Berserk God of War

Chapter 494: Chapter 494: Wangyou Sect, Arriving at Holy Dragon Palace

In an instant, Huang Yu froze, the Imperial Guards froze, and everyone stopped their actions.

”Sikong Jing, you, you... put down the Seventh Prince.”

Huang Yu finally came to his senses and charged towards Sikong Jing, but stopped in front of Sikong Jing, because the cold sneer on Sikong Jing’s face made him tremble all over, fearing that if he rushed forward, the Seventh Prince would surely die.

Sikong Jing was not afraid to kill a prince at all.

The whole scene fell silent, everyone stared blankly at Sikong Jing, who was lifting Ji Ming with his spear, their faces changing unpredictably.

And at that moment, the 66th Army retreated rapidly, falling back behind Sikong Jing, their cold laughter echoing.

”Commander Huang, do you still want me to retreat?”

”The justice I seek comes after the traitors have paid the price.”

Sikong Jing’s voice was not loud, yet it eerily resounded throughout the entire place, making everyone’s heart tremble with fear.

Swish, swish, swish...

At that moment, various strong figures hidden inside and outside the Imperial City flashed down, still wary of Sikong Jing’s status and not wanting to get involved in this mess...

But now, with Ji Ming’s life in danger, they had to appear.

At that time, a man in his thirties wearing a purple robe landed, smiled, and said, ”Junior Brother Sikong, I am Ji Tan, the Eldest Prince of the Long Night Empire. Let’s discuss any grievances after you put down my younger brother, the Seventh. I promise to give you justice.”

Sikong Jing was somewhat surprised by the arrival of another prince.

But he soon shrugged his shoulders, squinting his eyes at Eldest Prince Ji Tan and slowly said, ”The Beigong Commander should be arriving soon. After that, it’s not too late to discuss justice with me.”

Now Sikong Jing did not want to waste words; there was nothing to discuss with these people.

Whether it was Huang Yu or the Eldest Prince, or any other high-ranking figures from the Long Night Empire like the princes, it did not matter to him. Now that he had Ji Ming in hand, everything was under his control, just waiting for Beigong Xianfeng to arrive.

He was curious to see how the Long Night Emperor would deal with Ji Ming then.

He was not killing Ji Ming now out of respect for Beigong Xianfeng and to avoid further trouble with the Holy Dragon Palace, but if the Long Night Emperor’s handling of Ji Ming was not satisfactory...

Then, sorry, he would handle it himself.

The whole scene fell deathly silent, with many sharp arrows on the Imperial City walls aimed at Sikong Jing.

Beneath the Imperial city, the Eldest Prince and Huang Yu among others watched Sikong Jing with varying expressions, now genuinely only able to wait for Beigong Xianfeng’s arrival.

”Awooo...”

And just at this extraordinarily tense moment, a long cry suddenly echoed from the direction of the Holy Dragon Palace; Wind Travel Battle Dragon had returned, but the figures on it were no longer Su Zhenglong and the two others, but instead Lang Yisuo.

At this moment, Lang Yisuo appeared with a face full of urgency...

”Junior Brother Sikong, something terrible has happened.”

”Wangyou Sect Master Mo Ci suddenly arrived at the Holy Dragon Palace and specifically said he wanted to see you, threatening to slaughter everyone in the Holy Dragon Palace if he couldn’t meet you.”

At this voice, Sikong Jing was utterly shocked.

His mind immediately went to the East Plain Thousand Dominator List. His name was still visible, but had his sister, Sikong Ling, seen it? In an instant, Sikong Jing’s mind became cluttered.

When it involved his sister, it was difficult for him to remain calm.

In a blink, Wind Travel Battle Dragon appeared above Sikong Jing, and Lang Yisuo urgently added, ”When I arrived, Vice Palace Master Qin had already been injured by Mo Ci. Junior Brother Sikong, what should we do now?”

Sikong Jing’s gaze landed on Ji Ming, who was on his spear, then swept towards the people around him.

Boom...

Suddenly, Sikong Jing flung his spear, hurling Ji Ming along with the spear fiercely towards the direction of the city wall, and then shouted to the surrounding Absolute Night Wolf Guards and the 66th Army, ”Everyone, follow me to the Holy Dragon Palace.”

Turning his horse’s head, Sikong Jing led the Absolute Night Wolf Guards and the 66th Army and charged frantically towards the Holy Dragon Palace.

No one in the crowd, regardless of who they were, tried to stop their departure; they stared dazedly in the direction Sikong Jing had left.

The Wangyou Sect Master actually demanded to see Sikong Jing and threatened to slaughter the palace if he couldn’t meet him?

What’s going on, where did Sikong Jing offend the Wangyou Sect again?

”Ha, hahaha...”

Suddenly, Ji Ming, nailed to the city wall, couldn’t contain his laughter, crying out, ”Heaven helps me too, the Wangyou Sect demanding to see Sikong Jing and even threatening to slaughter the palace; he’s surely doomed.”

As Ji Ming’s voice rang out, everyone slowly looked in his direction.

With a slight twitch of his face, Huang Yu hurriedly ordered, ”Someone, quickly rescue the Seventh Prince.”

However, just as everyone rushed towards Ji Ming, an old figure suddenly descended, blocking all rescuers and then swept his gaze across the crowd, dumbfoundedly asking, ”What has happened here?”

The old man was none other than Beigong Xianfeng, who had just spoken a few words with the Long Night Emperor when the Emperor received a report.

It said Sikong Jing was causing a ruckus in the Execution Department, which startled him and made him rush out immediately.

But the Imperial City was vast, and by the time he arrived, Sikong Jing had already left, leaving only two people nailed to the city wall.

Or rather, one corpse and one person, Peng Likui and Ji Ming.

Just then, Huang Yu coldly glared at Beigong Xianfeng and snorted, ”Commander Beigong, don’t you think you’ve gone too far? Were you aware of what your 66th Army did just now?”

The crowd then began to talk all at once about the recent events, naturally glossing over and trivializing how Sikong Jing had behaved.

They portrayed Sikong Jing and the 66th Army as utterly despicable.

Meanwhile, the onlookers explicitly accused Sikong Jing of being a spy...

The more Beigong Xianfeng listened, the colder his heart grew, though the crowd spoke ill of Sikong Jing, he knew well that Sikong Jing’s father-in-law and mother-in-law were nearly beheaded, and it was a stroke of luck that Sikong Jing had appeared just in time.

Eventually, the situation escalated further.

And what chilled him was... if Sikong Jing hadn’t arrived in time, if his in-laws had been killed, then given Sikong Jing’s character, he might have directly turned against the Long Night Empire.

Although Sikong Jing could be considered a member of the Long Night Empire, having been born in the Canglong Small Domain, he felt no allegiance to the Empire.

A genius commander like him, a talented Martial Artist, and accompanied by a terrifying human-shaped monster...

If he turned, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Thinking back to the previous city-wide demon beast uprising, Beigong Xianfeng was still trembling with fear.

”Commander Beigong, get me down now.” At this moment, Ji Ming, still nailed to the wall, cried out frantically.

Slap!

What greeted him was Commander Beigong’s cold face and a heavy slap.

In front of everyone, Commander Beigong did not hesitate to slap the Seventh Prince, his voice hoarse as he said, ”Spy, a fine spy... I will investigate thoroughly.”

”If I find evidence that you were framing him, I will annihilate you.”

The extremely frustrated Commander Beigong spoke without holding back.

Beheading Sikong Jing’s in-laws was essentially forcing him to leave the Long Night Empire, Ji Ming was pushing Sikong Jing outwards.

How could Commander Beigong not be furious?

Then, he fiercely turned towards those dozen or so real spies and lunged at them without a word.

These people were the very root of the evidence.

But just at that moment, a sinister female voice rang out, ”If you still want your family to live, kill yourself now!”

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man trembled violently.

And before Commander Beigong could reach him, he immediately severed his own meridians and died.
