Berserk God of War

Chapter 321: Chapter 321: She, an Inner Palace Student, Has at Most Two Wings

At last, everyone was finally helped up, and all sorts of consolations followed.

Then, on the Dark Dragon Mountain Road, they found Shi Nu and the others, all unconscious, unresponsive to any calls.

”Didn’t expect Yisuo to be so formidable. Even three fifth-year students couldn’t beat him when they joined forces,” someone remarked.

”This ’good guy’ really hits hard, damn his ’goodness’.”

Everyone still didn’t know about Sikong Jing’s challenge on the Dark Dragon Mountain Road. Seeing Yisuo’s previous exhausted state, they assumed he had defeated Shi Nu and the others, as well as three fifth-year Xuantian Realm students.

Moreover, his strikes were severe enough to keep them unconscious for the time being.

If Yisuo knew how he was viewed by the people of Dark Dragon Mountain, he would probably be heartbroken.

...

Sikong Jing was unaware of the situation in Dark Dragon Mountain.

After returning to Holy Dragon Town, he let Yisuo rest in his apprentice room before he turned and headed towards the Task Hall.

Sikong Jing needed to submit the Xingluo Palace tokens to exchange for points.

Xu He and Ge Rong followed him eagerly.

Since Sikong Jing’s apprentice room was near the Da He Association, he had just appeared when the two, who were eagerly waiting, caught up with him.

To them, Sikong Jing was the future hope of Da He Association as well as their great support.

”Junior Brother Sikong, are you planning to take on a task at the Task Hall?” Xu He asked.

Sikong Jing looked at them and replied with a smile, ”No, I’ve acquired some more Xingluo Palace tokens and am planning to exchange them for points.”

As soon as he said this, Xu He and Ge Rong, who had previously been all smiles, were stunned and dumbfounded.

’Got some more Xingluo Palace tokens’—that seemed to imply not just one or two?

Gulp...

Both swallowed hard. Ge Rong, staring blankly, asked, ”Junior Brother Sikong, how many Xingluo Palace tokens did you get this time?”

”Not many, just over twenty,” Sikong Jing replied honestly.

At that, Xu He and Ge Rong nearly fell to the ground—just over twenty and still saying ’not many’?

Was Junior Brother Sikong showing off? We’re just minor apprentices from Da He Association, was there a need to act like this in front of us?

Thus, with their heads spinning, they followed him to the Task Hall.

”Sister, that’s him!”

Just as they were about to step into the Task Hall, a crazed voice rang out.

Upon hearing this, Xu He and Ge Rong instinctively looked over, then their expressions drastically changed as they whispered, ”Tao Huai!”

Standing outside the Task Hall were a man and a woman; the man was Tao Huai from the Ancient Locust Society in the Apprentice School Region.

The proud woman beside him, dressed in a purple gown, was clearly a Thunder Dragon Mountain student.

Coming to their senses, Xu He exclaimed, ”Junior Brother Sikong, run!”

”That woman next to Tao Huai is his sister, Tao Yue, an Inner Palace student from Thunder Dragon Mountain. These past few days, Tao Huai has been boasting that he would ask his sister to settle accounts with you,” he added.

After saying that, Xu He and Ge Rong tried to pull Sikong Jing to run away; after all, an Inner Palace student was an esteemed figure to them.

However, Sikong Jing remained indifferent, and Xu He and Ge Rong simply couldn’t move him.

At that moment, Tao Yue strutted over, looked Sikong Jing up and down, and pointed to the ground, saying, ”You can’t run away. Kneel and kowtow to my brother, and I might spare your life.”

She did not consider Sikong Jing significant at all; an apprentice was nothing but an ant in the eyes of an Inner Palace student.

”Boy, aren’t you kneeling yet?” Tao Huai walked beside his sister, speaking arrogantly.

Xu He and Ge Rong’s faces turned ashen.

Afterward, Ge Rong couldn’t help but pluck up the courage to say, ”You’re an esteemed Inner Palace Student, is there any joy in bullying apprentices like this?”

However, Tao Yue curled up the corners of her mouth, ”I am bullying, and if you dare hit my brother, you must pay the price, all three of you, kneel down!”

The Task Hall had always been the busiest place in Holy Dragon Palace, frequented by both Official Students and Inner Palace Students who came here to post or claim tasks—of course, the apprentices who milled about were the most numerous.

”It’s the new apprentice who hit the incumbent student from Wind Dragon Mountain last time.”

”This time he really hit a snag, Tao Huai’s sister, Tao Yue, is an Inner Palace Student from Thunder Dragon Mountain, and it’s her third year, though she’s still only in the Martial Arts Sect Realm, she’s still formidable.”

”Exactly, I heard she killed an Official Student from the First Realm of Xuantian outright last time.”

Several apprentices whispered among themselves, pointing and discussing.

Just then, students from Thunder Dragon Mountain suddenly approached and one of them pointed at Sikong Jing, barking, ”Have you three gone deaf, kneel down, do you honestly think you can make Senior Sister Tao angry without consequences?”

There were several students from Thunder Dragon Mountain, all strutting around arrogantly and disdainfully.

”Idiots.”

Just when everyone thought that Sikong Jing and his companions could do nothing but obediently kneel, Sikong Jing spat out those two words.

Following that, he turned and walked toward the Task Hall...

Xu He and Ge Rong were dumbfounded again, they glanced around and hurriedly followed.

The scene quieted down, and everyone couldn’t believe that this little apprentice dared to curse, even cursing an Inner Palace Student.

”Does he not, distinguish between Inner Palace Students and apprentices?”

Someone hesitantly began speaking, and the crowd began nodding in agreement, it was clear who was the real fool.

Several students from Thunder Dragon Mountain were stunned by the insult, and finally, one of them exploded in anger, ”Little apprentice, how dare you curse Senior Sister Tao, I’ll lay you out right now.”

Saying so, he darted toward the trio consisting of Sikong Jing.

Trailing behind, Xu He and Ge Rong’s faces changed drastically, feeling as though their bodies were immobilized by this Thunder Dragon Mountain student’s presence, then they could only watch helplessly as he aimed a slap at Sikong Jing’s back.

”Die!”

The Thunder Dragon Mountain student’s face contorted with savagery, while Tao Yue wore a conceited, cold smile.

Being an Inner Palace Student, she didn’t need to get her hands dirty to bully someone; there were plenty willing to go through fire and water for her.

But the next moment, Sikong Jing suddenly vanished on the spot, and the Thunder Dragon Mountain student kicked at air, his eyes widening with shock.

Then, Sikong Jing appeared over his head, stomping down.

Bang!

A loud sound ensued as the Thunder Dragon Mountain student was viciously stamped under Sikong Jing’s foot.

At this moment, Sikong Jing looked back indifferently, his gaze sweeping over Tao Yue and the others, and suddenly asked, ”Senior Brother Xu, how many points would it be if I defeated an Inner Palace Student in the Combat Hall?”

The whole place went quiet, only Sikong Jing’s indifferent and calm voice remained.

Xu He’s mouth gaped staring at Sikong Jing, but soon he came to terms with it, as it wasn’t his first time defeating an official student.

But from his words, it seemed he still intended to challenge Inner Palace Student Tao Yue?

Ge Rong was the first to speak up, ”Brother Sikong, probably several tens of thousands of points, it specifically depends on the tier of the Inner Palace Student.”

At the mention, Sikong Jing pointed at Tao Yue, ”Hers, what tier?”

”At most two tiers,” Xu He also took over the conversation; he knew Tao Yue was among the lowest in the Inner Palace Students.

A look of regret flashed in Sikong Jing’s eyes as he sighed, ”Then at most it’s less than a hundred thousand points. That’s really not worth going against a student from Xingluo Palace... forget it, I don’t have that time or interest.”

The points were still too few, Sikong Jing no longer felt like going to the Combat Hall.

His words left everyone gaping, as Sikong Jing nonchalantly discussed challenging an Inner Palace Student, was he out of his mind?
