I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 760: Chapter 34: Crushing Victory

Baptista is seen as Chen Zhong’s ”replacement.”

After Pellegrini took over Malaga, the first thing he did was to bring in the Brazilian midfielder who had once dominated in La Liga.

He has a physique similar to Vieira, capable in physical confrontations, and possessed a famous Heavy Cannon in the past. At Malaga, he indeed showed some of what Pellegrini expected.

It can be said that Malaga’s current achievements owe much to Baptista, but it’s also because of him that Malaga has only achieved so much.

Baptista, after all, is not Chen Zhong. He is effective when in favorable conditions, but when the situation is stalemated or adverse, he may not be very useful, even being the weak point exploited by the opponent.

”The players of both teams are entering the field.”

”We can see them during the hugging phase.”

”Baptista and Chen Zhong have been hugging for a while.”

”The two were once teammates and surely have many things to share now.”

Real Madrid gained the kickoff. While the players were hugging and shaking hands, Baptista grabbed Chen Zhong’s palm, then hugged tightly, whispering in Chen Zhong’s ear: ”I no longer envy you; I will win this match!”

After Chen Zhong was moved to midfield, Baptista’s role became Chen Zhong’s ”replacement.” Although their relationship was good at that time, privately, Baptista still envied Chen Zhong.

This match is very important for him personally and for the team’s coach, Pellegrini; they both have people they need to defeat to prove themselves.

I...

Will not be inferior to him!

Flames burned in Baptista’s eyes; he felt he was in excellent form today!

Compared to Baptista, Chen Zhong had little feelings about this. He just chuckled lightly, greeted his teammates, and stood with them, as if Baptista were inconsequential.

Real Madrid is determined to win this match. Mourinho provoked Malaga before the game and even shouted in front of the players to claim the 3 points this time.

In fact, from the beginning of the match, Real Madrid firmly controlled the game. From the first whistle, the team held the ball tightly under their feet.

”The ball control of Real Madrid!”

”They firmly control the ball at their feet.”

”Malaga players try to intercept.”

The match has been going on for 5 minutes, but Malaga hasn’t even touched the ball once.

Pellegrini looked somewhat grim, glancing at the key figure in the Real Madrid team, Chen Zhong.

It is because of Chen Zhong’s presence that Real Madrid can manage the ball and distribute and pass so naturally, leading to Malaga not having any chance to touch the ball for five minutes.

This is quite a long time, significantly impacting Malaga players’ confidence.

And when Malaga becomes somewhat impatient, it’s Real Madrid’s opportunity.

”The match has gone past 6 minutes.”

”Malaga still...”

”Chen Zhong!”

”Good pass!”

”Accurately to Kaka!”

”Kaka is moving forward, kicks!”

”The shot from the edge outside the right wing of the penalty area!”

Malaga became a little restless, Chen Zhong keenly sensed this and then slipped the ball out, accurately reaching the advancing Kaka.

Benzema attracted the attention of Malaga’s defense, creating an opportunity for Kaka.

Kaka got the ball, dribbling it horizontally, decisively aiming for the far corner with a precise arc shot from the outside edge of the penalty area.

The ball drew a beautiful arc, sailing over the defenders and beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.

At Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the home fans abruptly stood up, watching Kaka, with arms pointing to the sky in celebration, filled with joy.

On the sideline, Mourinho and Pellegrini displayed two completely different expressions.

”Kaka!”

”Chen Zhong’s assist!”

”Kaka’s shot!”

”Just the 6th minute, Kaka scored to give the team the lead!”

”1:0”

Kaka pointed his fingers to the sky, thanking God, then approached the corner flagpole, punching the air in celebration, as if rediscovering the long-lost thrill.

Behind him, Chen Zhong also ran over and enveloped Kaka in a hug.

The other players also gathered around, forming a group celebrating Kaka’s goal.

Real Madrid’s front has three Ballon d’Or winners. Besides the consistently underperforming center forward, Kaka was criticized by many fans for his stats, with some even calling him ”the weakest Ballon d’Or.”

Now, with consecutive goals, Kaka is proving his strength.

Telling those watching to shut their mouths!

Pellegrini was shouting players’ names on the sidelines, hoping that they could stabilize temporarily and not let Real Madrid score again in the short term.

But Malaga’s fundamental skill level remains evident.

Moreover, Baptista is not adept at playing when the game is unfavorable.

In the 11th minute, Real Madrid broke the silence again...

”Real Madrid’s attack.”

”Chen Zhong flicks a pass to Benzema!”

”Benzema stops the ball in the penalty box, getting knocked to the ground.”

”The referee does not react.”
