Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 175: Chapter 167 Distribution of Resources, Night Falls!_2

”You might as well die, Jungle 188 doesn’t need trash like you. Don’t buy it, just wait and perish.”

”Damn, who said I couldn’t come up with anything?!”

At the same time, the [Explorer] group was bustling with activity.

Li Wenxi exclaimed, ”Oh my god, these sold out too fast. I sold all these, and they cleared out in seconds!”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Same here, gone in an instant. Damn, I forgot to save some for myself!”

Ji Chaoyang: ”I have some left here, enough for all of us.”

Qi Xuefei: ”Then... what should we do with these green-level resources we got in exchange? You four divide them?”

Qi Xuefei naturally referred to Xu Xin, Ji Chaoyang, Wen Guixin, and Wang Lei who went out.

Wen Guixin: ”They’re just green-level resources, I don’t really need them. They’re not very useful here with me.”

Wang Lei: ”Got any food? Just give me some food instead. There’s nothing to eat in the jungle now, and the fruits and vegetables I planted aren’t ripe yet. I’m relying on everyone’s help.”

Xu Xin thought for a moment and said, ”Give all these resources to Li Wenxi to manage. Didn’t you all say she was good at handling logistics?”

The capable do more work. Although Li Wenxi had told him more than once that she was lazy, even letting Xu Xin handle transactions for her, it seems she is indeed the best candidate for organizing logistics now.

Li Wenxi: ”Huh? Leave them with me?”

Ji Chaoyang: ”I agree, let’s use it for the team’s logistics support. Whoever needs it can get it from her.”

Li Wenxi: ”Uh... fine, I’ll sort and keep them for you... Wow, don’t just transfer everything over to me, it’s a mess! Sort them before giving them to me!”

Xu Xin stood up from the sofa and walked to the window to look outside.

Now, it was already dark, past six. It was very calm under his treehouse because he had cleared away the vines long ago.

With his excellent eyesight, Xu Xin squinted his eyes, gazing into the distance, taking in all the scenery. Looking around, he could see at least two particularly conspicuous trees in the forest. Those should be other people’s treehouses.

According to the distance, it was indeed ten-plus kilometers away.

The protection range of his treehouse was now six kilometers. He wondered if the range would increase with this treehouse upgrade.

If both sides expanded their protection ranges, the protected zones might overlap.

Perhaps this is what should really be considered in the second phase.

”Phew...” Next, there might not be much for him to do; it’s time to take a break.

”Hmm?” Just as he was about to turn his head, Xu Xin suddenly sensed the forest a few kilometers away seemed to be slightly shaking.

What’s going on?NovelFire

Is it because of the wind? No, the area of the shaking is getting larger!

Xu Xin’s pupils contracted; he immediately checked the map.

”...The nighttime danger isn’t just the vines under the treehouse!” Xu Xin gritted his teeth.

Around three to four kilometers from the treehouse, many red dots suddenly appeared! And new red dots kept appearing!

These red dots weren’t suddenly appearing from the ground; they were flowing out from about six or seven points, just like... like ants pouring out from an anthill!

Too many, there are too many of them! They are far more numerous than the red dots from the beast tide when the novice protection period ended!

Among the positions where red dots kept appearing, Xu Xin was familiar with two: one was the salt mine cave and the other, the lake center in the Hilly Resource Zone!

The enemy units were pouring out from those ground holes that suddenly appeared yesterday!

Xu Xin’s heart tightened.

Is it a regular beast tide, or a mutated beast tide?

This is one wave after another!

”Whimper!” Keke, who was lying on the sofa, suddenly jumped up and hurried to the window to look outside.

It seems Keke also sensed the danger!

Even Silver King and Mimi, who were resting on the floor after dinner, stood up.

At this time, Ji Chaoyang spoke in the [Explorer] group: ”Everyone, I can hear a dense sound of footsteps from afar, along with what seems like insect noises. Our trouble might not just be these mutated vines under the treehouse!”

Insects? Could it be an insect tide?

Although there were many red dots, each of them was quite dim, similar in brightness to a regular wild cat. Plus, with the sense of them pouring out from the ground cave, it genuinely seems like an insect tide!

Xu Xin immediately said, ”I see it too! About three to four kilometers away, the jungle is shaking, and they’re moving towards the treehouses. Everyone, be alert! And you guys, have you planted the Plant Heart seeds yet?”

Wen Guixin: ”Yes, I planted them as soon as I got back!”

Wang Lei: ”Me too!”

Ji Chaoyang: ”Fortunately, mine just got reminded to mature.”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Huh? What do we do? Will our treehouses be attacked?”

Ji Chaoyang: ”Your treehouse peripheries have vines, which might help fend off some attacks. Don’t use the Heart Fragments yet!”

Qi Xuefei: ”No way, those vines have already started attacking! Just one swipe on the treehouse armor leaves a big dent! They must be used!”

Li Wenxi: ”Same here! Oh my god! A piece of my treehouse armor is already shattered!”

Xu Xin looked at the map, where countless red dots had gathered into groups three to four kilometers away, all rapidly moving towards the treehouses!

At this rate, it won’t take more than a few minutes for these unknown enemy units to surround the treehouses completely!

Xu Xin: ”Then use them! After using them, the peripheral vines will still come out to attack, probably offering some resistance!”

Li Wenxi: ”Okay!”

What exactly are these red dots?

Meanwhile, Afu, hanging under the treehouse, also let out a warning screech, and even the previously hidden Ai Fei came out of the ground hole.

”Silver King, Mimi, Keke, let’s go down!”

”Whimper!” ”Howl!”

With the three beasts, Xu Xin anxiously watched the dense forest.

Silver King was now issuing a low growl, on high alert. Keke nervously clutched its shoulder.

Ai Fei suddenly brought two little ones out, and Xu Xin immediately understood its meaning, carrying the little ones to the treehouse before quickly coming back down.

As soon as he landed, Mimi suddenly sprinted into the distance at high speed, disappearing into the forest in an instant.

”Mimi!” Xu Xin couldn’t stop it, just watching Mimi run far away.

From the map, Mimi was approaching a group of red dots heading towards the treehouse. The moment it reached them, it immediately turned back and ran.

In just a few seconds, Mimi dashed out of the forest with a black thing in its mouth, which kept struggling, with transparent fluid dripping from it continuously.

Ants! They’re really ants!

And not ordinary ants, but giant ants as big as a cat!

Mimi ran up to Xu Xin and tossed the ant, bitten all over, onto the ground.

As soon as it was thrown, a vine as thick as an arm suddenly shot out from the ground, piercing through the ant instantly!

”Hiss—” Seeing the vine that brushed past his toes and nose tip, Xu Xin took a sharp breath, then smiled with joy.

This vine, although it didn’t have blood patterns or blood thorns and wasn’t mutated, doesn’t seem any worse than the mutated ones!
