Chapter 482: Chapter 482 Seven Wolf Guards

The evaluations from Overlord Commerce have always been extremely accurate and authoritative.

What excited Ning Jingjing even more was that Sikong Jing’s ranking was already very close to that of Ji Ming, the top young master of the Long Night Empire.

It wouldn’t take long for him to surpass Ji Ming.

Ning Jingjing’s breathing became rapid, but not out of jealousy, only out of excitement for Sikong Jing’s strength.

”Brother Sikong, your ranking has even caught the Emperor’s attention, he might find time for a royal summons.”

Beigong Xianfeng displayed a satisfied smile. Although Sikong Jing was a student of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, he was also a local of the Long Night Empire, which naturally pleased the Long Night Emperor.

Moreover, Sikong Jing was only at the Eighth Layer of the Xuanjiang Realm, which was even more shocking.

Seeing that Sikong Jing wasn’t too excited, and merely revealed a faint smile, Beigong Xianfeng continued, ”By the way, Brother Sikong, how was your cultivation at the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace this past month, any progress?”

After asking, Beigong Xianfeng thought to himself that Sikong Jing might have already reached the Xuanhai Realm.

”Hmm, I’ve made some progress, I’ve reached the Peak of the Xuanhai Realm,” Sikong Jing calmly replied.

However, at this moment, the room suddenly went quiet. Beigong Xianfeng and Ning Jingjing’s eyes bulged. In just one month, Sikong Jing had broken through an entire Great Realm and across ten minor realms.

This was simply, too abnormal.

But Ning Jingjing soon came to terms with it, she now knew that Sikong Jing was an even more terrifying ”War Body” than Su Yuexi.

Of course, she had promised Qin Heng and others to keep this secret for Sikong Jing and his wife, she didn’t even want to tell Beigong Xianfeng.

”Peak of the Xuanhai Realm, haha, you might already be approaching the top six hundred,” Beigong Xianfeng laughed heartily, his excitement causing his beard to flutter wildly.

However, to Sikong Jing, the ranking on the Thousand Tyrant List of East Plain was a minor matter; he wasn’t too concerned about it. Instead, he turned to ask, ”Commander, did you summon me because of the Seven Wolf Guards Ji Ming gave you?”

Ning Jingjing had already told him about this, and Sikong Jing came to see Beigong Xianfeng specifically for this matter.

At this remark, Beigong Xianfeng, who was in a good mood, immediately looked sullen.

After a while, he spoke in a low voice, ”The Seventh Prince is really too petty. He thinks he’s clever enough to win praise from others, but he doesn’t realize he lacks the magnanimity of a prince.”

After saying this, he stood up, and with Sikong Jing and Ning Jingjing, left the Central Castle.

Sometime later, they entered into a military camp near the Central Castle, opened the gate of one of the small camps, and Beigong Xianfeng then pointed inside with anger...

In an instant, Sikong Jing and Ning Jingjing were stunned.

In the small camp, a foul odor wafted through the air, and in the small plaza within the camp, there sat or stood creatures with monstrous appearances.

Some were naked, showing bodies covered in needle-like hair, some had the erect ears of demon wolves, while others were caged, emitting the frenzied roars akin to wild beasts...

There was not a single normal one among them.

After a while, Ning Jingjing retracted her gaze and asked in confusion, ”Commander, I heard that each of the Seventh Prince’s Seven Wolf Guards is exceptionally brave and valiant, possessing both the ferocity of wolves and the calm of humans, how could they be like this?”

The Seven Wolf Guards also had a considerable reputation in the Long Night Imperial City.

Without waiting for Beigong Xianfeng to answer, Sikong Jing also retracted his gaze and scoffed, ”Clearly, Ji Ming has turned the failures of those who fused with Demon Wolf Essence Blood into a lost bet to the Commander, and sent them here.”

At once, Ning Jingjing understood, no wonder Beigong Xianfeng had just said Ji Ming lacked the bearing of a prince.

Honor the wager, it’s a principle even children can understand, yet Ji Ming is trying to pawn off failures on others, which is simply despicable.

If it weren’t for his status as a prince, Beigong Xianfeng wouldn’t just let this go.

At this moment, Beigong Xianfeng looked toward Sikong Jing, sighed, and said, ”I can’t be bothered to haggle with him, sadly. The gift I initially wanted to give you was the Seven Wolf Guards, in the hope that you could train another force of Iron-blooded Elite Soldiers.”

With that, he pointed to the seven hundred creatures inside and continued, ”In fact, these beings, though failures, are still very powerful after integrating with the Demon Wolf Essence Blood; it’s just that their untamed nature makes them uncontrollable.”

”I have tried for a month, but I couldn’t induce any change in them.”

Through Beigong Xianfeng’s description, Sikong Jing now knew that Ji Ming’s Seven Wolf Guards were created by using some secret technique from the Long Night Empire’s archenemy, the War Soul Dynasty, which involved the fusion of Demon Wolf essence blood.

This secret technique, which was unintentionally obtained on the battlefield, required selecting formidable Elite Soldiers and a large number of Demon Wolves from the Xuantian Realm to collect their essence blood...

Hence, whether they’re successful products or failures, they all reached the strength of the Xuantian Five Realms.

But because the failures retained their untamed nature, they couldn’t serve as soldiers, unmanageable and always on the verge of madness or frenzy.

”It’s a pity, even I cannot control them,” lamented Beigong Xianfeng at the end.

However, at that instant, Sikong Jing suddenly took a step forward and said softly, ”I’ll give it a try.”

No sooner had he spoken than Beigong Xianfeng promptly replied, ”Brother Sikong, go ahead and try, but be extremely careful. They are all imbued with fierce wolf nature, and if you’re not careful, they could turn on you in an instant.”

He knew that Sikong Jing’s character would certainly compel him to try and control these failed Seven Wolf Guards, which is why he had brought him here.

Of course, Beigong Xianfeng didn’t actually believe that Sikong Jing could successfully take control; he simply wanted to see how he would sharpen his reactions under the attack of such wild creatures.

The secret technique of the Seven Wolf Guards was obtained from the War Soul Dynasty, and they had no shortage of similar soldiers. As the Dark Wing Commander, Sikong Jing would inevitably be headed into battle.

That’s why Beigong Xianfeng wanted him to have a taste of it beforehand.

Sikong Jing, with his back to Beigong Xianfeng, casually nodded, before slowly making his way into the encampment.

Rustle, rustle...

As he made his appearance, the half-wolf, half-human beings slowly stood up, growling threateningly at him, while those caged roared desperately, even more wildly.

Clearly, they did not welcome Sikong Jing’s arrival.

Gradually, as Sikong Jing delved deeper, he was surrounded. The eyes of the half-wolf, half-human throng turned a bright red, as if they were ready to tear Sikong Jing to pieces at the slightest movement.

From a distance, Beigong Xianfeng watched Sikong Jing, saying nothing, but very satisfied with his composure.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing spoke up, ”From today on, I am your commander. Now stand down, and line up.”

As soon as he finished speaking, there was silence all around.

And stunned, Beigong Xianfeng murmured to himself, ”Sikong Jing has acted rashly; he will be attacked any moment now.”

He had scarcely finished speaking when his True Qi began to stir subtly...

Although Sikong Jing was strong now, he couldn’t possibly win against seven hundred half-human, half-wolf beings, who would attack with a disregard for their own lives.

Nevertheless, the following scene dumbfounded Beigong Xianfeng, causing his True Qi to stall completely.

Following Sikong Jing’s command, the half-human, half-wolf creatures trembled intensely, and then the wildness in their eyes gradually dissipated, their killing intent disappearing without a trace.

Finally, they moved quickly into formation.
