a true God-level Skeletal King had appeared.

“Jackpot!”

The towering figure in the air was over 20 meters tall, wrapped in silver-white flames. The massive white bone sword it gripped burned with the same flames, reflecting the soul fire flickering inside its skull.

Compared to the old Skeletal King, this was a different existence entirely.

“Let’s confirm the changes.”

Lin Moyu flicked a finger, casting Detection.

[Skeletal King]

[Number of skeletons: 100,000]

[Strength: 2,600,000]

[Agility: 2,600,000]

[Spirit: 2,600,000]

[Physique: 2,600,000]

[Skills: Godslayer, Elemental Rampage, Absolute Defense]

[Godslayer: unleashes a physical strike against a single target or enemies in an area. Cooldown: 30 seconds.]

[Elemental Rampage: unleashes an elemental strike against a single target or enemies in an area. Cooldown: 30 seconds.]

[Absolute Defense: grants 99% damage immunity and complete damage immunity to all negative statuses for 1 minute. Cooldown: 5 minutes.]

Its attributes had officially surpassed 10 million, reaching 10.4 million, comparable to a freshly advanced level 90 expert. It was truly God-level.

All four of its attributes were perfectly balanced, without a single weakness.

Even though it lacked a standout specialty, sheer numbers alone made that irrelevant.

As Lin Moyu expected, its skills had changed as well.

The cooldowns for Godslayer and Elemental Rampage were reduced to 30 seconds, half of what they used to be, significantly boosting the Skeletal King’s combat power.

Although the description didn’t specify the damage, Lin Moyu knew it would be immense.

Absolute Defense had its cooldown cut from 10 minutes to 5, greatly enhancing the Skeletal King’s survivability.

Most importantly, the very existence of a God-level Skeletal King meant another powerful shield to absorb damage for Lin Moyu, further increasing his own safety.

He noticed threads connecting the skeletons to the Skeletal King, marking the ones used to summon it.

There were still 29,600 skeletons remaining.

After a brief thought, Lin Moyu cast Summon Skeletal King again.

Flames flickered across the sky, and a throne of bones materialized.

This time, the skill consumed 20,000 skeletons. The resulting Skeletal King was not God-level; its throne was less grand, and without the silver-white flames. It was clearly weaker.

The experiment wasn’t over. Lin Moyu activated Enhance Troops and checked the God-level Skeletal King’s attributes again.

They had increased further, but not by the previous 200%.

Each attribute had risen to 3 million, 12 million in total.

Based solely on attributes, it was equivalent to level 92, but still short of level 93.

The result left Lin Moyu slightly disappointed.

Without Enhance Troops, the God-level Skeletal King was far stronger than its earlier form.

However, with Enhance Troops active, the improvement was much smaller, making the difference from its former maximum far less impressive.

“It seems the rule’s influence is still there. I celebrated too early.”

“Still, with the cooldowns halved, its combat power has increased a great deal.”

“Enhance Troops is ultimately an external aid. I shouldn’t rely on it too heavily.”

“Once I leave this secret realm, I might lose the skill altogether.”

Lin Moyu glanced at the two skill runes on the backs of his hands, “If I can only keep one… which should it be?”

Both were excellent, but he knew better than to be greedy.

If only one could be kept… how should he choose?

Thoughts raced through his mind as he weighed the pros and cons.

Moments later, a sharp gleam flashed in his eyes. He had his answer.
