Berserk God of War

Chapter 489: Chapter 489: I Am the Madman

Ji Ming heard this and clenched his fists tightly; Beigong Xianfeng was too quick, catching him somewhat off guard.

Now, he was undecided about how to respond.

Suddenly, Yan Ruyu raised her head, her eyes revealing an extremely venomous look.

”Your Highness, although our arrangements are meticulous, there are still some loopholes that can easily backfire on us.”

”And whether or not to charge Sikong Jing is up to His Majesty alone.”

Ji Ming nodded in understanding. If the emperor decided to reopen the case, he could likely find traces of evidence, and a counterattack would seal their fate.

This was his greatest concern, yet Yan Ruyu continued to speak.

”Now, we must kill Su Zhenglong and the other two. Once we do, Sikong Jing will go mad with rage. Even if he isn’t a spy, he will become one for the sake of his father-in-law and mother-in-law...”

”I know Sikong Jing too well. As soon as Su Zhenglong and the others are dead, he will fall into the trap.”

”Then, even with the face of Beigong Xianfeng, His Majesty will definitely not spare Sikong Jing, otherwise, it’ll be hard to stop public outrage.”

After saying this, Yan Ruyu’s eyes were filled with a brutal ferocity.

Once Su Zhenglong and the others are dead, Sikong Jing would have no way out; given his character, he would definitely kill and would not rest until he had Ji Ming’s head.

By that time, they could find a way to prove Sikong Jing was a spy.

”Also, we must eliminate that fat spy immediately and give them no chance to investigate.” Thinking of this, Yan Ruyu whispered again into Ji Ming’s ear.

The latter’s eyes flashed coldly, and he nodded in acknowledgment.

Thus, Ji Ming slowly raised his head and addressed everyone around him, ”I must definitely visit the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, but these spies are so despicable... Lord Peng, chop them all down right now.”

Upon hearing this, the faces of Su Zhenglong and the other two turned pale, and their bodies trembled uncontrollably.

Could it be that they were about to be chopped down, never to see Yue Xi and Ajing again?

Nobody cared about Su Zhenglong’s feelings; to them, he and the other two were mere ants, tools to be used against Sikong Jing.

Peng Likui nodded emphatically to Ji Ming, bellowing, ”Bring forth the people, and behead all these spies...”

Instantly, several executioners raised their large chopping blades.

As they were about to bring them down heavily on Su Zhenglong and the dozen or so alleged spies,

”Blood Devouring, Frenzy Shadow Claw!”

Just as the blades were about to fall, a deep voice descended from the sky.

A massive black claw seemed to turn the sky to darkness, fiercely crashing into the execution ground and piercing through the heads of several executioners.

Thump, thump, thump...

One after another, the large chopping blades hit the ground, creating loud clanging sounds.

Everyone at the scene, regardless of who they were, was stunned.

Everyone looked towards the sky, then Ji Ming and Yan Ruyu’s eyes contracted sharply as they growled, ”Sikong, Jing!”

It was indeed the Daoist Martial Fifth Realm’s Wind Travel Battle Dragon.

And Sikong Jing was now standing high atop the dragon, his gaze cold to the extreme. Worrying about the safety of Su Zhenglong and the others, he had quickly summoned the Wind Travel Battle Dragon after leaving the Long Night Black Burning Army.

Fortunately, he was not too late.

”Ajing...”

Su Zhenglong and the others couldn’t stop trembling; they had just thought they were about to be beheaded.

The next moment, Peng Likui snapped to attention, shouting furiously, ”Audacious villain, daring to disrupt the execution ground. This is a public trial of spies from the War Soul Dynasty, anyone who disrupts it commits the crime of treason.”

”Come, seize the audacious villain above,” Peng Likui commanded loudly to the Execution Department’s experts.

Swish, swish, swish...

One after another, the experts from the Execution Department leapt forth, mounting their steeds and charging towards Sikong Jing.

At the same time, a sinister glint flashed in Yan Ruyu’s eyes, ”I didn’t expect Sikong Jing to arrive so quickly. However, it’s within our prediction. He indeed came alone, so let’s directly pin the crime on him and take him down.”

In response, Ji Ming nodded and said proudly, ”My beauty, wasn’t this prince thoughtful?”

”To lure Sikong Jing here alone to save someone, we had to ensure he wasn’t at the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace. Hehe, if he’s in the Long Night Black Burning Camp, then he can only come alone.”

All of this was arranged and anticipated by them.

If Sikong Jing had been in the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace when this trap was set, he might have brought a host of experts from the palace with him. But being in the Long Night Black Burning Army meant he could only come alone.

This would become the best opportunity to take him down or even to kill him...

And this plan was thought of by Ji Ming; he had previously said to delay until three days later.

”Giggle, the Seventh Prince must be far superior to me,” Yan Ruyu quickly praised.

But in her heart, she sneered repeatedly. If it weren’t for my arrangements, you would just be a good-for-nothing.

However, she naturally wouldn’t care about these details now as she coldly stared up at Sikong Jing.

”Now, let’s see how you struggle out of the palm of my hand. Even if your Martial Arts are genius, you’re still just a young junior.”

”Taking you down will be easy.”

No sooner had the words left her mouth... Ah!

A scream suddenly arose from the air, followed by a horrifying scene before everyone’s eyes, Sikong Jing was seen standing on the back of the Wind Travel Battle Dragon with his long spear, its shadow flying rapidly.

Any Execution Department expert who came near him was instantly impaled, both person and mount.

Screams and wild howls filled the heavens, and suddenly it started raining from above, a rain of blood... Bang, bang, bang, each of the slain Execution Department experts, along with their mounts, fell to the ground, then fell silent!

Death, death, each and every one was slain by Sikong Jing.

Ji Ming’s face, originally pleased, suddenly turned livid, and he roared quietly, ”His mount is the Wind Travel Battle Dragon, existing at the Daoist Martial Fifth Realm, damn it!”

Sikong Jing was indeed a young man, just at the Peak of Xuantian Realm.

But his mount was at the Daoist Martial Fifth Realm, which in the Long Night Empire, was already considered a top-notch expert.

In the Long Night Empire, excluding the Wangyou Sect, those surpassing the Martial Realm were very few...

The situation was not as they had initially guessed, it wasn’t easy at all to take down Sikong Jing.

”Rebellious scoundrel, dare you kill my Execution Department’s men, are you trying to rebel?” Peng Likui’s eyes blazed with rage as he hated Sikong Jing for killing Peng Peng, the hope of the Peng Family, and as the Grand Commandant of the Execution Department, he now lost all face.

At that moment, Sikong Jing slowly retracted his spear, staring coldly at Peng Likui.

”A scoundrel, am I? Today I will show you just how ’rebellious’ I can be.” With killing intent swirling around Sikong Jing, he patted the Wind Travel Battle Dragon beneath him and unleashed a fierce wind towards Peng Likui. His spear, like a terrifying Divine Dragon, charged forward.

”Protect Lord Peng!” the experts from the Execution Department shouted frantically.

Puf, puf, puf...

However, as the group of Execution Department experts shielded Peng Likui, they were penetrated by the sparkling spear light, and the spear, powered by the demonic power of the Wind Travel Battle Dragon, slaughtered them all, advancing towards Peng Likui.

Peng Likui’s face drastically changed, but being a Daoist Martial Fifth Realm expert himself, he burst out with all his True Qi.

Boom!

With a loud explosion, Peng Likui screamed as he was sent flying backward.

Even though he was also at the Daoist Martial Fifth Realm, he couldn’t withstand the terrifying power of Sikong Jing and the Wind Travel Battle Dragon.

He was harshly slammed against the wall of the Execution Department, where he coughed up blood and slid down.

Without any change in his expression, Sikong Jing’s voice hoarsely addressed Peng Likui, ”It was you who gave the order to kill my father-in-law and mother-in-law, so... you are dead!”
