Chapter 467: Chapter 467: The Dark Wing Commander, Displaying Divine Might

At the same time, within the Hunting Forest, Yu Wenxiong roared repeatedly, ”Soldiers of the Long Night Empire, do you really want to make enemies of us at Xingluo Palace? Don’t forget we still have the Xingluo General Academy.”

Clearly, Yu Wenxiong was under great pressure and resorted to using the Xingluo General Academy as a threat.

However, Sikong Jing, holding his sword, stood at the very front of the Dark Wing Army and responded directly, ”We never intended to make enemies of Xingluo Palace, but you insisted on killing people in the Court Hunting Ground. Now, we are expelling you.”

”Either leave, or die!”

Sikong Jing bellowed the two options and once again ordered the twenty thousand strong Dark Wing Black Burning Sword to strike in unison.

At this moment, Ji Ming stared unblinkingly at the battle below from atop a giant bird, his eyes filled with disbelief.

Guided by the Dark Wing Commander, the Dark Wing Camp relentlessly pushed back the terrifying experts of Xingluo Palace.

The Dark Wing Camp was not just a single large entity, but was also divided into several smaller units. When the experts from Xingluo Palace dispersed their attacks, these smaller units would counterattack under the leadership of their Deputy Generals, wielding the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword.

They continually forced back the powerhouses of Xingluo Palace with apparent ease.

”Have they split up? Then we shall divide and conquer.”

”Vice Commander Ning, take thirty thousand to attack Bai Changwu. Deputy General Fei Chiyu, lead twenty thousand to assault Yao Changgeng. The rest, form into teams of ten thousand and attack the Institute Masters and elders from various Star Academies...”

”Everyone, be ready to follow my orders at all times—do not act on your own initiative!”

Sikong Jing’s voice came from below again as he himself led fifty thousand troops in an onslaught against the two powerful experts, Yu Wenxiong and Feng Tingfu. Xingluo Palace was trying to spread out and find a weakness in the Dark Wing Camp, but it wasn’t going to be easy.

Indeed, the Dark Wing Camp within the mountain forest divided into more than a dozen phalanxes. Sikong Jing, while attacking Yu Wenxiong and Feng Tingfu, simultaneously managed the surrounding battle situation with a variety of orders.

His commands were continuously given.

”Gather together and take down this Commander,” Yu Wenxiong, nearly driven mad by the bombardment, immediately bellowed.

To catch a thief first catch the king—it was clear to them that the strength of the Dark Wing Camp stemmed from their Commander.

As long as the Commander was dead, the twenty thousand strong army would fall apart.

But Sikong Jing wouldn’t let them have their way.

”Release the arrows and scatter them!” Sikong Jing ordered loudly, calm as a starving wolf in the midst of a hunt.

Swish, swish, swish...

Arrows rained down, flying swiftly through the sky, slicing the experts apart and preventing them from regrouping.

Among them, experts from Xingluo Palace were hit by the arrows...

The arrow force of an Innate Second and Third Realm was not enough to penetrate their True Qi, but while the arrows were being released, the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword did not stop its barrage. When their True Qi was breached, the arrows made their way in.

Finally, an elder from Xingluo Palace was killed on the spot with a shriek.

”Agh, you have a lot of nerve to kill,” Yu Wenxiong screamed madly.

But Sikong Jing’s cold voice replied, ”There will always be casualties in an expulsion, and didn’t you, Yu Wenxiong, say that we lowly soldiers couldn’t stop you? Now tell me, are you convinced? Will you leave or not?”

His words harshly provoked Yu Wenxiong, who clenched his fists tight.

Then, Beigong Xianfeng spoke from atop a flying creature, ”Palace Master Yu, please leave. I do not wish to see more casualties.”

Yu Wenxiong’s teeth gritted audibly. Losing the life-and-death battle between the students had already been frustrating enough, and now were they going to be defeated by a mere group of soldiers? This would be an embarrassment that lasted all the way to his grandmother’s house.

”Kill, spare no expense in slaying that Commander.”

Yu Wenxiong had in fact been considering retreat, but he still wanted to kill the Dark Wing Commander, hoping to reclaim some face.

A host of Xingluo Palace experts went mad, all charging directly at Sikong Jing.

Still, Sikong Jing sat calmly atop his Black Steed, slowly raising his Sword Dao and said, ”After another volley of arrows, regroup. Yu Wenxiong says he wants to kill me, so how could I not return the favor?”

Arrow light, no matter how fast, was evaded by Sikong Jing leading the gathering Dark Wing Soldiers, avoiding the strong Yu Wenxiong and attacking a Star Academy Institute Master instead, instantly the Dark Wing Sword thundered through...

And then... Boom! Boom! Boom!

After several sword lights bombarded at once, that Institute Master lay dead on the spot.

No matter how strong their Martial Arts were, they couldn’t withstand the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword of two hundred thousand Innate Warriors.

Licking the corner of his mouth, Sikong Jing looked up again, ”Yu Wenxiong, don’t be obstinately foolish.”

He was now representing the Long Night Empire and the Black Burning Army. He couldn’t openly be hostile to the Long Night Star Palace, but he could seize the opportunity to eliminate a few more of their experts for the Holy Dragon Palace...

Yu Wenxiong trembled with rage, but he wasn’t ready to give up just yet. The experts regrouped, and the whole Long Night Star Palace bombarded together once more.

Astride a flying creature, Ji Ming slowly withdrew his gaze, staring straight at Beigong Xianfeng and asked, ”Old Commander, if this continues, we will draw the attention of Xingluo General Academy. Do you not understand how much trouble that will bring to the Long Night Empire?”

His point was clear; they could not continue to pressure Yu Wenxiong and the others, or the consequences would be severe.

Beigong Xianfeng looked back at Ji Ming, shrugged his shoulders and said, ”I have already displayed the might of the Long Night Empire. This is the strength of our Long Night Army. Xingluo General Academy will see that clearly. As long as we don’t go too far, they won’t act.”

Having said this, Beigong Xianfeng pointed down at the vast Dark Wing army and continued, ”Seventh Prince, we are the Empire. We are not to be bullied or slaughtered at will, we need not be humble. This battle has made that crystal clear.”

This was a lesson for Ji Ming, the Seventh Prince. The Seven Sects, Five Sects, and Three Academies might be formidable, but the Long Night Empire had an endless army.

Even if the individual strength was inferior, they could make up for it with numbers.

As long as they could show sufficient strength, why fear the Xingluo General Academy?

At this point, Beigong Xianfeng rose to his full height and suddenly leaped off the flying creature, a Long Spear appearing in his hand, which he swung furiously at Yu Wenxiong below, who was attacking the Dark Wing army. The blow sent him reeling...

Then he stood at the very forefront of the Dark Wing army, shouting coldly, ”Palace Master Yu, if you don’t leave the Court Hunting Ground now, I will personally join the battle. I’m giving you ten breaths to consider.”

After that, Cao Yi appeared, equipping Beigong Xianfeng with armor, piece by piece...

Yu Wenxiong felt a chill that seemed to seep into his bones, his teeth nearly shattering.

He stared at Beigong Xianfeng with a deadly gaze, but eventually, he dropped a harsh line, ”Fine, fine, fine. Beigong Xianfeng, I will remember you. Just wait for me to personally see the Long Night Emperor.”

If they couldn’t defeat even a small commander, let alone if Beigong Xianfeng personally joined the fight, there was nothing Yu Wenxiong could do but endure...

His prior disdainful remarks about the Long Night troops had all turned into a joke.

The more he thought about it, the deeper his hatred grew, but Yu Wenxiong could only gesture and say, ”We’re leaving!”

In an instant, a high-ranking expert from Xingluo Palace left begrudgingly.

Before leaving, Feng Tingfu also stared aggressively in Sikong Jing’s direction, letting out a threat, ”When I get free, I’ll kill you, you insignificant commander. You can’t always have troops with you.”

After dropping the threat, he too disappeared from sight, leaving the Court Hunting Ground.
