Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1738: Chapter 315: Hill Prepares Souvenirs

Once Aesces completely settled down, the Ismael Family gradually faded into silence.

Hill sneered as he glanced over there.

He knew that the reason those little Ismaels could reach his territory without being called back was that the Great Sage secretly wanted to test who held a higher position in Aesces’s heart, him or Hill.

Initially, Aesces didn’t come out to sternly stop him, and he might still have had some luck. But when his children were seriously injured, he figured out a bit that the reason Aesces didn’t interfere was that there was simply no need.

The Ismael Family didn’t even have the qualification to catch the attention of that Archmage from the opposite side.

So, during this period, those little ones from the Ismael Family were all honestly confined within that valley basin.

And Ismael himself now focused on regaining the favor of Aesces... The Great Sage who played too recklessly finally realized he had overstepped his bounds.

Although the love of the Deities is a heavy happiness, it even makes one feel burdened... But truly giving it up, no one would be willing.

Hill sensed this inclination, which is why he brought it up with Aesces again. Otherwise, in the stony head’s mind, these were all past matters, and he wouldn’t voluntarily bring them up again with that Great Sage Ismael.

Yet Hill also believed that Ismael must feel it was because he played too fancifully this time, which made the World Master unsatisfied. He would surely speak up, painting himself as a pitiful little white flower.

Of course, Aesces wouldn’t be confused by these external emotions, but he might blurt out impatiently that ”you won’t be mine in the future anyway, no need to report these mental journeys.”

But all the Styx wants are the dead.

While Ismael is still alive, he still belongs to Aesces... Once he really stirs up trouble, the responsibility is still on Aesces himself.

Under normal circumstances, Hill wouldn’t pay much attention to this.

But... now, both the Bottomless Abyss and the nine layers of hell are watching this world!

Especially hell, Aesces is naturally an intriguing place for the Devils... Finding loopholes in extreme order and making collections out of souls tinted with various desires is their favorite way to pass the time.

Not to mention, there are those Greek fools who escaped from hell here as well.

The Dukes of Demons, who are currently trying to prevent Asmodier’s gaze from focusing on them, would certainly be willing to serve him by sending a few more back for him to devour.

Hmm?

Hill suddenly realized something.

Did Asmodeus, who failed to devour Azuth, have an inherent need to devour something in the future?

After all, he was once an angel and naturally understood the use of Divinity.

Although Azuth’s Divine Power isn’t particularly strong, his Divinity just fits some attributes and rules of the Lord of Hell.

But if several of these Greek primitive deities were devoured, it could achieve a similar effect.

The former Asmodeus, who failed to completely control the nine layers of hell, hadn’t considered it in this regard... He only needed the first taste of sweetness.

Once he tastes it, he will naturally start to grab more delicious food in the future.

The Greek Gods, scattered across the Multiverse in the Evil Faction, are naturally the easiest targets.

Then Hill turned to look at the giant screen displaying desert scenery... To the Lord of Hell, Eosca should be one of the finest delicacies.

If the Lord of Hell were to obtain the Divinity of the Dimensional Gate... Hill blinked, estimating that Eosca’s little life might be preserved in the future.

Of course, as long as he doesn’t encounter any accidents, replacing Gaia and the others, becoming the first course sent into hell.

Hill thought it over and figured that Eosca hadn’t offended him to such an extent, so he quickly dismissed the thought.

He was still more bothered by those Greeks, definitely hoping that nothing unexpected would happen.

The Abyss has Rose, hell has the Devil King, both glaring upward waiting for them to fall into their jaws, that’s the best ending.

Hill couldn’t help but lower his head and chuckle... Indeed, he still couldn’t resist seeing Space and William as the same Faction.

Even if the Greek Gods pose very little threat to Teraxil, he still couldn’t help but bear hostility... He had to recall that, in the past, whenever he thought of the Greek Gods, he merely considered them too absurd and couldn’t be bothered.

For Hill, the real enemy is actually only the Chief Orc God Gewoosh.

And not to the extent of an endless war.

As for hell and the Abyss, they’re naturally antagonistic existences. When they meet, it’s only to suppress each other for certain unavoidable reasons. Otherwise, of course, they’re going to fight directly.

This isn’t something Hill can decide.

It’s just that demons would naturally want to kill him and sacrifice him to the Abyssal Will... Of course, this must be done out of the sight of the World Tree.

So Hill has always been careful only to avoid getting pulled into the deepest layers of hell or the Abyss.

As for the devil... Hill’s soul, filled with a natural aura, is the greatest temptation for them as soon as it appears.

However, they won’t use coercive methods, they will only try to make Hill fall on his own.

But Hill’s personality, which seems gentle, and often even a bit weak, is actually such that if there’s genuinely someone with obvious hostility towards him, he would rather take a risk, even at a great cost, to eliminate the enemy at the earliest stage.

Even if they can’t be killed, he would make them dare not come again.

The freedom he later enjoyed in Toril was all won by his own hands.

Glancing once more at the now silent Ring Mountain, Hill smirked slightly... He certainly knew that his dislike for Ismael was heavily tinged with the prejudices of his past self.

Yet he was very willing to maintain this capriciousness.

He is not the Lord of Justice, right?

Hill looked up at the sky... Compared to him, William, who should loathe those Ismael folks even more, is probably lying in Shaer’s arms seeking comfort right now!

Hmph~

Thinking about this, it suddenly seemed that William was a bit more detestable!

Although Hill didn’t want those sweet futures, seeing others have them, especially people he knows well, why does it just feel so irritating!

-----------------

No matter what Hill thought, anyway, the sweet little couple in the desert soon completed their most important mission... giving off light and heat for the proliferation and survival of their race.

Of course, after some day, that young master suddenly lost interest in the beautiful Luciella, and it’s understandable if he locked himself alone within his bedroom, unwilling to meet anyone.

After all, what needed to be done was done, and with Gaia’s divinity, naturally, she no longer needed that paternal body.

Ah, perhaps if that young master starved himself to death, it would meet her needs even better.

Unfortunately, Gaia didn’t get her wish; young master, after all, is a descendant of the Ismael Family. His luck might not be good, but at least he wouldn’t lack storage tools at hand.

Before he knew he was heading to the desert, he had already prepared enough food and water for several years.

Moreover, even if he consumed it all, he could still use spells, right?

At most, the things he made wouldn’t taste good, but he wouldn’t starve himself to death.

Especially with a certain Spider Queen who liked to play revenge games whispering in his ear, he would take good care of himself all the more.

After Rose confirmed who Gaia wanted to resurrect, she would certainly find ways to keep an influencing factor on Kloster within her control... The young master isn’t Uloster, Gaia and Kloster can’t find an excuse about him being oppressed into rebellion.

Patricide, even for deities, requires a justifiable reason.

Otherwise, those unfortunate ones like Athena would have teamed up against Zeus long ago... The fact they all couldn’t cross the line with their experiences shows how difficult it is.

Uloster suffered the most because, back then, he lacked any intellect, acting entirely on instinct, allowing Gaia to seize control of the narrative.

And Kloster met such an end precisely because he suffered a counterattack by the laws... Uranus was able to regain his sanity in the final moments of being killed, issuing one last curse, clearly because the world’s rules took action.

The Greek Gods were wrong from the start, so everything thereafter was left with only the words ’absurdity’.

In contrast, Rose understood these inexplicable natural laws very well... She studied them thoroughly to deal with Coron.

Back when wanting to kill Coron, Rose sought ways to leverage an accident... manipulating the arrow Elisu aimed at the Orc Deity.

It was only an accident, especially one coming from his deeply trusted daughter, that could severely injure Coron, whose divinity was as a Protector.

It was only a Dark Maiden, with such pure, truly Holy Mother nature, who could, after nearly being used by her mother to kill her biological father, still strive to save her mother’s soul and retrieve her brother who was deceived into being a fool.

So while Hill didn’t dislike Elisu, he definitely didn’t want to interact with her... Talking with her is worse than chatting with Lansendel.

A true Holy Mother is certainly far superior to a fake one, but also not understandable to a normal person.

It’s astonishing that such a hellish place as Toril could produce two, and from different God Systems... This refers to the Goddess of the Spring from Toril’s Natural Divine System, known for peace.

Though Celene is known as a Holy Mother, she actually hasn’t done any good deeds.

Hill idly pulled out a stack of Olayseyth Steel plates and began slowly twisting wires.

”Sir, what are you doing?” List, who had been keeping silent and trying to sort out the mess Hill made in the Magic Tower, couldn’t help but ask.

He really couldn’t understand why Hill would be bored to this extent.

”Ah~ I was thinking about Teraxil~” Hill replied with a mischievous smile, ”So, I must start preparing a gift!”
