Chapter 401: Chapter 401: Qin Heng’s Demon Dragon Mount

Slap, slap...

Without uttering a second word, Yu Yan charged forward and fiercely slapped Lu Fenglan across the face several times.

After that, she said to Sikong Jing, ”Junior Brother Sikong, this woman is a student from Wind Dragon Mountain, and her father is an instructor. To avoid future troubles, let’s spare her life for now and hand her over to the Institute Master for disposition, shall we?”

Sikong Jing naturally agreed to this decision indifferently.

Then, Yu Yan anxiously turned to Master Shi and asked, ”Where is the Institute Master right now? Vice Palace Master Qin might be in danger.”

Upon hearing this, Master Shi said, ”Right now, I will take you to see the Institute Master...”

And so, Master Shi took Sikong Jing and Yu Yan in haste to meet Huo Yanmei, who was in the main hall of the Fire Dragon Mountain Inner Court.

At this moment, the entire Fire Dragon Mountain Inner Court had just finished its reorganization.

All those who had pledged allegiance to Lei Hongteng were bound in the center of the hall, including Liu Shan, of course.

One by one, their faces were ashen, unable to believe what had happened.

Some were screaming incessantly, claiming that if Huo Yanmei didn’t side with Lei Hongteng, she was doomed to die without a doubt.

But Huo Yanmei, with her face etched with coldness, didn’t even bother with them.

At the same time, Lu Fenglan, who had been bound and brought in, fell to the ground with a plop, realizing that what Sikong Jing and Master Shi had said was true.

Huo Yanmei sat aloft at the head of the main hall, surrounded by loyal instructors and elders, and of course, several Inner Palace students from Fire Dragon Mountain, each still showing signs of lingering fear.

No one had expected Lei Hongteng’s actions to be so terrifying that even the Institute Master had nearly perished.

The purge carried out by the Institute Master herself was equally terrifying to the extreme...

But even though Fire Dragon Mountain had already been purged, everyone still felt that the tides of power within Holy Dragon Palace were constantly shifting.

Following that, something even more terrible might happen.

It was then that Huo Yanmei, upon seeing Sikong Jing and the other two enter, finally broke the silence and said coldly, ”Take Liu Shan and the others away for imprisonment, then seal off the entire Fire Dragon Mountain, and dismiss the meeting!”

Hearing this, everyone nodded gravely and scattered with a thunderous clamor.

In an instant, only Huo Yanmei, Yu Yan, Master Shi, and Sikong Jing remained in the hall.

Huo Yanmei looked at Sikong Jing a few more times before smiling and saying, ”Yu Yan, please introduce to me this Brother Sikong.”

Dazed for a moment, Yu Yan had already briefly heard from Master Shi about Sikong Jing on their way over.

She learned that Sikong Jing indeed took action against Fire Dragon Mountain, directly bursting through the Fire Dragon Mountain outer court and then used the pretext of joining Fire Dragon Mountain to meet the Institute Master.

Eventually, he even used the miraculous ”fast-acting medicine” to heal the Institute Master’s serious injuries.

It could be said that Sikong Jing single-handedly resolved the crisis at Fire Dragon Mountain, even saving the Institute Master’s life.

However, even Master Shi and Huo Yanmei only knew that Sikong Jing had been pursued by the students from Xingluo Palace, knew that he had created the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon, and offended Lei Zizhen to death.

As for other details about Sikong Jing, they were completely in the dark, never having heard anything before.

With this in mind, Yu Yan nodded gently and introduced in a soft voice, ”Junior Brother Sikong was taken in by Drunk Dragon Mountain Master Tan Yue three months ago, and he is now a Level 1 apprentice in the Apprentice School Region.”

Her introduction ended there, and she didn’t know how to explain any further.

The fact that Sikong Jing could create Beast Skills was something Vice Palace Master Qin Heng had instructed must be kept absolutely confidential, and only she and Master Wen Hu were privy to it; this wasn’t even something she could disclose to the Institute Master.

No sooner had she finished speaking, Huo Yanmei and Master Shi both paused for a moment, then asked in return, ”Is that all?”

It seemed too simple to them.

Putting aside Sikong Jing’s terrifying combat abilities for now, just his success in challenging Fire Dragon Mountain Road meant it definitely shouldn’t be this simple.

Moreover, there were still the issues of the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon and the major incident of being hunted by the two Chiefs of Xingluo Palace.

Yu Yan helplessly nodded her head, then hesitated before adding, ”However, Vice Palace Master Qin Heng places great importance on Junior Brother Sikong. It’s just that all of you went to fight a major battle at Xingluo Palace, which is why Junior Brother Sikong is still just a Little Apprentice.”

In the end, that was all Yu Yan could say.

At that moment, Huo Yanmei finally felt that this was more reasonable. Had it not been for the absence of their high-level members for three months, Sikong Jing would certainly not be just a Little Apprentice by now. He would have already made a big name for himself.

At this time, Sikong Jing chuckled and said, ”Master Huo, there’s no need to talk about me. It’s crucial to figure out how to deal with Lei Hongteng.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Yanmei’s expression turned uglier.

”Right now, Vice Palace Master Qin Heng is certainly under Lei Hongteng’s surveillance. Moreover, I am very aware of his injuries—they are much more severe than mine.”

”He could even be in danger of losing his life.”

To strike back at Lei Hongteng, the life and death of Qin Heng was highly significant. Otherwise, relying solely on Fire Dragon Mountain would definitely not be sufficient.

Sikong Jing also frowned and spoke softly, ”There are only two simple methods at the moment.”

”Either Palace Master Shen must return immediately, or Vice Palace Master Qin’s injuries must heal so he can settle everything.”

Upon hearing this, both Master Shi and Yu Yan immediately looked towards Huo Yanmei, wondering if she could contact Palace Master Shen.

With a bitter smile, Huo Yanmei said, ”There’s no use in thinking about the Palace Master.”

”She had a disagreement with Tan Yue, and both of them stubbornly said they wanted to challenge a terrifying forbidden area. It’s impossible to contact them.”

As her words fell, Sikong Jing was momentarily dumbfounded. Could it be that Palace Master Shen and Tan Yue had not returned just because of a petty quarrel?

These two, damn it, were they not being incredibly irresponsible?

”If either of them were in the palace, Lei Hongteng wouldn’t dare to be so reckless. Unfortunately, neither of them is reliable.”

”Especially Tan Yue, that damn man.”

In the end, Huo Yanmei couldn’t help but curse a few times.

Feeling somewhat targeted, Sikong Jing twitched the corner of his mouth.

”Then there’s only one method left. We need to find a way to see Vice Palace Master Qin and at least allow him to regain some strength,” Sikong Jing added.

The three of them fell silent. With Qin Heng under surveillance, it wasn’t as simple as just seeing him.

After pondering for a moment, Sikong Jing continued, ”I have a way, but this method requires us to find Vice Palace Master Qin’s Demon Dragon steed.”

As soon as he said this, the three people in the hall were stunned. Master Shi couldn’t help but ask, ”That might be impossible, right? Vice Palace Master Qin’s steed must also be under surveillance. Wouldn’t you be very noticeable if you rode it?”

Huo Yanmei and Yu Yan also nodded their heads, finding the idea unreliable.

”I can hide within the belly of the Demon Dragon steed, where they won’t be able to monitor me,”

Sikong Jing quickly explained, understanding what they were worried about.

In an instant, all three exchanged puzzled looks. How could it possibly be done?

Why would a Demon Dragon allow someone to hide in its belly?

Such a threat to its life, even for its trusted master, would be very difficult to achieve.

”Trust me, I can do it for certain,”

Sikong Jing assured them emphatically and stressed, ”Don’t forget, I was even able to bring forth the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon.”

Immediately, Huo Yanmei and Master Shi exchanged glances, half-believing and half-doubting.

The former then said, ”As long as you can hide in the belly of the Demon Dragon steed, summoning it will not be an issue.”

As Fire Dragon Mountain Master, calling forth Qin Heng’s Demon Dragon steed wouldn’t be a difficult task.

Master Shi whispered, ”Then what’s left now is, how we can heal Vice Palace Master Qin’s injuries.”
