Pillar of Yita

The commotion at the port naturally caught the attention of the people from the Hailin Commerce Guild who were loading supplies in the port, and through layers of reports from the native sailors, it reached Lair’s ears.

Several core members of the Descendants of Flor were discussing the matters of the Art of Conflict Guild. Tus’s failure left them feeling a bit awkward, not only failing in their revenge but also losing a person, leaving them somewhat disgraced.

”A wanted order?” Lair asked the native sailor.

The sailor nodded.

”Did you see clearly?”

”I saw it as clearly as could be, sir.”

Lair shook his head. Even if it really were those people, such a coincidence, the current mission was more important to them.

But just at this moment, his Communication Crystal lit up. Lair waved his hand to signal the sailor to leave, then picked up the Communication Crystal, hearing the serious voice coming from within, and replied:

”It’s me, Lair.”

”Lair, there’s an urgent mission for you all.”

Lair’s expression turned serious at first, but gradually a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, and after a while, he couldn’t help but ask, ”What about our mission?”

”This is top priority.”

The voice carried a tone that brooked no argument.

Lair paused for a moment, then slowly nodded his head. After a few more nods, he extinguished the Communication Crystal.

The others had already noticed the disturbance over here, and as he set down the crystal, someone raised their head and asked, ”Big L, what’s going on?”

Lair looked up at the others. ”Didn’t you want a chance for revenge? Here it comes.”

”What’s the situation?” The crowd was shocked. Their captain, who prioritized current objectives above all else, had changed his tune?

”Orlenze City is issuing a wanted order for those people. We’re going out to lend a hand.” Lair succinctly stated.

”Those people?”

”Exactly the ones you have in mind.”

”Wait, what about our mission, we’re ignoring the lost items?”

Lair looked at the others and replied word by word, ”This, too, is an order from the Alliance.”

...

The Seven Seas Traveler was leaving from beneath the Floating Island Whale, gliding towards the lower port layers.

Fang Hong’s tactical maneuver of descending the ship proved effective, with the enormous branches of Giant Tree Tarn obstructing the port’s cannon range, shielding them from threats overhead.

Meanwhile, under the combined effort of Xiangzi, Parker, Bakins, and Hilveld, the Seven Seas Traveler was steering into the shadow of the Tower Giant Tree.

This way, several Magic Towers on Orlenze’s side lost their effectiveness.

The Flying Dragon Knights were the first to pursue.

The enormous and formidable Ironfeather Pterosaur spread its wings, revealing its claws, and the knight on its back thrust forward with a lance.

The fierce wind rushed forward, yet the maid with her long hair coiled up stood like a javelin on the deck, unmoved except for the strands flailing beside her ears.

She raised her massive arm armor, grasping the lance’s tip, pulling the Dragon Knight from the saddle and tossing him over the other side of the ship.

Without its rider, the Ironfeather Pterosaur collided with the mast, flapping its wings a few times to ascend, and discovering it had lost its rider, circled a few times above before flying off towards Orlenze.

Bakins, with a short knife in one hand and a Magic Guided Gun in the other, leaped from the mast directly onto the Ironfeather Pterosaur’s back as the Flying Dragon Knight approached.

The Dragon Knight couldn’t even react to what had happened, turning to engage in close combat, only to see the opponent deftly free a hand to undo the saddle’s straps quickly, slicing through the belt with a knife and pulling.

With a scream, he and the saddle rolled into the Cloud Sea.

The Bosun stood up, grabbing the Ironfeather Pterosaur’s iron feathers with one hand, and shot it in the eye socket with a gun.

The beast howled in agony, struggling in mid-air, while he took the opportunity to let go, grabbing a transverse rope.

On Xiangzi’s side, it was simpler, raising the short staff to grab the lance Xiesta had tossed onto the ground with a force field hand and flinging it back.

The knight on the pterosaur’s back was caught off guard, getting pierced directly, the man and the dragon both crashing onto the deck.

Fang Hong glanced at the battle situation and had Miss Tata take over the heavy crossbow machines on both sides of the deck.

With the Fairy Miss’s control over the Seven Seas Traveler, any target approaching the ship within a certain range was struck with unerring accuracy.

In an instant, those automatically operating heavy crossbows became the Flying Dragon Knights’ worst nightmare.

These heavy crossbow machines were the best construct crossbows the Tansnier Crafting Association could scrounge up, requiring a Magic Guided Reactor with an energy level output of over twenty-seven. The Magic Guided Reactor’s energy level is equivalent to its rank. Even the Papalarians needed to install an extra enhancement plugin to use, and these heavy crossbows were more than enough to pierce the not-so-heavy armor of the Flying Dragon Knights.

The Flying Dragon Knights had to disperse, and the Griffon Knights didn’t dare to join the fray so easily, flying at a distance.

But more crucially, as the Seven Seas Traveler continued descending in altitude, they sank below the Luyuan Zone.

In the distant clouds, the magnificent root system of the Giant Tree Tarn was clearly visible, and at this altitude, small flying creatures found it difficult to descend further.

Only two airships from the port followed up.

Fang Hong saw three more from another direction, which were reinforcements sent later by Orlenze.

A flash of fire erupted as they opened fire, but the cannonball sailed harmlessly over the Seven Seas Traveler’s head.

In this classical era, due to the lack of electronic computers, the cannons on airships relied on mechanical fire control based on differential devices, but those high-efficiency systems were only found on naval battleships of various countries. In fact, most airships still depended on manual observation and calculations.
