Berserk God of War

Chapter 490: Chapter 490: Nailed with One Shot

The Wind Travel Battle Dragon spread its wings low in the sky, its terrifying Dragon Power forcing the people around to constantly retreat. Then Sikong Jing slowly raised his spear, directing it straight at Peng Likui, concentrating killing intent into a single point.

At that moment, Peng Likui seemed to smell the scent of death, his pupils deeply sinking in.

”How dare you, Sikong Jing, if you dare to move again, I’ll kill your mother-in-law.”

Just at this tense moment, a cold voice rang out—it was Chi Hang from the Imperial City Guard.

He was holding Mei Xiaofang’s neck, though no one knew when he had grasped it, his eyes ominously terrifying.

”Mother...”

”Xiaofang...”

Su Zhenglong and Su Yue Immortal snapped out of their trance, screaming simultaneously, while Sikong Jing also slowly turned his head, staring fixedly at Chi Hang.

At this time, Ji Ming finally snapped out of it and coldly shouted, ”Sikong Jing, I order you to dismount the dragon immediately, then submit to our interrogation; otherwise, don’t blame us for harming your family members.”

Sikong Jing atop the Wind Travel Battle Dragon was too strong; currently, unless a master above Daoist Martial was called, nobody could stop him.

But with a hostage, it was much easier.

However, at that moment, Yan Ruyu’s cold voice spoke up, ”Chi Hang, kill the spy in your hands, don’t hesitate.”

That statement even stunned Ji Ming.

But he quickly came back to his senses. The same words as before, Sikong Jing’s family members must die now; only then could they completely infuriate him.

But the current Sikong Jing was too terrifying. What if he went mad and killed himself?

Seemingly catching Ji Ming’s concern, Yan Ruyu sneered ominously, ”Your Highness, you have the Seven Wolf Guards, no need to worry.”

Ji Ming’s whole body shook as he nodded and said coldly, ”Chi Hang, kill!”

The Seven Wolf Guards, all at the Xuantian Third Realm, were not far away; seven hundred of them mounted on their steeds were enough to kill Sikong Jing.

Upon receiving the order, Chi Hang’s killing intent surged, and without any hesitation, he tightened his grip...

The next instant, boom boom... two sounds of True Qi bursting erupted.

Both Su Zhenglong and Su Yue Immortal had somehow broken through at the same time. In that instant, they reached the Xuantian First Realm, and simultaneously struck at Chi Hang before he could react, shattering both of his arms with a fierce blow.

Immediately afterward, the two of them each held onto Mei Xiaofang, who knew no Martial Arts, and only after checking she was still breathing did they finally exhale in relief.

Fists tightly clenched, Su Zhenglong looked up and yelled, ”Ajing, let’s go.”

Although his heart was filled with extreme hatred, the current situation was very unfavorable for them. Yan Ruyu and Ji Ming were determined to kill them, and being near the Imperial City, they had no chance of winning.

They had to return to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace or the Black Burning Army first, then plan from there.

On the other side, Sikong Jing also breathed a sigh of relief but shook his head and replied, ”Father, please wait, I have someone to kill first.”

With that, Sikong Jing turned back to look at Peng Likui, as the Wind Travel Battle Dragon beneath him flew out swiftly, his spear puncturing forward.

Peng Likui’s eyes widened as he tried to block again with his entire body’s True Qi.

But... whoosh!

His body was directly lifted, the spear transforming into a world-shocking Gun Light that pierced through his chest, carrying his entire body as it crashed into the Execution Department’s building...

Sounds of crashing rang out as the building continuously collapsed, with smoke and dust billowing up.

Finally, Peng Likui was sent flying up at an angle, pinned to the high wall of the Imperial City behind the grand hall of the Execution Department by the Long Spear.

”How dare you... arggh!”

Peng Likui couldn’t finish his words; spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood, he then slumped to one side, nailed dead on the city wall.

The entire place fell into a deathly silence, staring in disbelief at Peng Likui’s lifeless body.

He was the Grand Commandant of the Execution Department, that is, the head of the judicial machinery of the Long Night Empire, the heir of the Peng Family, and a master of the Daoist Martial Fifth Realm, yet now he had been killed by Sikong Jing.

After an unknown period, a spectator shouted, ”This Martial Arts genius from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace must definitely be a spy.”

One by one, upon hearing this, they retreated frantically, screaming continuously.

But Sikong Jing paid no attention to anyone and instead turned his head to look at Ji Ming and Yan Ruyu.

At the same time, the people of the Execution Department and the Imperial Guards brought by Chi Hang surrounded Sikong Jing and the Wind Travel Battle Dragon.

Ji Ming trembled violently all over and called out desperately, ”Seven Wolf Guards, protect me!”

Whoosh...

Warriors filled with a wild nature rushed out one after another.

They rode white Demon Wolves, their armor marked with the character for seven, staring fiercely at Sikong Jing with a full-blooded ferocity.

But at that moment, Sikong Jing calmly withdrew his gaze, patted the Wind Travel Battle Dragon beneath him, and in a sweep, arrived beside Su Zhenglong and the other two. Before Sikong Jing could speak, the three of them mounted the dragon’s back without hesitation.

Su Zhenglong said somewhat awkwardly, ”Ajing, let’s leave quickly!”

Peng Likui had already been killed, and that surge of anger had been released. Now, leaving was the most crucial thing. Otherwise, Ji Ming would summon more and more experts—after all, he was the Seventh Prince.

However, Sikong Jing still shook his head, smiling, ”Father, you go first. The Wind Travel Battle Dragon will take you to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace. Yue Xi is currently on Drunk Dragon Mountain, go up and find her.”

Having said that, Sikong Jing gently leapt and landed on the ground.

Suddenly, Su Zhenglong and the others were stunned. Why wouldn’t Sikong Jing leave at such a time?

”Don’t worry, I won’t be in any trouble.”

Sikong Jing knew Su Zhenglong and the others were nervous and continued, ”Anyone who dares to oppress my family, even attempting to kill my family, must pay a heavy price.”

”A minister from the Execution Department is far from enough.”

Saying so, he looked again towards Ji Ming and Yan Ruyu...

Finally, Sikong Jing gave Su Zhenglong no more chance to persuade him; he waved his hand, and with a cry from the Wind Travel Battle Dragon, it soared high with the three of them, disappearing in the direction of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace in the blink of an eye.

In front of the Execution Department’s main hall, Sikong Jing’s face was filled with coldness, still surrounded by people.

Only now, his mount was gone, and he was alone.

Across him, inside the protective circle of the Seven Wolf Guards, Ji Ming said to Yan Ruyu, ”It’s strange. Why would Sikong Jing send away the Wind Travel Battle Dragon and stay here alone? Does he have a backup plan?”

Upon hearing this, Yan Ruyu ground her teeth in anger, ”He is a genius of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace. He must reckon we wouldn’t dare to kill him.”

As soon as these words fell, Ji Ming understood.

Even though they had set up so much, they still didn’t quite dare to kill Sikong Jing outright, unless they could definitely prove he was a spy, and then with an Emperor’s Order, they could dare to kill him.

Otherwise, the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace would mobilize in full force and show no mercy.

They just attempted to execute Su Zhenglong and the others for this exact reason—to frustrate Sikong Jing into a frenzy, inducing him to personally admit he was a spy.

But now, with Su Zhenglong and the others gone, their plan had failed.

Thinking this, Ji Ming said anxiously, ”Beigong Xianfeng and my father Emperor could be coming any moment, what should we do?”

Even if they captured Sikong Jing now, as long as he didn’t confess to being a spy, this issue would be difficult to handle.

”It’s okay, Your Highness. Challenge him now, then kill him.”

Yan Ruyu suddenly spoke with an icy tone, ”If it’s a challenge between the younger generation, even if he is killed, the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace can’t say much in anger. And since Sikong Jing is on the verge of rage, he will naturally not refuse your challenge.”

After saying this, Yan Ruyu’s eyes flashed frostily.

Currently, Ji Ming’s Martial Arts were still above Sikong Jing’s—a life-or-death challenge would be the perfect opportunity for murder.
