I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 757: Chapter 33: The Ex

Chen Zhong spread his arms, enjoying the cheers from the fans.

He appeared where he was most needed, delivering a decisive blow to end the match.

And after Chen Zhong scored this goal, Deportivo La Coruña completely lost their fighting spirit, and Real Madrid eventually shut out Deportivo La Coruña with a 2-0 victory over their opponents.

”He...” Cristiano Ronaldo looked at Chen Zhong with a hesitant expression. The Portuguese had been inwardly mocking when Di Maria missed his shot, deciding to become an emotionless terminator in the future.

But upon seeing Chen Zhong appear in that position, ending the match, his entire demeanor suddenly became clear-eyed.

Regarding the match against Deportivo La Coruña, Mourinho didn’t talk much, as a finished match was no longer important. People’s attention was on the next league match, where Real Madrid would face Malaga.

The coach of Malaga is former Real Madrid coach Pellegrini. From an honors perspective, he did well last season, leading the team to the Champions League semifinals and winning the league and King’s Cup championships.

But from a tactical perspective, his use of Chen Zhong, in-game management, and tactics did not suit Real Madrid.

So Pellegrini left, and Mourinho arrived.

In this match against Real Madrid, Pellegrini also desires victory because, while helping Malaga gain points, he wants to prove to the Real Madrid higher-ups that dismissing him was a mistake.

Meanwhile, current Real Madrid coach Mourinho’s intentions are quite the opposite. He wants to prove that Real Madrid replacing Pellegrini with him was the right decision.

Both are filled with a desire for victory, and the fans are eager to see the showdown between the two.

For those who enjoy comparisons and view this match as a direct conversation between the two coaches, Mourinho has already responded at the pre-match press conference, with the Portuguese’s comments adding tension to the atmosphere.

The media is also sparing no effort in stirring up drama, with Marca featuring both Mourinho’s and Pellegrini’s photos on the cover with the striking words ”Treble and Double,” undoubtedly setting the stage for Mourinho to defend his coaching reputation.

But regardless of how the coaches strategize and scheme, the real contest takes place on the field.

This season, Real Madrid has won all their home matches, while Malaga was at the bottom of the La Liga standings before the last round.

Additionally, Malaga has never won at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, and even a draw dates back to 2001.

On the surface, due to the significant strength gap between the two teams and Real Madrid’s overwhelming historical advantage in head-to-head encounters, it is hard for Malaga to cause an upset at the Bernabeu.

However, Pellegrini knows Real Madrid well, and Malaga, having just defeated Almeria, is riding a wave of high morale and will not allow Real Madrid to easily take away 3 points.

To resolve the match quickly, Mourinho decided to field a highly aggressive starting lineup. During this week’s training, Mourinho experimented with a tactical setup where Benzema and Adebayor both started.

In midfield, he utilized a double midfield configuration with Chen Zhong and Alonso.

When facing Malaga, the possibility of Real Madrid using two forwards cannot be ruled out.

On Malaga’s side, apart from captain Jesus Gamez, who is suspended, Baptista and other players are available for the match. This season at Malaga, Baptista has taken on the role Chen Zhong had at Real Madrid last season.

Under Pellegrini, Baptista seems to have returned to the season when he claimed the La Liga Silver Boot.

...

People can understand the competitive relationship between the two, but comments by Real Madrid coach Mourinho have once again sparked controversy.

In his speech, he belittled former Real Madrid coach Pellegrini and his managed Malaga team, criticized those who questioned his coaching methods, and complained that Real Madrid’s management and players didn’t support his public criticism of referees and the scheduling as unfair.

”It’s ridiculous!” Real Madrid players exclaimed yesterday at noon.

Through Twitter or radio broadcasts, Real Madrid players listened in shock to Mourinho’s comments at the press conference.

In this press conference, the Portuguese once again attacked the individuals who set the match schedules, claiming the schedules favored Barcelona.

Meanwhile, he also expressed disdain for former Real Madrid coach Pellegrini and his current Malaga team. Not only that, Mourinho also labeled Real Madrid as a poorly run, uncoordinated club, and alleged that his players weren’t fully committed to his so-called ”media strategy.”

Upon hearing Mourinho’s statements in the locker room, Chen Zhong also showed a shocked expression and didn’t immediately stop the surprised Real Madrid players.

”What does he mean?” Ramos was the first to make an impatient remark. His relationship with Mourinho wasn’t great to begin with: ”Let him go eat shit!”

Casillas glanced at Ramos with a peculiar look, saying nothing, but his body language clearly indicated he was amused by someone berating Mourinho.
