STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Dean Carolyn Morgan furrows her eyebrows before asking, ”Show me the profiles of all the department representatives.”

Hearing that old man Derek Gibson then selected the profiles of 9 Department Representatives. Their profile picture appears on the blue screen.

All the Teachers are looking at the information. Dean Carolyn eases her eyebrows down as she finds that all the representatives have good talent.

They are slightly weaker than May Lindsey and Victor Scott. As long as they can guide them properly, there would be a balance of strength between all the departments.

She knows that if the balance is broken. Then the Beast Tamers would find themselves in politics. Especially the two sitting next to her. They were keen to recruit people.

She won’t be surprised if they recruit representatives of these Departments.

Ernest Knox is seriously going through the profile information. Since it’s impossible to recruit the S- Graders. He intends to recruit at least one or two people from the selected representatives to his family.

At the same time, Violet Heath is also looking at the information. She wants to recruit those without background and female beast tamers.

A few minutes later,

Violet Heath is interested in the Medicine Department female representative, Joan Shields. Because she was one of three female representatives who had no big background.

The First one is May Lindsey of the Elemental Department and The second one is Holly Garner, the Special Department Representative. Holly Garner is from the Mid Power Family in City A.

She can’t recruit her and May Lindsey. Which leaves only Joan Shields.

Suddenly, she notices something. There are Ten departments. All the representatives were shown except the Striker Department.

And she knows why. The Striker Department’s name comes from the Beast Tamers, who fight themselves against the Corrupted Beast without the use of a lifeline beast.

It happens when awakened talent is related to individual talent. Such talent can’t be shared or is not useful for the lifeline beast.

So, the early beast tamers were forced to learn fighting moves themselves to fight against the Corrupted Beasts and earned the title of Strikers.

Human Alliance values every talent.

Even if it’s an individual talent, as long as they have above average grades (Above C Grade), they are given the opportunity as Beast Tamers. That’s when the Striker Department was created.

But the problem is that the Striker Department has the lowest student count among all the departments. Those who awaken individual talent are few. Not everyone among them can awaken a talent with above-average grades.

They also need a suitable Lifeline beast to bond. If not, they won’t have a chance to evolve and reach higher tiers. So she thinks that this year no top individual talent appeared in the Striker Department.

Just as she is pondering, someone else notices the problem as well.

”What happened to the Striker Department?” Dean Carolyn asked.

Quiet!

Hearing that everyone quieted down. The Teachers were taken aback by surprise. Because the Striker Department has always been at the bottom of all departments. They have a low student count as well.

It’s very rare for individual talent with good grades to appear.

”Striker Department?”

”Isn’t it the Trash Department?” Ernest asked.

As a 3rd year student, he is aware of the 10th Department. To him, they are just desperados who are using their own bodies to fight.

Their numbers are small, to begin with. And they have more chances to meet with death. He doesn’t know why the Dean is asking this right now.

Violet Heath’s eyes flash with a surprise. She was almost convinced that there was no talent in the Striker Department. Otherwise, a representative for that department would have been selected.

At the same time, someone else was shocked. The person was none other than Jeremy Night. It’s his responsibility to select representatives. All the top-grade talents are selected as representatives in other departments.

But the Sticker Department is different. He didn’t have full details on the selected student. His name is Jeremy Night, with Grade-A Supreme Combat Body Talent. Which is clearly an individual martial talent.

But there is no information regarding the lifeline beast. Because it’s necessary to know lifeline best information as well. Only with this information can one determine a suitable department.

”Why is everyone silent?”

”Head Teacher Derek, what’s going on?” Dean Carolyn asked.

A hint of anger appeared in her eyes. Seeing her bad mood, Even Ernest Knox was shocked and surprised.

”What’s going on?”

”Did someone talented appear in the Striker Department?” Ernest thought. His golden eyes flash with interest.

Others don’t know but Dean Carolyn knows that Jeremy Night was someone recommended by one of the lords in the Human Alliance.

All of that kid’s information was confidential, including his lifeline beast. According to sources, she knows that Jeremy Night’s lifeline beast was given to him by the Lord.

There are high chances that it’s a powerful beast with a high Bloodline limit. Only such conditions warrant confidentiality.

The Teachers are shocked as well. Everyone used to ignore the Striker Department. Because there is no Teacher dedicated to the Striker Department. Everyone took their classes in their free time.

Since there was no teacher. No one is responsible here to answer Dean’s question.

Sigh!

”Looks like I have neglected this department for a long time. Not even a teacher was specifically appointed for the Striker Department,” Dean Carolyn said with a sigh.

The Sticker Department used to have golden days. Especially when the department was created. But it’s been decades since any notable talent appeared.

Now that department was in decline. If she wants to improve the Department, then she needs talent. The appearance of Jeremy Night has allowed her to do that.

Teacher Jacob Henry found the gaze of Head Teacher Derek looking at him.

Dean Carolyn said, ”Student Jeremy Night will be representative of the Striker Department. And I will personally supervise the department from here onwards.”

Hearing that everyone was dumbfounded again. They don’t understand why Dean Carolyn wants to take care of the Department in decline.

Some Teachers immediately recognised Jeremy Night. Because the Night Family is one of the City Governors Family in City C. So, people are familiar with the name.
