Berserk God of War

Chapter 338: Chapter 338: Giving You Face, One Arm

The Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon carried a whiff of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts’ aura, intimidating all the demon beast mounts of the Xingluo Palace students.

Originally, the dragon might of the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon, which was only at the Xuantian Fourth Realm, was naturally insufficient to intimidate all the demon beasts present.

But with Sikong Jing’s aura of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts added, that was a different story.

All at once, the demon beast mounts beneath the Xingluo Palace students seemed to be rooted in place, fear flashing in their pupils.

”Black Refining Dark Hook Claw’s twelfth move, Black Refinement Like Smoke,” Sikong Jing uttered in a low voice, seizing the moment.

Suddenly, he and the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon beneath him merged into one.

Together, they became a black stream of smoke, darting out from the weakest direction of the encirclement formed by Xingluo Palace students.

Spurt...

As he left, Sikong Jing’s claw slit the throats of two Xingluo Palace students.

As their blood sprayed, he had already broken out of the encirclement.

At last, the black smoke reconverged into a dragon in the distance, and Sikong Jing’s voice rang out again, ”Lei Zizhen, Brother Lei, I wish you all the divine might to slay all the Xingluo Palace students, farewell.”

With those words, the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon dashed away into the distance without hesitation.

The next instant, the pupils of over a hundred Inner Palace Students from the Xingluo Palace contracted sharply.

Three figures abruptly landed beside the two slain Inner Palace Students, staring in the direction where Sikong Jing had vanished.

They, of course, were the three chiefs of Xingluo Palace.

Looking at the breathless Xingluo Palace students, Bai Liuhun’s eyes brimmed with killing intent as he said in a low voice, ”Junior Brother Sha, you take twenty Inner Palace Students and stay behind to slay Lei Zizhen...”

”Junior Sister Weng and the rest, follow me to hunt down that Spirit Martial Root boy.”

No sooner had he spoken, Bai Liuhun and Junior Sister Weng mounted flying demon beasts and chased after him like two streaks of light.

Eighty Inner Palace Students followed closely behind.

While Junior Brother Sha remained behind with twenty Inner Palace Students, continuing to surround Lei Zizhen.

Watching Bai Liuhun and the others leave, Lei Zizhen’s eyes widened.

All of a sudden, he turned to the remaining Junior Brother Sha and shouted, ”Yu Heng Chief Sha Bingyan, are you looking down on me?”

His mother, Bai Liuhun, actually took eighty Inner Palace Students and a chief to chase after the little apprentice Sikong Jing, leaving only one chief from Yu Heng Star Academy and twenty students to deal with him.

Lei Zizhen felt deeply humiliated by this.

Why does that little apprentice require so many to chase him down? And I, Lei Zizhen, only get a fifth of that opposition?

Do I have no shame?

Sha Bingyan looked at Lei Zizhen with a cold smile, the corner of his mouth twisting as he replied, ”Lei Zizhen, you can’t compare to that guy just now.”

The fact was that the level of importance they placed on them was incomparable, not their realm or Martial Arts strengths.

For Lei Zizhen, it was best if they could kill him; if not, so be it.

But for Sikong Jing, the Xingluo Palace had to ensure absolute success, even knowing that the other was a Spirit Martial Root, even knowing he hadn’t reached the Xuantian Five Realms; they still had to take him seriously.

However, to Lei Zizhen’s ears, Sha Bingyan’s words conveyed a different meaning.

To think he was being compared to that little apprentice.

Hatred surged in Lei Zizhen’s heart, and as he heavily pounded the Thunder Winged Dragon Snake, he furiously declared, ”Sha Bingyan, I’ll kill you all.”

In an instant, the fierce battle commenced,

The sound of swords howling, dragons chanting, and beasts roaring erupted continuously in the sky above Wanbao Pavilion, as Lei Zizhen fought against twenty-one Xingluo Palace students all by himself.

The streets were packed with people, yet no one dared to intervene.

Even the guards and catchpoles of the Long Night Empire merely watched with cold eyes.

At this moment, Third Young Master Lang was still in the crowd, his mouth agape as he watched the battle overhead. He couldn’t help but look towards the direction where Sikong Jing was being pursued, muttering to himself, ”What should I do?”

He never expected so many Xingluo Palace students to suddenly emerge, each of them determined to kill Junior Brother Sikong.

”Go to the Holy Dragon Palace to find someone to rescue Junior Brother Sikong?”

”No, the first person the Holy Dragon Palace would save is Lei Zizhen, nobody will care about whether Junior Brother Sikong lives or dies.”

”Forget it, let’s head to the Long Night Black Burning Army first...”

Saying this, Lang Yisuo frantically squeezed through the crowd and ran towards the direction of the Long Night Black Burning Army.

He didn’t know that Sikong Jing was highly regarded by Vice Palace Master Qin Heng, he just knew that the identity of a little apprentice would certainly not be as important as Lei Zizhen, the Chief of Thunder Dragon Mountain, so the only ones who could save Sikong Jing were the Long Night Black Burning Army.

As for the Wanbao Pavilion, his third brother, Lang Yizhan, was inside; he would never allow himself to interfere in the great battle between the students of the two palaces.

Not long after Lang Yisuo left.

In midair, the battle between Lei Zizhen and Sha Bingyan and others had slowly begun to determine a winner.

The Thunder Winged Dragon Snake beneath Lei Zizhen’s feet had been slain by the Xingluo Palace, and Lei Zizhen was cornered on a rooftop, his body covered in blood, looking extremely wretched.

As for Sha Bingyan and the twenty-some Xingluo Palace students around, not a single one had suffered any loss.

Just one person, Lei Zizhen, was naturally no match for so many Xingluo Palace students.

”Lei Zizhen, you’re as good as dead,” Sha Bingyan said with a sinister smile, ready to get rid of Lei Zizhen.

At this moment, Lei Zizhen was filled with both fear and hatred.

He didn’t hate the students of the Xingluo Palace so much as he hated Sikong Jing for dragging him down.

If it weren’t for the appearance of this little apprentice, how could it have led to the siege by so many Xingluo Palace students?

It must have been him who caused the Thunder Winged Dragon Snake to mutate into the Black Refining Dark Hook Dragon, which attracted the Xingluo Palace.

Suddenly, a faint voice rang out, ”Xingluo Palace of the Long Night, do me a favor and let Brother Lei go.”

As the voice fell, Lei Zizhen trembled all over, and ecstatically said, ”Third Young Master Lang.”

A figure suddenly appeared in front of Lei Zizhen, it was Lang Yizhan.

Sha Bingyan’s eyes turned cold as he scrutinized Lang Yizhan and said, ”Who are you? Why should I respect your wishes?”

Lang Yizhan had a terrifying aura, and since he dared to intervene in the battle of the two major academies in the Long Night Imperial City, his background must be extraordinary.

A sense of vigilance filled the eyes of the Xingluo Palace students.

”I am Lang Yizhan, the Third Prince of Wanbao Pavilion, and I am also an Inner Palace student of the Heavenly Dao General Academy,” Lang Yizhan replied proudly, throwing a token to Sha Bingyan across from him.

Sha Bingyan’s pupils contracted slightly, and his brows furrowed. After several breaths, he replied, ”One arm.”

”Hm?” Lang Yizhan raised an eyebrow.

Sha Bingyan said coldly, ”I will respect your status, but Lei Zizhen must leave behind an arm, otherwise others might think Xingluo Academy is afraid of Heavenly Dao Academy.”

Even though Lang Yizhan was a student of the Heavenly Dao General Academy, Sha Bingyan was not overly accommodating.

Although the Long Night Xingluo Palace was just a branch of the Xingluo General Academy, it was still powerful and represented the face of the Xingluo Academy.

Instantly, Lei Zizhen’s face drastically changed, filled with terror.

After pondering for a moment, Lang Yizhan eventually nodded and replied, ”Agreed.”

The enmity between Xingluo and Holy Dragon, the two major academies, was very deep, and Sha Bingyan’s request for an arm was already giving him enough face.

Soon, a shrill scream rang out from Lei Zizhen as his arm was mercilessly severed.

Afterward, Sha Bingyan and the others left with the glow of the stars.

”Little Apprentice Sikong Jing, I will tear you to pieces.”

In the end, Lei Zizhen let out a crazed roar, his hatred for Sikong Jing overflowing.

If his arm wasn’t properly treated, even his martial arts might be ruined.
