Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 185: Chapter 176: Strength Potion

Ending the video call, Xu Xin first went to the planting room and allocated 50% of the amplification points to the wooden sign.

[Current decoration level: 211.68 (176.4+35.28), total allocatable increase: 60%]

The planting room didn’t seem to have changed much; Xu Xin checked the remaining growth time of the plants, and indeed, it had reduced by about one-third.

No problem, it definitely accelerates the plant growth!

Let’s start on his blue-level planting room plan right away!

Xu Xin immediately accessed the points marketplace, wanting to buy some blue-level fertilizer. After such a long accumulation, his points had surpassed 8000, allowing him to spend extravagantly.

”Hmm? New items have been listed?”

[Abstract Stone Sculpture (Blue): Sculpted by an unknown high-level artist, placing this statue in a tree house can increase decoration level. Abstract art, those who understand do, those who don’t still won’t understand even if explained! Required points: 500 (350). Remaining quantity: 1]

This item was highlighted in the most prominent part of the points marketplace with a close-up shot.

Sure enough, items related to decoration level had been listed. However, only one could be purchased per customer? 500 points without a discount is not something everyone can afford.

Without much thought, Xu Xin directly bought the abstract stone sculpture. He had plenty of points, and 350 points didn’t mean much to him, plus, the more decoration levels, the better.

”Boom!” With a giant sound, a person-high sculpture appeared before Xu Xin’s eyes.

An incredibly abstract sculpture, which Xu Xin couldn’t quite describe—somewhat like a torch, yet also like the swirl inside a toilet, just very abstract overall. Anyway, he found it unattractive.

[Detected placing of Abstract Stone Sculpture (Blue) in the tree house, tree house decoration level +30, current tree house decoration level: 247.68 (206.4+41.28)]

Only added thirty points?

Xu Xin was a bit disappointed. A blue-level sculpture, at the original price of 500 points, only had three times the decoration level than a green-level sculpture?

No, his sculpture should add more decoration points. Perhaps the sculpture is too abstract, hence the low addition. 500 points for 30 decoration points; such decoration level is indeed expensive.

Even if other survivors killed many ants last night and gained plenty of points, they might still not afford this statue. After all, they differ from Xu Xin, with most ants being slain by the bloodthorn vines below.

Browsing through the points marketplace again, there were some green-level items increasing decoration level, each costing 50 points, with a purchase limit of 1 each kind. Xu Xin casually bought one, only adding two decoration points, better than nothing, so he bought them all.

All these items in the marketplace added him 50 decoration points.

[Current tree house decoration level: 271.68 (226.4+45.28), total allocatable increase: 120%]

Okay, amplification points are plentiful again.

It seems this time only these were listed; who knows when the next update of the points marketplace will be—time to make some purchases.

Xu Xin spent 3500 points directly, buying 10 sets of blue-grade soil, and another 3500 points for purchasing 10 big flower pots.

Although large flower pots are expensive, they are a must-buy. To plant blue-grade plants in the tree house, large flower pots (Blue) are needed, and they also considerably accelerate plant growth.

Without large flower pots, planting would only be possible under the tree house, but in that case, flower pots and function area amplification wouldn’t be enjoyed—bearing fruit once in ten days is too slow.

Xu Xin went down to find some green-grade soil and brought it up, upgrading it with natural organic fertilizer (Blue) to fertile soil (Blue), and then he planted seeds of blue-grade fruits he frequently used.

After planting ten portions, Xu Xin discovered that the first apple tree he planted had already sprouted a significant seedling.

He immediately inspected it; the apple tree originally required ten days to bear fruit, but with pot and function area enhancement, it would mature in only four days! So fast!

Meanwhile, the blue-grade strawberries originally needed just five days to mature, now requiring only two days!

Quite impressive, his blue-grade planting room is already taking shape!

Having dealt with the planting room, Xu Xin went to the second floor. He first arrived at the alchemy room, allocating 60% amplification points to the alchemy room’s wooden sign, then went to the crafting room, allocating 60% amplification points to it.

Thus, all 271% of amplification points were allocated.

Then he went to the alchemy room. He currently had iron blocks and black metal blocks given by Li Wenxi, essentially ready to try crafting universal alchemy materials.

First, he refined an iron block and a black metal block into iron sand and black metal dust, then used them with mutated vine juice to craft.

[Please use a container to hold it.]

Xu Xin took out a conical reagent bottle and stored the crafted universal alchemy material inside.

[Obtained Universal Alchemy Material*1]

Xu Xin looked at the half reagent bottle of black viscous liquid with a faint metallic sheen in his hand, twitching his mouth.

...Use such a thing to craft a reagent and drink it?

Why does it seem like Emperor Shi’s Longevity Pill—it won’t cause heavy metal poisoning, right...

Xu Xin placed the universal alchemy material on the synthesis platform, took out ten apples (Blue), and clicked craft.

[About to craft Strength Potion, success rate 56% (50%+6%), proceed?]

?

This Strength Potion has only a 50% success rate?!

He allocated 60% amplification points, which merely increased the success rate by 6%, which is ridiculous!

Gritting his teeth, Xu Xin clicked continue. He also had the koi fish’s amplification, the actual success rate should exceed 70%.

[Crafting Success]

The notification relieved him; these were ten blue-grade apples and two blue-grade metal blocks—failure would be excruciating.

On the alchemy synthesis platform appeared a bottle of transparent, slightly red, juice-like liquid, entirely devoid of the black hue typical of universal alchemy materials.

[Strength Potion (Blue): A potion that slightly and permanently enhances strength, tastes very good!]

Xu Xin took a deep breath and downed the potion in one go.

The taste was tangy, somewhat sticky, like concentrated fruit juice.

After drinking the entire bottle, Xu Xin felt the changes in his body.

Similar to when he ate bear paws, a warm current flowed from his stomach to his heart, then spread throughout his body with the heartbeat—a very comfortable sensation.

Strength enhanced again! Xu Xin clenched his fists, shadowboxing a few times to feel the enhanced strength.

The amplified strength wasn’t as much as directly consuming apples; consuming apples directly gave a stronger sense, though that strength lasted only half an hour and wasn’t his own.

Moreover, the enhancement after drinking this potion allowed him to eat apples for additional strength, certainly raising his strength limit compared to before.

It’s quite good; indeed, permanently enhancing attributes is more practical!

He intended to try crafting other potions when his watch vibrated.

It was Ji Chaoyang calling him.
