Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hilbert and his two students quickly reached a consensus... at least in the ears of those who were listening, after encountering the inexplicable undead attacks, this newly promoted Seventh Order Mage finally determined his stance towards the Sia Tower.

Indeed, no one can prove that these undead attacks are related to the Sia Tower... but to launch a surprise attack directly on a team led by the Ninth Ring Archmage from the Tower of Dark Enigma on this road is abnormal.

It must be either related to the Sia Tower or to the enemies of the Sia Tower... but the common point is that the Sia Tower let this happen.

As a disciple of Archmage Ruth, the famously indifferent, somewhat irritable, and slightly capricious Gilbert, making such a decision now, is his calmest and most normal response.

In any case, it means closely following in Ruth’s footsteps, without establishing any relationships beyond ’familiarity’ with anyone outside of any faction.

Neither Ruth, who might be probing Gilbert’s intentions, nor Aislin, who is always obsessed with Gilbert, would be surprised by Gilbert’s approach... and both would be satisfied.

What Ruth has understood, Hill, who knows the Sia Tower better, certainly understands even more.

Whether it’s Fengo or Glaysia, practicing closed-door policies like that will only pique their interest even more.

Only when everything is based on normal logic and follows the popular choices of the wise ones will those two people’s eyes temporarily turn away from him.

Gilbert’s personality counts for nothing in front of those two Great Devils.

Or, unless there’s a particularly interesting soul that catches their attention, the most important thing for the two currently is the internal strife... Aislin’s existence is a possibility created by the Succubus Queen to counter this world, which quickly dropped to zero after she so easily followed Ruth back to the Sia Tower.

What could possibly happen at the Sia Tower that Glaysia couldn’t control?

Even though she constantly makes mistakes and stirs up trouble, as long as she doesn’t touch Asmodeus’s bottom line, she remains the adorable little Princess of Hell for the Lord of Hell: while working for her father, core power may be somewhat restricted, but major power... isn’t that their inherent privilege?

Even a jacket made of Black Heart Cotton may offer a bit of warmth at a certain moment.

Someone who has never worn normal clothes would certainly cherish this rare feeling, Black Heart Cotton is still cotton!

Hill’s feeling about Asmodeus’s attitude towards his daughter is just like this.

Those two from the AO family, compared to Glaysia, are like, well, intricately made down jackets, beautiful, warm but drafty.

This is the reason for Glaysia’s Princess-like audacity.

She knows very well, as long as she withdraws in time, Asmodeus will spare her.

Actually, from the beginning of the Lord of Hell’s behavior, it is apparent that, although he’s cunning, he’s more self-focused, inclined to indirect control over Hell’s various powers rather than complete mastery.

He’s planning, before his body recovers, to slowly take Hell back into his palm using gentler means... compared to the former Lord of Hell’s terrifying reign, Asmodeus’s layer upon layer of networks beneath the surface are actually more suitable for the Hell Devils.

Therefore, in fact, the middle and lower levels, and even most of the high-level devils are more willing to follow Asmodeus.

Only the lords of each layer and those Devils with the power to become lords are unwilling to accept this.

Although many died under the tyrant, as long as they could flatter and avoid the tyrant’s taboos, they actually lived easier than under Asmodeus’s meticulous monarchy.

Sadly, they did not cherish the chance given by the former Battle Angel leader, the plotter Asmodeus... Regardless of what the Lord of Hell intended initially, he has honored the promise made to the native Great Devils when he first entered Hell.

Glaysia, as the connection point between Asmodeus and Hell, naturally possesses an inherent advantage.

Bisozeya... hmm?

Hill suddenly frowned: Does Glaysia really want Bisozeya resurrected in the same form?

She would not hope Bisozeya resurrects, but Glaysia also knows clearly, after Asmodeus let her make such a mess, and still let her command a layer of Hell... even if it’s the weakest plane of Hell... is the reason.

After swearing at the Hell Core to form a permanent alliance in the form of marriage with Asmodeus, Bisozeya became the core linking the Battle Angels and Hell Consciousness.

While Glaysia can only be considered an important connection point.

If Bisozeya resurrects again, especially after giving birth to more children with Asmodeus, then Glaysia will no longer be the indispensable presence.

Asmodeus could entirely turn his attention to the harm of Black Heart Cotton after losing his remaining affection, and utterly abandon her... though not to the extent of fire burning or floods, but throwing her into the warehouse never to see daylight again, isn’t impossible either.

If an ordinary daughter might hold back because of past maternal love... Glaysia is guaranteed to make a fierce move.

Hill always felt that when Asmodeus and Bisozeya first united, neither probably thought of truly living together, both were full of schemes towards each other, thus their offspring Glaysia inherited Asmodeus’s cunning and Bisozeya’s cold-heartedness.

Except for the joys brought by lust, Glaysia seems to have no other feelings.

Hill always felt that she was constantly caught in the pursuit and cycle of emotions because it was the only source of her happiness.

The Lord of Hell probably sensed this as well, and thus helplessly transformed her into the Succubus Queen. At least after becoming that thing, she could obtain more direct happiness... although the duration was very short.

It wouldn’t be like before, being deceived by some false affection for a thousand years.

Now, no matter how crazy Glaysia acts, she actually knows very well what’s going on inside.

Asmodeus, born a Battle Angel, actually has a bit of a cleanliness obsession. His feelings are very indifferent, and his desires are not high. He truly cannot understand the type of creatures like Devils who live by devouring desires. Once they possess a certain desire, they become completely immersed in it, unable to escape and unwilling to escape.

If Asmodeus had more children, the amount of emotion he already feels indifferent about would naturally be divided even more... He cannot increase his love for his children; he can only split the same love.

Although, as a Battle Angel, Asmodeus could almost be called a Mechanical Angel, from his past various behaviors, the Lord of Hell was actually the creature with the most emotions in Hell.

Like his group of Battle Angels, although they act recklessly and respond cruelly and coldly... But being capricious is also a kind of emotion! Even in their fall, they possess all emotions; no matter how indifferent, emotions are still present.

There is a reason why the Great Devils hate these Hell Angels.

Pure Hell creatures only awaken hatred and jealousy the quickest... Yes, they even need to grow their negative emotions to a certain extent before they can have them.

Thinking about this, Hill was filled with doubt about Glaysia’s intention in messing with the undead creatures... Considering her extensive experience in making mistakes over the years, this Princess of Hell probably knows where the taboos of the Styx River lie.

What exactly is the hidden motive beneath her joyful way of playing life?

Though she long understood what Devils were like as creatures, thinking that Glaysia’s true intent might be to somehow intervene in her own mother’s resurrection made Hill furrow her brows fiercely.

Indeed, he had seen many cruel and cold things, but every time he encountered them, he still felt a visceral aversion.

As for what result Glaysia ultimately wanted to achieve... Hill temporarily decided not to consider it.

He was very aware that the little understanding he had of Hell creatures was not enough to allow him to grasp such deep matters.

Rather than conjuring up a superficial answer, it was better to wait on the sidelines.

What he wanted to know more now was whether Asmodeus knew what his Black Heart Cotton daughter was up to again.

No matter how Hill thinks about it, he just couldn’t believe the Lord of Hell had bagged his girl so many times without knowing what Glaysia’s true nature was.

So, was the intervention from the Styx River always within his calculations?

Hill clenched his fist suddenly: Damn it! Round and round and it’s always full of fog!

He couldn’t help but glance at Russell: If it wasn’t for his appearance, would Glaysia, disguised as Aislin, have discovered this child?

If Gilbert really couldn’t hold on, he would certainly choose to entrust Gilbert to a capable senior brother or sister.

Yes, not out of conscience, but out of capability.

After all, Russell’s aptitude, whether Gilbert himself realized it or not, required a strong teacher for protection.

The one most likely to take in Russell is Oliva.

Then, when using the Hainarson Family as bait, Aislin wouldn’t be held back because of it.

Because she knew very well that Oliva wouldn’t care or mind these matters.

As for Russell’s feelings... Aislin would just think that being able to contribute to the Magic Tower was Russell’s honor.

What could Russell do?

With his personality, bearing humiliation and waiting for the right moment was the inevitable choice.

Russell was the outstanding apprentice in the Hainarson dormitory, studying art courses like painting and music from a young age, with the noble etiquette demeanor quite evident in him... still a beautiful boy who had become melancholy and could no longer smile.

Aislin happened to be a love-centered person and was skilled at cleverly taking and commanding.

Hill didn’t even need to think to predict what would happen.

Fortunately, he came... MD, it was still a no-romance story suitable for his disposition.
