Chapter 408: Chapter 408: Ascend the Life and Death Platform for a Decisive Battle to the Death

Hmm?

Everyone was startled. What was Sikong’s Apprentice up to now?

The next moment, Sikong Jing called out to the distance, ”The people of Dark Dragon Mountain, it’s time to come out.”

As soon as he spoke, the people around were dumbfounded. Dark Dragon Mountain?

Before they could react, a sinister presence suddenly appeared, and figures in black robes flashed out, quickly gathering beside Qin Heng, with a white-haired elder at the forefront.

He was none other than Master Wu Ding of Dark Dragon Mountain.

”Lei Hongteng, it’s time for you to stop,” Wu Ding uttered in a hoarse voice, devoid of joy or sorrow, as he appeared.

All at once, Lei Hongteng’s face changed dramatically, staring at Wu Ding he shouted, ”You promised me, you would remain neutral!”

Shrugging his shoulders, Wu Ding pointed to Sikong Jing and replied, ”The little apprentice said he could hand the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon over to us at Dark Dragon Mountain for research, so of course, we can’t remain neutral anymore.”

Indeed, the reason Dark Dragon Mountain had shown up was that Sikong Jing had sent a message to Yisuo while Qin Heng was playing dead. He told him to immediately find the Institute Master of Dark Dragon Mountain and promised that if they intervened, the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon would be handed over for their research.

He even told them the true origin of the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon.

With this revelation, Lei Hongteng turned to look at Sikong Jing and with an earth-shattering roar yelled, ”It’s you again, damn it, it’s you again!”

Lei Hongteng felt he was going crazy, as he had actually been brought down by a mere apprentice.

Wearing an indifferent smile, Sikong Jing said, ”Yes, it’s still me.”

”Lei Hongteng, your biggest failure was having a good son who insisted on messing with me.”

”So, you’re just out of luck,” Sikong Jing squinted his eyes and pointed at Lei Zizhen as he spoke.

The entire audience, from every side, was left speechless. No one had anticipated that a little apprentice could influence the Holy Dragon Palace so greatly.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing turned to look at the Institute Master of Cloud Dragon Mountain, asking nonchalantly, ”Master Yun, do you still intend to stay neutral now? Or perhaps, do you still support Lei Hongteng as the Vice Palace Master?”

Master Yun’s heart trembled, and he promptly ordered, ”People of Cloud Dragon Mountain, listen! Lei Hongteng lacks the spirit of the Holy Dragon. He must be executed!”

Buzz!

As his words echoed, the minds of those who had sided with Lei Hongteng thundered. Their faces turned ashen; they knew their defeat was sealed!

Qin Heng now had the support of Golden Dragon Mountain, Dark Dragon Mountain, Fire Dragon Mountain, and Cloud Dragon Mountain.

Lei Hongteng was left with only his own Thunder Dragon Mountain and Wind Dragon Mountain, as well as some elders from various mountains who had been bribed, but now they were all trembling, void of any battle intent.

At this time, Qin Heng reiterated his point, ”Apart from Thunder Dragon Mountain, the rest may stand down. Bygones will be bygones!”

Upon hearing this, one by one, the elders from the different mountains bowed their heads, silently withdrawing their True Qi, and left the side of Thunder Dragon Mountain.

In the blink of an eye, only Thunder Dragon Mountain and Wind Dragon Mountain remained.

”I’m sorry, Master Lei!”

Then, the Institute Master of Wind Dragon Mountain also bowed his head and silently walked away from Lei Hongteng’s side.

Although Wind Dragon Mountain would probably be punished or face some difficulties for withdrawing, it was better than being wiped out by Qin Heng.

Suddenly, Thunder Dragon Mountain found itself completely isolated.

Sitting on the ground one by one, only Lei Hongteng and his brothers, as well as Lei Zizhen who was still standing, remained. They looked frantically at those who were leaving, roaring and howling at them in anger.

The next moment, following Qin Heng’s command, the leaders of the major mountains struck out thunderously with their elders.

Instantly, Lei Hongteng and all his supporters were slammed to the ground, coughing up blood profusely.

Lei Hongteng and his brothers were severely injured, and Lei Zizhen’s face turned deathly pale.

But just at that moment, Lei Zizhen suddenly raised his head furiously shouting, ”Dad, even though we’ve lost, I must take down that Sikong’s Apprentice, I can kill him...”

Upon saying this, Lei Zizhen fiercely turned to look at Sikong Jing and sneered angrily, ”Sikong’s Apprentice, you should already know that Baili Que is gravely injured and nearly dead, right? Now, do you want to know her whereabouts?”

At these words, Sikong Jing’s entire body shuddered slightly.

At the same time, Wu Ding of Dark Dragon Mountain flashed a cold light in his eyes, took a heavy step forward, and demanded, ”Baili Que, what happened to her?”

Formidable and dark True Qi pressed towards Lei Zizhen.

Wu Ding had only returned to the Holy Dragon Palace a few days ago, and upon his arrival, he had not seen Baili Que. The people of Dark Dragon Mountain said that she had left the Holy Dragon Palace a month ago, and it was unknown where she had gone.

Now, the words of Lei Zizhen had filled Wu Ding with worry—Baili Que was, after all, the Chief of Dark Dragon Mountain.

”Baili Que, she was severely injured by the people of Long Night Heavenly Dao Palace, and right now she is being sent back on her way by the people of Heavenly Dao Palace.”

”But as soon as the people of Heavenly Dao Palace know I am dead, Baili Que’s death will be certain.”

The spirits of everyone present were greatly shaken, staring intently at Lei Zizhen.

Baili Que had actually been severely injured by Long Night Heavenly Dao Palace, but why would Heavenly Dao Palace want to kill Baili Que if Lei Zizhen died?

While everyone was puzzled, Lei Zizhen suddenly shot a stream of True Qi into the sky.

The next moment, a Demon Dragon from the direction of Thunder Dragon Mountain soared into the sky, letting out a long cry.

After that, Lei Zizhen laughed wickedly.

”Alright, now my signal has been sent out, and soon someone will pass the message.”

”My situation will soon be known by Heavenly Dao Palace.”

At this point, Lei Zizhen’s gaze towards Sikong Jing was incredibly sinister.

Currently, the critical paths throughout the Holy Dragon Palace were still under their control; it was too easy for the people of Thunder Dragon Mountain to send out a notice.

”Do you know why Baili Que could have a clash with Heavenly Dao Palace and still be sent back alive?”

”Because I am good friends with Lang Yizhan of Wanbao Pavilion, who is also an Inner Palace Student at the Heavenly Dao General Academy.”

”I don’t want Baili Que to die; I want to play with her...”

”But if I die, of course the Heavenly Dao Palace won’t send Baili Que back.”

Having said this, he fiercely turned to look at Wu Ding from Dark Dragon Mountain: ”I know you won’t help my father for the sake of a mere apprentice, but given the chance, you surely won’t want Baili Que to die either, right?”

Wu Ding’s eyes were filled with a deep gloom as he stepped towards Lei Zizhen...

”Don’t come any closer, or I will kill myself,” Lei Zizhen screamed frantically.

Lei Hongteng also erupted with True Qi, pressing it onto Lei Zizhen as he glared back with fury: ”Wu Ding, roll back!”

The implication was clear: if Wu Ding dared to make a move, he would kill Lei Zizhen.

Seeing this, Wu Ding had no choice but to temporarily halt his steps, his eyes flickering coldly as he pondered.

At that moment, Sikong Jing stepped forward, staring at Lei Zizhen, and asked, ”What do you want to do? Want us to let you leave?”

”No...”

Lei Zizhen vehemently denied, ”I want to fight you on the Life and Death Platform of the Holy Dragon Palace, in a duel to the death!”

”Regardless of win or lose, I will send out a second signal indicating safety.”

”Also, if I win, you must let all people of the Lei Family leave the Holy Dragon Palace when Baili Que returns.”

As soon as these words came out, everyone’s eyes widened in shock—it was the Life and Death Platform.

Suddenly, Wen Hu leapt out and shouted, ”Lei Zizhen, do you have no shame, challenging an apprentice?”

No matter what, Sikong Jing couldn’t possibly win. Even though he had successfully challenged the four mountain paths, he was still only at the Innate Martial Sect Realm, how could he possibly defeat Lei Zizhen, the Chief of Thunder Dragon Mountain?

Even with Lei Zizhen now only having one arm, it seemed impossible.
