Berserk God of War

Chapter 453: Chapter 453: Seeing Yan Ruyu Again

The young man wore a purple robe, radiating a commanding aura, somewhat similar to that of Ji Han.

He appeared to be about the same age but had a more refined and noble bearing.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with Ji Han, he too noticed Sikong Jing at the entrance. He said something to the refined young man beside him, who, upon hearing it, looked at Sikong Jing with keen interest.

Then, together with Ji Han, he walked over.

He stopped in front of Sikong Jing and smiled slightly, ”Are you the mysterious Dark Wing Commander of the Long Night Black Burning Army?”

Sikong Jing nodded, his face expressionless beneath the mask.

He did not know who the refined young man was, but with him standing alongside Prince Ji Han, his status must be far from low.

”You’re quite remarkable. I heard that you even defeated my little imperial uncle, Ji Han, yesterday. I hope we can exchange a few moves sometime,” the refined young man said with a light smile, ”I am called Ji Ming.”

At these words, Sikong Jing’s eyes widened slightly—Ji Ming, the Seventh Prince of the Long Night Empire.

A figure ranked in the 500s on the East Plain Thousand Dominator List and also the foremost expert among the younger generation of the Long Night Empire.

”Good,” Sikong Jing replied without any hesitation, showing no reverence for anyone from the Imperial Family of the Long Night Empire.

After being deeply hurt by the Great Shang Dynasty, Sikong Jing had already changed.

At that moment, Ji Ming smiled again and said, ”You should have heard of me. Would you mind removing your mask so I can get to know you better?”

Upon hearing this, the Dark Wing Soldiers nearby couldn’t help but glance over, their eyes filled with curiosity.

However, Sikong Jing shook his head, ”Sorry, I cannot!”

Instantly, Ji Han by his side’s expression turned angry, but before he could speak, another voice rang out from the direction of the beast chariot.

”What kind of attitude is that?”

”Do you think you are the Beigong Commander? Not only do you not kneel and pay respect upon seeing the Seventh Prince, but you also dare to defy orders?”

These admonishing questions came one after the other, and a murderous look flashed in Sikong Jing’s eyes.

How familiar that voice was, and then he saw a richly-dressed woman approaching with firm steps from the direction of the beast chariot.

Her attire was enchanting and voluptuous—it was the long-unseen... Yan Ruyu!

Previously, Yan Ruyu had whispered in Lan Zhuanghe’s ear, leading him to attack the 99th Castle where Ning Jingjing was stationed. She also conspired to have the 99th Army’s Deputy General Pan Zha betray Ning Jingjing and take Su Yuexi away for Lan Zhuanghe’s entertainment.

When her scheme was exposed, Lan Zhuanghe was executed, and Yan Ruyu, along with Yuwen Guan and others from Xia Country, fled the Long Night Black Burning Army.

At that time, being unfamiliar with his whereabouts, Sikong Jing could only issue a desertion warrant through the Black Burning Army.

Yet, he had never been able to find her, and now, to his surprise, she had reappeared in the Court Hunting Ground, and quite clearly, she had come alongside Seventh Prince Ji Ming and Prince Ji Han.

At this moment, she even dared to scold him in front of the two of them.

Before Sikong Jing could speak, Ji Ming abruptly took Yan Ruyu’s hand with a light laugh, ”My beauty, this is the Dark Wing Commander personally appointed by the Beigong Commander, holding great responsibility. He cannot be angered.”

A cold light flashed again in Sikong Jing’s eyes. Yan Ruyu really had ingratiated herself with Ji Ming—it was evident she had become the woman of the Seventh Prince?

Her methods were still as formidable as ever.

On the other side, Yan Ruyu spoke in her coyly sweet tone, ”Hm, indeed, this slave spoke out of turn. Please forgive me, Your Highness.”

Yan Ruyu had completely lost the demeanor of a Ninth Princess of the Great Shang Dynasty, acting like a lowly maid before Ji Ming. But only Sikong Jing knew she was a cunning fox in sheep’s clothing.

”Haha, it’s nothing, just a trivial matter,” Ji Ming laughed heartily, then, still holding Yan Ruyu, said to Sikong Jing, ”This place isn’t suitable for removing the mask. It was presumptuous of me. We can wait and do it at my residence later.”

Sikong Jing forcefully suppressed the intense killing intent in his eyes and made no response.

After that, Ji Ming still didn’t take notice and walked into the Court Hunting Ground with Yan Ruyu, chatting and laughing. They were obviously there to watch the fight.

Meanwhile, Ji Han glanced at Sikong Jing with a chilling gleam before finally snorting coldly and following the others.

With his back to them, the corners of Sikong Jing’s mouth under the mask twitched slightly.

As long as he knew where Yan Ruyu was, it did not matter whether she was currently the woman of the Seventh Prince of Long Night; she had to die.

Of course, for the time being, Sikong Jing did not wish to stir up unnecessary trouble. There was plenty of time for that later.

And of course, Yan Ruyu had no idea that the Dark Wing Commander before her was her archenemy, Sikong Jing.

Time slowly ticked away.

Suddenly, a large group of people came pouring majestically toward the Court Hunting Ground from the outside, each radiating starlight. It was the arrival of the Long Night Star Palace.

But when Sikong Jing got a clear look, he found that it was not only people from the Long Night Star Palace like Palace Master Yu Wenxiong, but among them were also a dozen individuals dressed in the robes of the Long Night Heavenly Dao Palace, with Wentian City’s Shui Yuyin among them.

Not only that, but there was even an elder dressed in the attire of the Holy Dragon Palace.

The people from the Three Great Academies were all mixed together, laughing and chatting, which seemed quite odd no matter how one looked at it.

They, of course, ignored Sikong Jing underneath the mask and strode into the Court Hunting Ground. At the same time, Ji Ming and Ji Han, who had just entered not long ago, also received the news and came out to greet them.

”Haha, Palace Master Yu, it’s been a long time,” greeted Ji Ming as he walked out, making a friendly remark to Palace Master Yu Wenxiong of the Xingluo Palace.

The latter also stepped forward, casually responding, ”Seventh Prince, I trust you’ve been well!”

The two seemed to recognize each other, and then Yu Wenxiong pointed to the Palace Master of the Long Night Heavenly Dao Palace standing beside him, introducing, ”This is the Palace Master of the Long Night Heavenly Dao Palace, Master Chang Wang.”

Upon hearing this, Ji Ming’s eyes brightened, and he quickly paid his respects.

As the Long Night Heavenly Dao Palace was not located in the Long Night Imperial City, Ji Ming naturally did not recognize him.

Afterward, Yu Wenxiong pointed toward the elderly man dressed in the Holy Dragon Palace attire and introduced again, ”This is Elder Feng Tingfu from the Holy Dragon General Academy.”

As soon as he said this, Ji Ming and Ji Han were both stunned; an Elder from the Holy Dragon General Academy mixed together with Yu Wenxiong?

What was going on?

”The Seventh Prince must be quite curious, hehe... all I can say is the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace is courting death.”

Yu Wenxiong smiled lightly and then looked toward a young man in their midst, saying, ”Peng Peng, since you’re quite familiar with the Seventh Prince, why don’t you explain to him how the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace is seeking its own destruction?”

The young man named Peng Peng stepped forward slowly: ”Seventh Prince, I give you my regards.”

He did not offer any grand gestures of respect to Ji Ming, but rather casually clasped his fists.

Ji Ming, no less casually, laughed heartily in response: ”Brother Peng, you’ve actually returned from the Xingluo General Academy. What’s the circumstance?”

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing’s eyes flashed with a sharp light, noting that this Peng Peng was a student at the Xingluo General Academy.

He was there to represent the Long Night Star Palace in battle, and it was obvious he was a local from the Long Night Imperial City.

Otherwise, he could not possibly be so familiar with Ji Ming.

Peng Peng smiled faintly and casually began to recount the details of the battle between the two palaces.

That is, each of the two General Academies could send three students to participate in the battle, and he would be representing the Long Night Star Palace.

After listening, Ji Ming couldn’t help but laugh: ”With Brother Peng participating, it seems the Long Night Star Palace is destined for victory. I remember you rank at number 962 on the East Plain Thousand Dominator List, right?”

Ji Ming’s statement caused a fierce gleam to again flash through Sikong Jing’s eyes; this Peng Peng turned out to be part of the East Plain Thousand Tyrant List.

”Hehe, the list was updated this month; I’ve now reached rank 936,” Peng Peng said with his head high and his chest puffed out.
