Berserk God of War

Chapter 407: Chapter 407: It’s All You, Sikong’s Little Apprentice

Intense killing intent rolled in, pressing down entirely upon Sikong Jing.

However, Lei Hongteng and others soon withdrew their murderous auras, as Qin Heng was still alive, complicating matters immensely.

”Right, while I was playing chess just now, I seemed to hear someone mention a Deputy Palace Master Lei?”

”When did our Long Night Saint Dragon Palace have a Deputy Palace Master Lei?”

As he spoke, Qin Heng’s gaze gently shifted to Lei Hongteng, his eyes narrowing into slits.

Suddenly, the killing intent burst forth!

Lei Hongteng shuddered all over and slowly stood up.

At that moment, he had two thoughts.

The first was to leave and bide his time... The second was to kill, to take Qin Heng down right there and then, as he leaned more towards the latter, certain that Qin Heng, despite having survived, could not have fully recovered his strength.

Lei Hongteng was very aware that Qin Heng had been severely injured before and would definitely be weak after days of being confined.

His current calm was surely feigned.

But killing Qin Heng had a downside, namely that he could no longer pretend to be the good guy, as Palace Master Shen Qingye would definitely settle scores upon her return.

”Institute Master Lei, could it be that you are the Deputy Palace Master Lei?”

Suddenly, Qin Heng’s murderous intent materialized and struck out.

Immediately after, he disappeared from the spot before Lei Hongteng could react, with a crisp ”snap.”

Lei Hongteng was fiercely slapped away.

He landed with a crash, unbelievably clutching his face, questioning how Qin Heng’s strength could be so formidable.

Impossible, the injury he had when he returned a few days ago couldn’t have been faked.

Boom!

Just as Lei Hongteng was slapped away, Lei Hongzha and others from Thunder Dragon Mountain burst forth with their True Qi, shielding Lei Hongteng, quickly followed by the Cloud Dragon Mountain Master, who flashed violently, gathering the experts of Wind Dragon Mountain around Lei Hongteng.

Finally, various elders who had sided with Lei Hongteng also erupted with intense energy.

They all knew, Qin Heng’s counterattack had begun.

Qin Heng had no intention of appeasing anyone; his slap was a declaration of outright war.

At this moment, Lei Hongteng slowly stood up, tenderly touching his burning face, his expression cold.

He stepped forward out of the crowd, staring directly at Qin Heng and said, ”Qin Heng... that’s right, I am Deputy Palace Master Lei, starting today I am the Vice Palace Master, and you were supposed to be dead.”

”So what if you are alive now, what if you have recovered, I have more people than you.”

With that, he pointed towards Qin Lao and others who were subdued on the ground and with raised eyebrows added, ”Your son is in my hands, and all your people too, what do you have to fight me with... Tell me, what do you have?”

Since the facade had been shattered, it was time to be blunt.

Only by killing Qin Heng could he see a way out, he couldn’t care less whether Shen Qingye would return.

At most, he could find a way to have the Holy Dragon General Academy intervene later, as long as he conquered the entire Holy Dragon Palace, her return would be irrelevant, as she surely wouldn’t dare to destroy the entire Holy Dragon Palace.

Thinking this, Lei Hongteng grew increasingly hostile and angrily said, ”Master Yun, whose side do you plan to stand on?”

As his words fell, Cloud Dragon Mountain Master’s face paled, at a loss.

With a cold laugh, Lei Hongteng turned to look at the silent Qin Heng, sneering blatantly, ”Even if Cloud Dragon Mountain helps you, what of it? I have the support of Thunder Dragon Mountain, Wind Dragon Mountain, and... Fire Dragon Mountain, what are you, Qin Heng, in comparison?!”

Upon saying this, Lei Hongteng strode towards Huo Yanmei and demanded, ”Master Huo, aren’t your elders going to take action?”

Huo Yanmei slightly lifted his head, surprising Lei Hongteng with a counter-question, ”What if I don’t help you?”

Upon hearing this, Lei Hongteng flew into a rage; Huo Yanmei dared to publicly disgrace him.

”Huo Yanmei, have you thoroughly thought this through...”

”You are severely injured right now, and Liu Shan is right behind you. He could take your life at any moment. Do you dare not help me?”

Huo Yanmei lifted his gaze, a cold smile forming at the corner of his mouth. Suddenly, he vanished from the chair... Snap!

A palm fiercely slapped across Lei Hongteng’s face. The latter had never anticipated that Huo Yanmei had already recovered, so he didn’t react until the slap befuddled him; this being the second slap today, his entire face was burning with pain.

”Who said I was severely injured?”

Huo Yanmei asked indifferently, then he commanded the elders of Fire Dragon Mountain, ”Lei Hongteng aims to harm Vice Palace Master Qin and to disrupt our Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, everyone from Fire Dragon Mountain take action to save Qin Lao and others....”

With this command, everyone from Fire Dragon Mountain started attacking those who were overpowering Qin Lao and Wen Hu.

Only Liu Shan remained standing dumbfounded behind the chair.

Lei Hongteng’s fists crackled loudly, he bellowed in fury, ”Liu Shan, do you dare to betray me?”

Liu Shan trembled violently, grinding his teeth, ”Master Lei, our Master Huo received the fast-acting medicine from Sikong’s Apprentice. I really had no choice... I’m sorry, I now stand with Vice Palace Master Qin.”

Having said this, Liu Shan followed in the attack, rescuing Qin Lao and others.

At the same moment, Lei Hongteng shook violently.

Sikong’s Apprentice, it finally dawned on him the significance of this figure.

He had brought a life-saving medicine to Qin Heng and what fast-acting medicine to Huo Yanmei, was it all his doing?

Lei Hongteng turned around, staring intensely at Sikong Jing.

At this time, Lei Zizhen also returned to his side, quickly explaining that Sikong Jing was the one responsible for him losing an arm,

”It was you, all you!”

Lei Hongteng’s whole body rippled with killing intent, as if ready to devour Sikong Jing.

However, Sikong Jing remained calm, pinching a chess piece, and slowly replied, ”Yes, it was all me.”

”I... will kill you!”

Lei Hongteng, already furious due to his son being maimed and losing an arm, and now his entire plan was ruined by him, vowed to tear this brat apart.

However, Qin Heng and Huo Yanmei almost simultaneously appeared in front of Sikong Jing, their True Qi bursting forth to suppress Lei Hongteng.

At the same time, the two sides began to confront each other, terrifying True Qi surging to the skies.

Suddenly, Qin Heng spoke lightly, ”Everyone listen, whoever retreats from Lei Hongteng’s side right now, I will let bygones be bygones; otherwise, you should know what awaits.”

As soon as he finished, some elders hesitated. Qin Heng was, after all, legitimate, and he had Palace Master Shen supporting him!

”Don’t listen to him, does he dare to go mad and kill you? He doesn’t dare...”

”Qin Heng ah Qin Heng, don’t think that you’ve won already. It’s better for us to sit down and talk now; otherwise, it’s fish and nets broken for both of us, with Xingluo Palace eyeing us fiercely!”

Suddenly, Lei Hongteng softened his tone, fearing that the elders might defect back to Qin Heng’s side.

But he also emitted a tough stance, given the threat of Xingluo Palace.

Upon hearing this, Qin Heng replied coldly, ”Do you dare to use Xingluo Palace, our mortal enemy, to threaten me? Are you even a member of the Holy Dragon Palace anymore?”

As one of the seven Institute Masters of Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, Lei Hongteng should at least consider the greater good.

To use Xingluo Palace as a threat was utterly disloyal.

”I don’t care, my life is the most important.”

Lei Hongteng let out a cold laugh, pointing to the people on both sides, ”We are evenly matched now, if you have the guts, let it be fish and nets broken then!”

At these words, Qin Heng’s expression turned extremely grim; he truly did not dare start a deathmatch that could potentially cause the destruction of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace by Xingluo Palace.

However, at this moment, Sikong Jing suddenly spoke up, ”Who said we are evenly matched?”
