Chapter 302: Chapter 302: Trust It Not, Stab with a Sword

Soon, another Vice General of the 96th Army spoke up, ”In the Long Night Black Burning Army, one’s background is what matters.”

General Lan Zhuanghe burst into laughter again, ”Boy from Canglong Domain, did you hear that? What do you have to compete with me? In the Long Night Black Burning Army, ability is not important at all, background is everything. No one dares to betray me.”

The voices made the faces of the 99th Army’s soldiers turn red with frustration. Was their brilliant victory still useless?

Yet, Sikong Jing’s face was still smiling...

”Bring someone here!”

Suddenly, Sikong Jing gave a stern order, ”Strip the soldiers of the 96th Legion of their armor and weapons and send troops in the name of this Vice General of the 96th, and directly assault the... family towns of the 98th Legion!”

Having said that, he also pointed at the Vice General who thought he had the most confidence.

As these words came out, everyone at the scene was shocked, and the eyes of the Vice General bulged in disbelief.

”You... you dare!”

As mentioned before, attacking the family towns was a taboo line that the Long Night Black Burning Army must not cross, and Sikong Jing was going to do it in his own name; that would be the end of him, his entire family would die!

Sikong Jing’s face was full of a cold sneer, he ignored the outcry and commanded again, ”Send another group, in the name of this second Vice General of the 96th, to attack the family towns of the 97th Legion.”

Following that, Sikong Jing issued command after command...

The Black-armored Soldiers of the 99th Army changed into the full gear of the 96th Legion, formed several groups, and prepared to depart to assault the family towns of various legions.

Each one was impressive and fearless.

On the other hand, the core figures of the 96th Legion looked extremely ugly...

”You scum, do you think you can coerce us like this?”

”In the end, the Long Night Black Burning Army will definitely find out it was you, and you will be ruined as well!”

The Vice Generals of the 96th roared angrily, spitting at the direction of Sikong Jing.

But Sikong Jing still carried a cold smile, shrugging his shoulders as he replied, ”Being found out is a concern for later, anyway, no matter how hard our 99th Army tries, we can’t level up. So, might as well drag all of you to death with us.”

”After attacking the family towns, I’ll bring all the families of the various legions to Ninety-Six Castle, and then the legions will lose their minds and rush here first, to kill you off.”

”By then, all of you will be dead.”

”As for whether we’ll be found out afterward, whether we’ll be punished or even executed, you won’t be around to see.”

Sikong Jing’s voice was indifferent, yet sounded like the Devil’s own.

Instantly, the core figures of the 96th Legion felt chills all over, their teeth chattering.

If Sikong Jing did this, the other legions would definitely not report it first; their first move would be to come to Ninety-Six Castle to rescue their families, and they’d angrily tear them to pieces.

They would even return the favor and tear every one of the 96th Legion’s families to shreds.

Seeing the furious blushing faces around him, Sikong Jing ordered the fully disguised Black-armored Soldiers, ”Deploy!”

”Madman, you’re absolutely a madman...”

The members of the 96th Army shouted continuously, but Sikong Jing remained unruffled, confident in his grip over the situation.

His resolve was unshakable, with no hint of wavering.

Seeing groups preparing to storm out of the gates, one of the Vice Generals of the 96th finally shouted, ”I surrender, I’ll join you.”

He didn’t dare to gamble, otherwise, he would truly die; Sikong Jing would definitely go through with it.

But Sikong Jing still smiled, suddenly approached and withdrew the Vice General’s sword and handed it back to him, saying, ”Too bad I can’t trust you, unless you stab General Lan Zhuanghe with it.”

As the words fell, General Lan Zhuanghe, already beyond furious, widened his eyes and roared, ”Sikong Jing, you dare!”

And the Deputy General trembled violently all over!

”I’ll count to three, and if you don’t stab, my men will immediately set off, never to turn back,”

Sikong Jing’s voice sounded as terrifying as a devil, causing everyone present to tremble violently.

”Three, two...”

As Sikong Jing counted down, finally the Deputy General roared and drove his sword into Lan Zhuanghe’s thigh.

Lan Zhuanghe let out a terrible, heart-wrenching howl!

At that moment, Sikong Jing let out a sinister smile, stared at Lan Zhuanghe indifferently, and whispered in his ear, ”You’re finished, this is what happens when you dare to touch my family!”

Having said that, he then turned to the second Deputy General of the 96th Legion, drew his own sword, and handed it to him.

This time Sikong Jing didn’t say anything, just coldly watched him.

Afterwards, from within Ninety-Six Castle came the pig-like screams of Lan Zhuanghe, as all the key leaders of the 96th Legion brutally stabbed Lan Zhuanghe with their swords...

No one dared to resist, otherwise Sikong Jing would attack the families of other legions under their names.

And Lan Zhuanghe, who had been stabbed many times, was now lying on the ground, muttering curses, but he had not yet truly died.

Of course, Sikong Jing wouldn’t let him die so easily.

After everything was settled, Sikong Jing said to the two Deputy Generals of the 99th Army, ”Let them go, from now on they are all our good brothers.”

Upon hearing the words ”good brothers,” all the members of the 96th Legion clenched their teeth in hatred, overflowing with resentment.

All of them were thinking about how they could possibly kill Sikong Jing, how they could save Lan Zhuanghe... They believed General Lan wouldn’t blame them, after all, it was a situation they were forced into!

But, as if seeing through their thoughts, Sikong Jing suddenly added, ”Take Lan Zhuanghe down to heal, and when necessary, send him back to the Lan Family, and by the way, bring a few more from the Lan Family for everyone to kill to their heart’s content.”

At these words, a chill swept through all members of the 96th Legion.

Injuring Lan Zhuanghe was one thing, but killing people from the Lan Family was irreconcilable.

More importantly, this was certain to become a thorn in Lan Zhuanghe’s heart; their future was definitively bleak.

Each of them stared at Sikong Jing as if looking at the most terrifying devil.

In the end, they sighed longingly, unable to fight back.

From then on, the only option they had was to obediently follow Sikong Jing’s orders; there was no second path to walk.

After conquering the Ninety-six Core Characters of the 96th Legion, the rest of the fifty thousand Black-armored Soldiers were easy to handle; they were just regular soldiers, and it didn’t really matter to them who was the General, as they were all people of the Long Night Black Burning Army anyway.

Moreover, in the minds of many, Lan Zhuanghe had already become synonymous with a useless person.

The once-mighty 96th Legion had suffered two crushing defeats at the hands of the 99th Army; if not a useless person, then what? They might as well join the 99th Army.

On the other hand, the 99th Army was using troops like a god; to this point, they still didn’t understand how they had been defeated so miserably.

After a while, in the command hall of Ninety-Six Castle.

Elder Wei gazed at Sikong Jing and asked anxiously, ”Brother Sikong, what’s next? How do we deal with Yan Shun? Even if we conquer the entire 96th Legion, it won’t outweigh a single order from Yan Shun.”

The two Deputy Generals of the 99th Army were equally worried. Although Sikong Jing’s methods were terrifying, this matter was truly difficult to handle.

Meanwhile, the Ninety-six Core Characters were still sneering secretly.

I want to see what you can pull off, even though we must follow you out of compulsion; we still don’t want to see you succeed so smoothly.

Sikong Jing smiled slightly, slowly sipped his tea, and calmly said, ”Rest for one hour, then attack the 98th Legion.”
