I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 522: Chapter 16: Competing Against Chen? (Part 2)

Maybe he’ll be directly sold by Real Madrid, and it was the season he returned that Baptista and Chen Zhong formed a good midfield combination, and last season, the two cooperated frequently.

In Baptista’s view, since he joined Real Madrid, he has always played supporting roles, but now he wants to see how strong the person who made him a supporting role is.

Seeing Baptista’s serious expression, Chen Zhong also gathered the smile on his face.

”Okay.”

”We see the players of both teams have already entered the field.”

”Malaga has won the kickoff right.”

”The camera captures the faces of Mourinho and Pellegrini on the sidelines.”

”Mourinho looks relatively relaxed, even smiling, but Pellegrini’s expression is a bit serious.”

”The home fans in the stands are loudly cheering for the team.”

”But the Real Madrid fans are not to be outdone either.”

”With a whistle from the referee.”

”Malaga’s players have kicked off.”

Pellegrini’s Malaga is very similar to last season’s Real Madrid, but Pellegrini also has a clever point. He knows Baptista has physique, strength, and long-range shooting but lacks the vision and big-picture view like Chen Zhong, so he hasn’t entrusted the midfield organization tasks to Baptista.

Salomo Rondon, a power center forward with a height of 190cm, plays the role of last season’s Real Madrid’s Negredo in the team.

His data in physical confrontation is outstanding. This player, who joined Malaga this season, is also highly valued by Pellegrini.

Rondon is gradually becoming a ”wonderkid” player in some football games, and his excellent physique and headers are truly astonishing.

With the support from Baptista coming up from the back, the two can play double threats, and Baptista can also try a long-range shot from outside the box.

When Malaga initiated an attack, Chen Zhong had keenly noticed Rondon’s provocative gaze.

For some reason, in the football world, players who have some confidence in their physical strength all believe they can topple Chen Zhong.

”Malaga’s attack.”

”The ball is passed to the wing.”

”Rondon raises his hand for the ball.”

”But Chen is right beside him!”

The commentator’s voice showed some surprise, and even Pellegrini on the sidelines was wearing a surprised expression.

Rondon was born in 1989, currently 21 years old, full of youth and vigor, while Chen Zhong is just 19 years old this year. But in terms of fame and salary, Chen Zhong far surpasses Rondon.

Now, Rondon sticks close to Chen Zhong asking for the ball, and in his heart, there is a kind of ”delusion,” which is to step on this younger brother’s head to make a name for himself!

Yes, someone did tell Rondon that Chen Zhong’s physical qualities are extremely outstanding.

For instance, Baptista.

On several occasions, he brought up this topic, but for Rondon, it was just Baptista sounding tough after being toppled by him.

An overrated ”beast.”

How strong can Chen Zhong be?

Today, I’m going to dunk over Chen Zhong’s head.

Rondon resolutely raised his arm, and when his teammate reached the designated position on the wing, he passed the ball to Rondon without any hesitation.

Since Chen Zhong stopped playing as a central defender, he rarely engages in physical battles with opposing players during the game. Most of the time, he looks for chances to position himself and crush those less physically endowed with his strong physique.

This inevitably makes people think that Chen Zhong bullies the weak and fears the strong.

Malaga had a large-scale player reshuffle this season. Plus, they were a newly promoted team.

Compared to Chen Zhong, they are more willing to believe in their own Rondon since they have experienced Rondon’s physique firsthand.

Chen Zhong sensed Rondon’s intentions. He looked at this similarly built, short-haired, dark-skinned, and very robust-looking guy, and couldn’t help but find it amusing.

The two quickly judged the landing point of the ball. At this point, it was entirely a physical contest.

Rondon was the first to make contact, exerting his strength, trying to shove Chen Zhong away to take the advantageous position. Initially, he aimed to directly knock Chen Zhong down, but after feeling the pressure upon contact, he changed his strategy, trying to slightly push Chen Zhong aside before heading the ball away.

”The two are engaging in a physical confrontation.”

”Rondon was the first to make contact.”

”He’s attempting to push Chen Zhong away.”

”But Chen Zhong is leaning sideways against Rondon.”

”It seems he looks quite relaxed.”

Feeling the intensity on him, Chen Zhong first used a bow step to stabilize his position, then, as the ball began to descend, he leaned forward following Rondon’s strength before suddenly applying force, pressing toward Rondon’s position.

Rondon first leaned forward a bit, and before he could completely steady his balance, he was directly pressed by Chen Zhong into losing his balance.

At Malaga’s home stadium, Rose Garden Stadium, Malaga fans watched as their pride, the supposedly toughest man, was easily pushed back to the ground by Chen Zhong.

”Chen Zhong gained control of the ball!”

”Real Madrid’s counterattack.”

”Chen Zhong passed the ball to Kaka.”

”Kaka dribbled rapidly along the wing.”

”A very beautiful control of the ball, watching Kaka dribble is simply a pleasure.”

”Kaka shoots!”

”Blocked by the defense.”

”A good opportunity.”

”But unfortunately!”

The Real Madrid fans in the stands felt a bit regretful, while Di Maria on the substitutes’ bench looked longingly at Kaka, wondering if he could have done better from that position.

Mourinho also raised an eyebrow, looking at Pellegrini with a smile full of triumph.

For Mourinho, what he hates most is the team that parks the bus at home.

He prefers to play against opponents who open up, allowing for direct counterattacks.

Pellegrini taking the initiative to attack is a good thing, and as long as the team scores a goal, the pace of the match won’t be under Pellegrini’s control anymore.

”Real Madrid’s free kick.”

”Alonso stands at the corner flag.”

”Malaga’s penalty area is crowded with people.”

Real Madrid’s set-piece tactics have scored quite a few goals this season, and Malaga took it very seriously.

Rondon took the initiative to come beside Chen Zhong, Chen Zhong turned and glanced, saw the defiance in Rondon’s eyes, obviously thinking he hadn’t been defeated head-on earlier.

It was purely that Chen Zhong pulled some tricks and used some minor tactics!

”This time you better not think you’ll get away easily.”

”I’ll be keeping an eye on you!” Rondon muttered, while his hand also wrapped around Chen Zhong.

”Then you’d better keep a close watch, and don’t take a spill.”

Chen Zhong looked at Rondon and couldn’t help reminiscing about his youth team days when he loved provoking those fiery young players, making them lock horns with him for the entire match.

Thinking about it, Rondon seems to be only 21 years old, at a fiery age, unafraid of anything.

The two were shoving in the penalty area, to such an extent that even the referee came over to intervene, hoping they would tone it down a bit.

However, Rondon and Chen Zhong didn’t seem to heed this.

The referee didn’t say much since the two didn’t make any excessive moves.

”Real Madrid’s corner kick.”

”Malaga uses Rondon to mark Chen Zhong.”

”Chen Zhong also raises his arm.”

”Is he actively asking for the ball?”

”Or is it just a feint?”

Seeing Chen Zhong’s action, Rondon just felt like he was about to explode with anger.

Just a moment ago, he had openly demanded the ball by raising his hand in front of Chen Zhong, and now?

Chen Zhong raised his hand for the ball right in front of him?

What does it mean?

I’m just asking, what does it mean?
