Chapter 247: Chapter 123: Lieutenant General Su

Su Jiameng thought the capsule drug she bought from the Plane Store was an ordinary drug that could change a person’s body and appearance. But in fact, it’s not that simple, for this drug is actually a product of the Goblin Plane.

What are Goblins? A bunch of ”scientists” with extraordinary skills, who have seamlessly combined mechanical civilization with magical civilization to become revolutionary ”creators.” Naturally, the things they create are precious, but because many of their works are rather niche, their prices in the Plane Store are generally not high. The capsule drug Su Jiameng bought is one of these items!

This capsule drug is actually a fantasy-type drug, meaning that after taking it, one transforms into the person or object they deeply envision themselves to be, and temporarily possesses all the abilities of that person or object. Of course, the power doesn’t come from thin air; a certain bond or trigger is needed as a bridge. Without a profound bond, taking the drug only changes the body and appearance, serving no other purpose.

Because of this bothersome attribute, the sales volume of such capsule drugs in the Plane Store is pitifully low, with fewer than a single pill sold every few hundred years. Su Jiameng accidentally stumbled upon and unintentionally found a channel to open a temporary cheat for herself.

Facing Su Jiameng’s confused questions, everyone was speechless. It wasn’t that they had shrunk, but this little girl had grown taller! And what was with this outfit? Li You and Gu Ningzhi glanced at the insignia on her shoulder with a strange expression.

”Why are you all looking at me like that?” Su Jiameng asked in confusion while pointing at herself. As she turned her head to look at the glass on the side of the box, her pupils instantly shrank... What... What was going on? She restrained herself from the almost trembling urge to touch her own face...

This person wore a crisply tailored olive-green military uniform, her body looking quite good, tightly encased by the uniform, giving off an indescribable austerity. Her exposed skin was nearly all wrapped in bandages, and her black eyes reflected a deathly stillness. The insignia on her shoulder indicated that her military rank was — Lieutenant General! How could Su Jiameng forget this outfit? This was precisely how she looked when she was still a Lieutenant General!

Clenching her fist tighter, she could easily feel the immense strength within her body, as agile as her own arm, unlike her frail and petite loli-like body. Li You and Gu Ningzhi could detect the change in aura around Su Jiameng, though they couldn’t perceive her strength, such as her mental and physical ability levels.

”What... is going on here?” Gu Ningzhi, knowing a bit more about Su Jiameng than others, at least aware of her telekinesis, such strange and formidable power, quickly reacted to this extraordinary change beyond common sense.

”I don’t know... it should be the effect of that drug.” Su Jiameng said, her voice was not the cute loli-like voice, but instead filled with a slightly harsh raspiness, making people quite uncomfortable, ”After taking the drug, one plays certain roles or so...”

As soon as everyone heard ”playing certain roles,” they immediately labeled the current Su Jiameng as ”cosplaying Mummy Major General.”

Although there were still many doubts, now was clearly not the time to inquire. Gu Ningxuan, frowning, asked, ”Miss Su... you won’t stay like this forever, will you?” Though looking quite distinctive, it somehow gave an oppressive feeling.

Su Jiameng shook her head and said, ”Of course, I won’t stay like this forever... The drug effect lasts about four to five hours. I was just trying it out to see the effect. As it stands, the effect is quite good...”

She never cared much about her appearance, and occasionally looking in the mirror was only to check if she had cleaned up well. Compared to this powerful ability to deal with the Insect Race, appearance didn’t count for much. No matter beauty or ugliness, essentially it was all just a skeleton.

Forget maintaining this mummy state continuously; even if she became uglier, as long as the power remained, she was happy as could be.

Unfortunately, the drug effect was time-limited; she couldn’t maintain it for long. But in this state, achieving high-altitude sniping and other things was no problem at all! Although not at the peak of her previous life, dealing with a few escapees was more than enough.

Li You’s gaze was fixed on the insignia on Su Jiameng’s shoulder. As an Alliance Major General, he naturally knew that this insignia was genuine and not a simple cosplay as ”Mummy Major General.” In cosplay gaming, who could produce a real insignia?

Everyone understands what an insignia means to an Alliance warrior with a military rank; it’s equivalent to a belief!
