Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Enemies surged toward him from every direction. Lin Moyu instantly activated the Focus Power skill granted by the 者 character.

[Focus Power: for 5 minutes, the host gains all skills and a portion of the attributes of designated summons. Cooldown: 60 minutes.]

The description flashed through his mind.

“Five minutes? That’s nowhere near enough!”

There were far too many enemies. Five minutes wasn’t nearly enough to slaughter them all.

He instinctively checked his attributes and frowned.

[Lin Moyu]

[Level: 74]

[Strength: 1,000,000]

[Agility: 1,000,000]

[Spirit: 1,000,000]

[Physique: 1,000,000]

[Skill: Berserk Blast, Elemental Rampage, Soul Shot, Legion Enhancement, Legion Heal, Nillify, Charge, Group Defense, Immunity]

Each attribute sat at a flat 1 million, pitifully low.

Normally, without Focus Power, his base strength was 430,000, plus 500,000 from the Monarch’s Scepter.

Strength and agility reached 930,000, physique 1,030,000, and spirit exceeded 2 million.

Now that Focus Power averaged everything out to only 1 million, he was actually weaker.

He almost felt robbed… almost.

The saving grace was the flood of skills he inherited from the skeletons, Headless Knights, and Lich Generals.

Skills made all the difference.

Lin Moyu immediately activated the Lich Generals’ Legion Enhancement skill.

[Legion Enhancement (level 7): increases all attributes by 70%, increases attack speed by 70%, increases casting speed by 70%, increases physical defense by 70%, increases elemental defense by 70%, increases control resistance by 70%]

His attributes jumped to 1.7 million each.

The increased attack speed was especially obvious. His whole body felt lighter, more responsive.

By now, the enemies had nearly reached him.

“Let’s begin!”

With a low, excited shout, Lin Moyu activated a skill and rushed forward.

Skill: Charge!

In an instant, he shot forward at 3,000 meters per second, a speed he had never experienced.

His storage space was sealed, preventing him from retrieving weapons.

Fine. If he had no weapon, he would use his fists.

But it hardly mattered. Lin Moyu saw that the enemies carried weapons: swords, spears, shields, bows. He could simply take whatever he wanted.

The enemies themselves were like living shadows: black, smoke-like masses, vaguely humanoid but constantly shifting.

As Lin Moyu charged toward them like a storm, their forms rippled violently.

Each black shadow stood over five meters tall, towering above him.

With Charge active, Lin Moyu smashed into the nearest black shadow and followed with a heavy punch.

A thunderous boom rang out as the black shadow burst apart.

Charge dealt five times his strength as damage, dealing a devastating impact.

The shattered black shadow vanished, and the two-handed sword it had been holding dropped. Lin Moyu caught it before it hit the ground.

He lifted the weapon weighing hundreds of kilograms effortlessly with one hand.

But the moment he eliminated one black shadow, more took its place, weapons raised.

He swept the sword across, clashing against their weapons. The shock ran through his body.

The strength of the black shadows was nearly equal to his own.

Without using skills, they matched him, though he held a slight advantage.

An arrow suddenly whistled toward him.

A strange surge of power flooded into his body at that moment, but he had no time to examine it.

He twisted aside, dodging the arrow—only for more to follow, each shot unnervingly accurate, as if locked onto him.

He fought through the black shadows, slipping between their attacks.

He quickly realized that their offensive power nearly matched his own, and their combat skills were exceptional, barely inferior to his.

Without using skills, he had no way to handle them.

More and more black shadows closed in, shrinking the space Lin Moyu had to maneuver.

Gritting his teeth, he finally activated another skill.

Skill: Elemental Rampage!

Borrowed from the Skeletal Great Mages, it targeted no one in particular, unleashing a devastating, indiscriminate blast across a 100-meter radius.

Elements burst forth in a dazzling explosion of color.

Unsure if the skill alone would finish them, Lin Moyu dove in while the elements were still detonating.

A flurry of slashes followed. More black shadows fell, and soon he held another two-handed sword in his grasp.

Wielding a two-handed sword in each hand, he attacked with incredible speed.

Elemental Rampage had worked well, heavily injuring the black shadows and letting him cut them down effortlessly.

Lin Moyu sensed a faint, mysterious aura flowing into his body with each kill, so subtle he would have missed it if not for his sensitive soul.

But there was no time to investigate. More black shadows surged toward him.

Lin Moyu fought like a madman, losing himself in the carnage.

It had been a long time since he’d engaged in such intense close-quarters combat, and he found himself fully immersed, almost exhilarated.

He genuinely enjoyed melee battle; he had often charged into the fray before, taking the role of a Knight to lead his undead army head-on against bosses.

Maybe he really did have the makings of a melee fighter.

As the fight dragged on, he adapted, gradually unraveling the black shadows’ combat patterns.

Their combat skills were formidable, almost flawless, but rigid and predictable, lacking any real adaptability.

Moreover, their health was extremely low; a single solid strike could usually kill one outright.

So Lin Moyu began trading minor wounds for their lives.

Without using skills, he accepted small, inconsequential injuries in exchange for a guaranteed kill.

The Legion Heal skill proved invaluable. Light wounds vanished with a single cast, and even heavier ones needed only two or three.

Whenever his skills were available, he unleashed them. When they weren’t, he traded blow for blow.

The black shadows fell rapidly.

The first wave, numbering over a thousand charging black shadows, was completely annihilated.

When none remained in sight, he finally halted.

By then, far more than five minutes had passed, yet Focus Power was still active.

Lin Moyu was stunned. The sensation when he activated it had been the same as always.

The duration was definitely five minutes.

Yet it had clearly extended during the battle.

“It must be because I killed the black shadows. Killing them must extend the skill’s duration.”

“In that case… as long as I kill fast enough, I can keep Focus Power active indefinitely.”

“And by the end of the battle, I felt my strength surge again. The swords seem lighter in my hands.

Lin Moyu checked his attributes. Each one had risen to 2.04 million.

“2.04 million… that means my base attributes have hit 1.2 million.”

“I killed around 2,000 black shadows, so that’s 100 points per kill.”

He understood now: killing the black shadows not only extended the duration of Focus Power, it increased his base attributes as well.

And from experience, he knew this trial wouldn’t end with just one wave.

There would be a second. And a third.

If the Primordial Space trial was truly this simple, the success rate wouldn’t be so abysmal.

Sure enough, before he could even catch his breath, new enemies emerged in the distance.

This time, they were Knights—flame Knights.

Their bodies blazed with fierce fire, donning heavy armor, and even their mounts were encased in thick plates.

In an instant, Lin Moyu assessed the situation.

They were immune to the fire element, and their defenses were extraordinarily high, making them far tougher opponents than the black shadows.

Flames streaked across the battlefield as the flame Knights charged.

Lin Moyu’s body tensed. He couldn’t stop himself from muttering, “Damn it…”

They were using the exact same skill he had just unleashed—Charge.

His own skill turned against him.

The Charge skill was too fast; the distance of several kilometers was covered in the blink of an eye.

Without hesitation, Lin Moyu swung both swords.

Skill: Elemental Rampage!

Centered on him, a violent explosion erupted, ripping through everything within an area of 100 meters.
