STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Meeting hall,

”Jeremy Night, the son of City C Governor Ron Night,” old man Derek uttered.

”Yes, it’s him. Make sure to inform him. If he does well in the future, then the university is willing to support him and the Striker Department as well,” Dean Carolyn said.

”Okay,” Derek said.

Then he turned towards Jacob Henry and said, ”Teacher, Jacob. Jeremy Night is the representative of the Striker Department. Inform other representatives and students as well.”

Jacob startled all of a sudden before nodding his head. He thought the Head Teacher would be angry at him. But nothing like that had happened. He was worrying for nothing.

On the other hand, Ernest Knox’s eyes flash with a surprise. He didn’t expect to witness this reaction from the Dean. The Striker Department of their University has finally got their seed.

It will be interesting whether the seed grows into a tree or not. But it’s a pity again that he can recruit the son of the City governor into his family. Basically, they are part of the Human Alliance.

Violet Heath has also developed an unknown interest towards this new talent. Although she can’t recruit him. But she has decided to keep an eye on him.

One hour later,

The meeting ended and everyone left the place.

The following day,

Jeremy got up early. He then started doing his morning routine. He got free time one hour later. He simply sat cross-legged on the ground and began to check his mental zone.

The huge black door appears again. He looked at the concentric circles on the door. The 1st concentric circle’s 1st block was shining with light. It means he is still in the previous state.

[Beast Tamer: Tier-1, Rank 1- Peak Stage.]

[Lifeline Beast: Tier-1]

The lifeline beast (unknown egg) is the same as well. Jeremy guesses it will take time for the egg to adapt to this place. Then he appeared inside the mental zone.

He saw the unknown white egg on the platform. This place is filled with milky white energy. The concentration has increased compared to before.

Not only that unknown egg is also absorbing the natural energy from the surroundings. Just as he was observing the view, he heard a ringtone from his watch.

With a thought, he appeared back and checked the notification. The notification was sent by the management to his mail.

A hint of curiosity appears in his eyes. He opened the mail to read it.

A few minutes later,

His eyes widened in disbelief.

”I was appointed as the representative for the Striker Department,” Jeremy said to himself.

But soon his mood becomes neither happy nor sad. Happy because the University values his talent. It is sad because the position comes with responsibility.

He has to keep in touch with the Teacher and Management. He might have to listen to their orders. It can’t be helped right now. It’s already great that his information was kept confidential.

No one can force him to show the lifeline beast. So, at least, he can play along with the Management’s wishes. There is am university map came as an attachment.

With that, he can easily find any department. Out of curiosity, he opened it to view the map. The digital map appears on the screen. Then he saw the campus stretching for acres.

There are many buildings marked on the map. Considering the strength of the freshers this year. He can understand that each year students have multiple buildings to visit.

Then Jeremy found the location of the Striker department. The building is nearest to the dorm. Then he memorized the route before closing the mail.

”Now, I’m the representative of the Striker Department. I don’t know who will be the teacher. More importantly, I’m looking forward to seeing classmates of mine,” He said to himself.

About a few hours later,

He left the residence wearing a University Uniform. It can be called a Black Combat Dress. He started walking along the path. Then he noticed the other freshers going in a different direction.

Seeing them, he thinks there will be separate department buildings for them based on their students’ strengths. But when it comes to the Striker Department.

His eyes flash with a complex glint. He already has an idea about the Striker Department’s strengths. He doesn’t think there is a separate building for the Striker Department.

Because the building that he saw on the map has two other departments.

Soon, he arrived in front of the building. After looking at the sign board. His doubts were cleared. The current high-storey brick building in front of him has 3 Departments.

”1. Machinery Department, 2. Medicine Department and 3. Striker Department,” he muttered while reading the sign board.

The brick building has a total of 5 floors. The sign board says the 1st and 2nd floor is allocated for the Medicine Department. The 3rd and 4th floors are for the Machinery Department. The last 5th floor is for the Striker Department.

The signboard itself spoiled his mood. To be honest, it was something to be expected when he first knew his talent. But he never thought it would be this bad.

Then he started walking towards the entrance. When he arrived at the spot. The glass door opened upon sensing my presence.

He walked inside the building. Then, he saw students in black uniforms going about their business. What makes them different? It’s the name badges on their chest.

”Where is mine?” He asked.

Then he realised that he got to know his department this morning. After pushing down these thoughts, he headed towards the lift.

Shortly afterwards,

The lift reaches the 5th floor. He stepped out of the lift and started walking towards the class. But what awaits him is nothing but a surprise.

Because he sees no one on this floor. He immediately sprinted forward to check the classrooms. But all he could see was empty halls.

The 5th floor has 3 big lecture halls. But all of them were empty. Except for the 1st lecturer hall, the other 2 were closed. It appears as though two lecture halls were closed down for a long time.
