I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 501: Chapter 6: The Battle That Made a Name

”Another classic episode of hunting for the mole.”

”Why does Mourinho always have to find a mole wherever he goes?”

”Mourinho and the Real Madrid locker room, it’s really something to look forward to!”

”But Real Madrid’s locker room now has Chen! It’s not the same Real Madrid as before.”

”Do you remember Pellegrini? Recently, someone leaked that back then Chen Zhong led the players to rebel because Pellegrini positioned Chen far from the goal.”

The incident of Mourinho losing his temper in the locker room was soon published by the external media, which made Mourinho very annoyed indeed. He didn’t expect that even after his warning, someone would still do such a thing.

The external fans were also very curious about how Mourinho would handle this matter.

It’s known that Mourinho is already gradually gaining the nickname ”Mourinho’s Three Years.”

When Mourinho appeared on the training field, his face was terrifyingly grim. This was no simple leak; it was someone challenging his authority as the team’s head coach.

Was it a player?

A staff member?

Or did those all-pervasive journalists dig it up themselves?

Mourinho didn’t know, so for now, he could only endure it all.

On the training field, the players looked at Mourinho, who appeared unhappy. They originally thought they would face his scolding again, but this time, Mourinho didn’t say much and just proceeded with the usual training.

This scene also made many players change their perspective on Mourinho.

After all, who wants to get ”yelled at like a kid” by the ”boss” every day at ”work”?

Chen Zhong noticed this, and after training, he gathered the players in the locker room together.

After yesterday, Chen Zhong didn’t have a small meeting with the players, because he didn’t believe the news was leaked by the team members. In the past, when he called his friends before a match, he never talked about the starting lineup or tactical strategies.

That’s the most basic ”conduct.”

But even though he thought this, he still had to put the ”ugly words” up front.

Mourinho also noticed Chen Zhong gathering the players. If there was one person in the entire team Mourinho trusted the most, it would definitely be Chen.

Because Chen is a straightforward person.

If there was anyone Mourinho suspected the most.

It would undoubtedly be the newly joined Big Eyes.

After all, he dared to throw his jersey in his face from the first leg of the Super Cup; it’s normal if he momentarily broke down and became a traitor.

This thought also contained Mourinho’s trust in Chen Zhong. He believed Chen Zhong could manage the locker room.

...

”Have you all seen this morning’s news?”

The players formed a circle looking at Chen Zhong standing in the center.

Chen Zhong glanced around, vaguely able to discern the current cliques within the team.

Although on the surface everyone was a ”Chen’s party member,” each had their own closer group of people.

For example, the young players from Castilla stood more closely together; Negredo and Granero seemed to be the leaders, followed by the Spain National Team players like Casillas, Ramos, and Alonso, then the Brazil Team’s Kaka and Marcelo.

The Brazilian side and the Portuguese were mixed, and the Portuguese side also included players under Mendes, like Di Maria and Cavaleiro. At the same time, Mourinho’s selected players also stuck closer to this group, like Khedira and the reluctant Big Eyes.

This was a significant number, but the leaders of this group, Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo had a very good relationship with Chen Zhong.

”I don’t want it to be any one of us leaking these messages.”

”This is a new season, and each of us is ambitious, hoping to achieve something great.”

”The head coach has made his demands or rather, the discipline, known. I hope everyone can adhere to it and enforce it strictly.”

To become a Real Madrid player, one must have excellent talent, and most players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Pepe, are very disciplined and eager to win.

They all responded very positively to Chen Zhong’s words.

Big Eyes stood among the crowd like a ”lackey,” looking somewhat envious at Chen Zhong, wishing he could replace him.

Meanwhile, Casillas’s expression was somewhat unnatural, looking as if he had done something guilty.

Around 10 p.m., Real Madrid would face Sevilla in the second leg of the Super Cup at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, and two hours before the match, many fans were already gathering, holding various banners to support the team.

Outside Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Real Madrid fans gathered together discussing the upcoming match, speaking confidently about victory.

”I can understand his desire to give the young players experience.”

”But next time at least put Chen on the bench; that way, when things go wrong, he’ll always be there to step up.”

”Just like in the first season, when he made his debut diving header in the Spanish Super Cup with Sevilla as their opponent.”

It’s already Chen Zhong’s fourth season playing for Real Madrid, and in his first season, his breakthrough performance was in the Spanish Super Cup, with a diving header when their opponent was Sevilla.
