Chapter 228: Chapter 113: The Bus Child Abductor (Part 2)

Doesn’t this person know that their perfume is of poor quality and the scent is overwhelming, making people feel incredibly nauseous? Doesn’t this guy know that not everyone likes others getting close to them voluntarily, especially with ulterior motives!

Su Jiameng maintained a cold demeanor from start to finish, briefly responding with ”mm,” ”oh,” and ”yes,” to show that she wasn’t deaf and was listening carefully. The person seemed to sense her indifference and a hint of awkwardness and disgust flashed across their face, but soon they tried to engage her by talking about parenting tips.

Generally speaking, new mothers love it when others praise their children and enjoy hearing experienced mothers talk about parenting experiences, secretly learning to better take care of their own babies. Confronted with such generous sharing from a passionate ”mama,” most new mothers, no matter how aloof, would soften their attitude and might even become friendly with the other party...

However... Su Jiameng coldly glanced at the other person from the corner of her eye. She wasn’t a fool. And not just in this era, but in the past life and the life before that, a mother should never disclose information about her child to a stranger. Details such as age, birth date, birthmarks, physical traits, and nicknames... these are things to be guarded against even with acquaintances.

Su Jiameng was irritated by her, so she decided to create fictitious information to fool the other person. When they were one station away from their destination, the person asked if she could hold the baby, saying how adorable and beautiful the child was, and how exceptional they would be when they grew up...

Seeing her extend her arms, Su Jiameng’s eyes turned even colder. She hadn’t held her baby long enough herself, why would she let someone else do it? Especially a woman with ulterior motives. She’s no fool! Su Jiameng didn’t respond, but a boy wearing a Xilena First Affiliated School uniform beside her couldn’t sit still any longer...

”Hey, what’s wrong with you, how can you believe this person’s words? If you hand over the child, she might turn around and accuse you of stealing her child...” The boy, holding a briefcase-like bag, was clearly angry, pointing at the heavily made-up woman and scolded, ”If you dare try anything, we’ll send you to the police!”

The woman’s face turned red with embarrassment, facing the curious glances of the whole carriage, her expression turned from green to white, then she gritted her teeth and said, ”This is my child, that shameless woman snatched her from the hospital, what proof do you have to slander me?”

Su Jiameng slightly raised an eyebrow, let out a soft laugh, remembering that even back in the Earth Era, there were cases of child abductions and baby trafficking. Unexpectedly, after so many years, in the Future Interstellar Era, these people were still so foolish.

These criminal groups were the most disgusting, and they were among the few types Su Jiameng despised continuously from her first life until now.

After abducting children, they wouldn’t treat them well; instead, they would barely raise them to a certain age, then evaluate the ”goods’ quality.”

If they looked good, they’d continue raising them to become ”objects of desire,” bribing or supplying some powerful figures to toy with in private. If they weren’t good-looking but were talented, they would be trained to become weapons, later serving some special forces. If none of these were possible, they would be sold to families that couldn’t have children or to impoverished families, or dissected and sold for their organs...

If they didn’t even qualify for those three outcomes, they might end up sold to some concealed organizations, using the children as live experiment subjects.

Whether in the Future Interstellar Era or the Earth Era, the modus operandi was quite similar, as were the handling methods. Though, Earth Era traffickers were harsher, with some deliberately orchestrating disabilities on the children to force them to beg in streets.

The Future Interstellar backdrop was unique, where even families impoverished to the point of survival would apply for assistance, eliminating the concept of beggars. Su Jiameng took a deep breath, feeling a mix of emotions, unsure whether to be angry or amused at having encountered such scum!

Just as she was pondering over these matters, the boy angrily exclaimed, ”I heard everything, you were trying to trick that young mother just now, and now you claim the child is yours, who would believe that?”

The heavily made-up woman’s eyes showed a hint of panic, but she quickly regained her composure and loudly declared, ”You say that because you are in cahoots with this child-stealing woman, having taken my child and now attempting to shift the blame! If you don’t believe me, ask others, did anyone hear me try to trick others?”

When she and Su Jiameng spoke, their voices were low, and everyone else was engrossed in their own world, who would have the time to listen in on others’ conversations? Hence, she was emboldened, her expression even carried a hint of smug anticipation.

Beside the boy sat another silent student in the same Xilena First Affiliated School uniform; however, this boy was focused on a toy, without lifting his head, appearing to have ignored the events entirely.

”Since you claim I stole your child, can you tell me the child’s birth date, age, birth method, even the genetic sequence?” Su Jiameng looked at her ridiculous performance, losing interest, their tricks were just that shallow. She thought the other would get furious enough to snatch the child, if that happened, she wouldn’t mind sending that person to the morgue ahead of time!

The woman’s face froze. The boy playing with a toy heard Su Jiameng’s words, and couldn’t help but lift his head, suddenly finding those words familiar. But before he could recall where he’d seen Xiao Meng before, the woman disclosed previous information, ”As for the genetic sequence, such a long and complex thing, where could I remember it...”

”You can’t remember, but I can!” Su Jiameng slightly lifted her eyelid, a cold glint flashed in her eyes, ”Looks like this lady is eager to see the police, very well, let’s have them over, granting you fairness, and clearing my name... how about that?” (To be continued.
