Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Ruth looked helplessly at Oliva again before speaking softly, ”Oliva, Aislin... please invite the guests to join us outside!”

The entrance to the Sia Tower was already in sight... The hundred or so magicians standing at the entrance, and the three Ninth Ring Mages standing at the forefront, were clearly visible.

Though Ruth understood now that in the Sia Tower, it’s likely that any important matter requires three people to act together, no faction can represent the entire Magic Tower alone.

Yet when three Ninth Rings came out to greet him simultaneously, he had to accept this overly courteous gesture and reciprocate with his own politeness.

However, Ruth couldn’t help but feel a bit perplexed... In a Magic Tower, it’s simply impossible for an even number of Controllers to have a say.

Voting works swiftly only when there is an odd number.

An even number, ha ~ surely there will be someone constantly spinning like a top, turning at any time.

At that time, trying to reach a definite agreement would be too difficult... Even if realizing it’s not good, for the sake of more interests, some would pay too much of a price.

Ruth doesn’t think the one at the Sia Tower fails to see this clearly.

So... does it imply that soon a new Magic Tower will fall into the grasp of the Sia Tower?

Ruth knew that in the last century or even recently, the Tower of Dark Enigma, even if it was nominally arranged as part of Sia Tower’s fourth power circle, it was just in name.

A waiver vote is the only thing they could cast... Plus, there’s that guy from Kamente Tower!

No matter what thoughts he has privately right now, he will openly obey the orders of the Archmage who controls his soul.

As for the existence of Kamente Tower, the other Archmages of the Sia Tower must surely be aware.

Therefore, before accepting the Tower of Dark Enigma, Sia must have already reached a consensus.

And as long as Ruth and Nicholson have not lost their minds, surely they won’t meddle in Sia Tower’s mess with their unstable position and big internal loopholes.

So, only when everything is stable will there be other thoughts... And this prerequisite is that the people from the Tower of Dark Enigma genuinely want to join the Sia Tower.

Yet, even if thinking the Tower of Dark Enigma might have issues, Sia still wouldn’t ignore it... What if Ruth and they do settle down?

What if the people from Tower of Dark Enigma feel there’s no need to stir things up in the short term, thus honestly working diligently?

The continent’s Magic Towers are all watching the situation of the Tower of Dark Enigma!

For future strategies, Sia will also strive to give Tower of Dark Enigma a visible status.

Ruth had thought about these things before, but he really didn’t expect the Sia Tower to specifically mention this Colorful Clothes Camp to avoid conflicts between the two major factions, holding such a high status.

No matter what their actual status is, on the surface, it seemed like a tripod balance.

Ruth gently slid out of an airship behind several Eighth Ring Mages, his eyes passing a hint of dark light... Sia Tower always acts impeccably, ensuring their actions appear logical.

So, they must have prepared the next target to act on.

Therefore, Tower of Despair?

When Ruth thought about it, only his nearby neighbor has had more issues in recent years.

Recently, it seemed they even summoned the largest meteor shower in a century?

Tower of Despair indeed ranks among the top ten Magic Towers as the strongest, but not by much... For instance, the true strongest, Sia Tower, simply doesn’t participate in this competition.

How come they suddenly received such a great benefit?

In this world, the word ”special” is most prone to problems.

Ruth’s gaze quietly focused for a moment, then he smiled welcomingly at the three Sia Nine Rings who led the crowd out.

”Ruth, we have finally reached a shared space, it’s wonderful... I’m really very happy to see the addition of the Tower of Dark Enigma, especially you.” The handsome male mage in a long white robe, with hair flowing gracefully at calf-length, smiled brightly and poised, ”Previously, though we were under the same sky, different spaces always brought slight barriers.

As fellow array enthusiasts, I have many...”

”Personal matters shouldn’t be discussed now.” The Black Robe Ninth Ring with a serious face, short brown hair, and two slight stubbles above his lip coldly interrupted.

However, as he turned to exchange pleasantries with Ruth, the female mage in red robes quickly took over the conversation, ”Ah~ Ruth, it’s really been a long time~ You still seem so full of spirit~”

Ruth nodded unblinkingly at her, ”Mage Shirley Pett, thank you so much for remembering our last meeting, which was a century ago...”

Then he promptly turned to the Black Robe male mage glaring viciously at Shirley, ”Barnes Meka, we don’t need to be this formal~ Didn’t we just meet not long ago?”

”But Bijie Rosero, indeed... When we last met, we were both still Seven Rings!” Not giving anyone the chance to interject, Ruth swiftly turned to the white-robed mage, ”Besides, you didn’t venture out yourself, blame no one for that.”

Mage Rosero revealed a smug smile, ”Ha~ I do want to go out, but Lady Sia needs me here at the Magic Tower to deal with various trivial matters.

Although it’s not a very important duty... but...”

His exceptionally beautiful face suddenly glowed with a hint of enticing crimson, ”Of course, I’m willing to do anything for the lady, whether big or small.”

Ruth felt slightly suffocated, unsure how to deal with such... shameless words.

Is Rosero crazy?

Does he really need to declare his lover status to an outlander mage standing at the gate, about to enter the Sia Tower?

Just... Ruth absurdly thought... With his old face, there couldn’t possibly be such ridiculously extreme ideas!

Then he quickly realized that Rosero wouldn’t go as far as to view him as a threat... By the Ninth Ring, no matter how insane, one wouldn’t shame oneself.

That means... Ruth glanced slightly at ’Aislin’, or perhaps it’s connected to her?

The Black Robe Meka didn’t know the true exchange content between the two, but he clearly understood that Rosero’s words would lead to misjudgment about Sia Tower from Ruth, as well as those Seventh Ring and higher mages from Tower of Dark Enigma quietly standing behind Ruth... After all, the Eighth Ring white-robed Brandt Bield who arrived earlier should also have a somewhat... audacious personality.

However, he absolutely can’t let those across think the Sia Tower is filled with similar people.

Meka smiled and pointed at the white robe still standing next to Aislin, ”You also saw Bield.

Actually, there’s no specific attire requirement for us at Sia Tower.

But since they particularly favor white clothes, to avoid misunderstandings, we choose black and dark red here.

Dark red, ha~ you know, not everyone can pull off the style of our ’Black Artist’, so people lacking our flair generally use it for embellishment.

Thus, mages with black as the primary color generally are the more serious ones who follow behind our ’Black Artist’.

As for Pett and the likes who prefer studying magic, just to avoid misunderstandings, they steer clear of these two main colors.

Haha~ Not without benefits, our Sia Tower offers a very rich color variety.

Beneath the white tower, there’s a world full of vibrant colors, quite pleasing to the eye, isn’t it?”

Ruth could only fake a smile and nod, ”Ah... I understand.”

This intimidation meant... Tower of Dark Enigma people won’t carry the word ”black” in the future?

He coldly chuckled, ”Luckily, I’ve always preferred purple.”

”Oh~ haha~” Pett suddenly chuckled sweetly twice, ”Then you must come to me, most of the colors here at Sia Tower were concocted by my students and myself.

I have 15 kinds of purple!

Once you’re settled, I’ll bring the palette to visit you... But, are you planning to use it just for your students?

Or, for the people of the Tower of Dark Enigma...”

”At this moment, I won’t betray Nicholson, right?”

Ruth didn’t mention Kamente Tower, which nobody considered strange.
