Chapter 243: Chapter 121: So Dramatic, So Ridiculous [Part 1]

Gu Ningzhi knew that this little partner had a fire in his heart, but he didn’t expect the other party’s fire to be so intense. It seems Li You’s nature hasn’t changed; he just collects his outer passion, appearing serious, but when truly angry, it’s still intimidating.

This house was Li You’s newly bought residence, everything inside was brand new, but at this moment, it was as chaotic and shattered as if a typhoon had passed through. Various furniture had been torn apart, fine wine from the bar was flowing everywhere, with glass shards scattered all around.

It’s important to note that this was the residence of an Alliance Major General, and yet it was as messy as if it had been looted, showing what kind of chaotic events had transpired here previously. Skirting around half of a broken sofa, two heavily panting men were seen lying on the floor in various positions.

Their clothes were torn due to their life-risking fight, giving them a very trendy beggar look.

Never mind the clothes; the exposed skin was even more dramatic, covered in bruises, each one from a heavy punch. Gu Ningzhi panted heavily and sat up slightly, leaning against the sofa, and after catching his breath, he barely managed to speak, ”Little Squid... you really love me like a brother, huh? Thirty years apart, and you... you treat me like this... hiss, this hurts like hell...”

Previously, Li You held a gun against Gu Ningzhi’s forehead. The two were close partners with a mutual understanding over the years, knowing each other’s intentions well. Gu Ningxuan deftly kicked away his gun, and the two directly staged a violent all-out fight in Li You’s new house!

They didn’t use Mecha, spiritual power, or any other techniques, just pure hand-to-hand combat, and the result was quite brutal.

Li You had been in the Expedition Army for over thirty years, mentored by the extremely powerful General Qin of the military, never neglecting his own training, thus progressing rapidly. Meanwhile, Gu Ningzhi wandered around, although his strength also improved, he was gradually caught up by Li You whose combat power previously lagged behind. Before, he always suppressed Li You; now, the two were evenly matched.

”Hm, you kid totally deserve a beating. With your whole body not properly loosened, how can anyone swallow this breath!” Li You’s situation wasn’t ideal either, with a few broken bones... Gu Ningzhi was more ruthless than before.

Men usually foster relationships in following ways: drink contests, chatting about women in private, sparring in the training field, casual chatting and joking. Gu Ningzhi and Li You, these two partners, preferred the third option, to vent dissatisfaction, justify their beating of each other, and mockingly call the other the weak soft-shelled shrimp... In short, the benefits were many.

Gu Ningzhi closed his eyes to adjust his breathing, not responding to Li You’s words, after a while, Li You asked, ”Was what you said true before?”

”Joining the Expedition Army anonymously?” Gu Ningzhi grinned mischievously, ”The premise is you can secure that task... Only then I can join the army, otherwise forget it. But after the task, I’ll leave again...”

Li You showed a hint of helplessness knowing Gu Ningzhi’s temperament. He never regrets his decisions, even if it turns out to be wrong, he persists in going his way stubbornly! So annoying!

”I did receive such a task; if you have the ability to blend into the Expedition Army, I will take you over!” Li You responded in a low voice, then suddenly opened his eyes to look at him, ”But once you’re in the Expedition Army, leaving won’t be easy! Want to leave? Sure! Just win against me then, if you can’t, you’ll stay in the Expedition Army!”

Gu Ningzhi chuckled, flashing his pearly whites, ”Not that I mean, Little Squid, do you really think you can beat me?”

Li You remained silent, propped himself up to stand, looking down at the sprawling on-the-ground like mud Gu Ningzhi, and said sternly, ”Whether I can win or not, you’ll find out then. Gu Ningzhi, don’t be overconfident. Additionally... don’t blame me for not warning you; if what you intend to do violates the Alliance, I’ll be the first to take you down!”

Gu Ningzhi heard his agreement, immediately revitalized on the spot, sitting up cross-legged, ”Relax, if I ever do anything... not just you, my old man at home will queue up to whip my corpse!”

Li You snorted coldly, enduring the pain of broken bones, called for the household robot to fetch the medical kit. Gu Ningxuan grinned at the living room resembling the aftermath of a Level Nine earthquake, tilted his head and asked Li You, ”Considering you’re so loyal, I’ll treat you to takeout today.”
