I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 540: Chapter 25: Banners and Fortune

This is his advantage.

Of course, some people express disagreement, as sometimes the Portuguese’s wild shots are indeed numerous.

Now, because of scoring four goals in one game, Cristiano Ronaldo has reached the top of the scorer’s list, having scored 10 goals with only 8 rounds of matches played.

Besides scoring the most goals, he is also the player with the most shots and the most involved in offense in La Liga.

Marca praised C. Ronaldo, calling him ”a goal-producing machine,” already completing 195 goals in his career.

And in an interview, Real Madrid’s president Florentino said, ”Chen is the spiritual banner of Real Madrid, while Cristiano Ronaldo is the team’s precious asset.”

This wording indicates the current situation within the Real Madrid Team.

Previously, no one could compare with Chen Zhong; when Real Madrid’s top management talked about Chen Zhong, it was only to praise him and express expectations for his future.

But now, Florentino calls Chen Zhong ”a banner” and Cristiano Ronaldo ”an asset.”

For Real Madrid, for so many years, the term ”banner” has always been exclusively associated with Raul, synonymous with the captain. After Raul left, there was a period when there were high calls for Casillas to become captain.

But Casillas, due to his position and personality, found it difficult to become a true spiritual leader on the field.

After Chen Zhong returned, Real Madrid quickly gave him a high salary, the number 10, and the captain’s armband.

Although Cristiano Ronaldo took over Raul’s number 7 jersey, leaving many people full of expectations for the future, under Chen Zhong’s performance, even though Cristiano Ronaldo could showcase his superb ability in some matches.

Yet he lacked team spirit, somewhat a ”lone wolf” in matches compared to Chen Zhong, obviously falling a bit short.

However, this season is different.

Players and coaches under Mendes came to Real Madrid, and under Mourinho’s coaching, Cristiano Ronaldo began to exhibit a collective spirit, gradually showing leadership qualities.

Some Madrid media praised that Cristiano Ronaldo is a typical Real Madrid player; he is fearless of danger, grows stronger with setbacks, and his lofty aspirations allow him to step up at crucial moments, traits that are in line with Real Madrid’s spirit.

Of course, this view was quickly refuted, as what the Portuguese does, Chen Zhong can also do, and even better in some aspects, but what Chen Zhong accomplishes, the Portuguese might not necessarily.

This debate has also recently attracted attention from fans.

Chen Zhong rarely participates in TV shows, except for some advertising shoots and product promotions, but Cristiano Ronaldo eagerly appears in the media.

Some believe that such a person is the leader Real Madrid needs.

Meanwhile, others think that Chen Zhong’s modesty and humility are the key to leading Real Madrid’s rise.

In the media, Cristiano Ronaldo appears somewhat high-spirited, and when faced with questions from reporters about who is the best player in the world.

Having recently scored four goals and reached a new milestone in his career in hot form, Cristiano Ronaldo unapologetically named himself.

From his demeanor, he seems convinced that he is the best player.

”Me.”

The Portuguese said with firm eyes: ”Of course, some might have different opinions.”

”But I will exert all my efforts to earn their recognition.”

”Through my performance, let them recognize.”

October is a wonderful month for the Portuguese; after the ”struggles” at the start of the season, he gradually found his form, he found a suitable method for dribbling past opponents. Last season, people talked about his rigidity, but it was not seen this season.

And at the end of the program, the Portuguese seriously said, ”I hope to win my second Ballon d’Or in my career, and of course, I will fully support Chen this year.”

”His performance last season deserved the Ballon d’Or.”

”But this season, I will give one hundred, two hundred percent effort for my second Ballon d’Or sprint.”

La Liga has reached its 10th round, in the 9th round Real Madrid easily defeated Hercules, and in the November Champions League group stage, Real Madrid once again pummeled Ousel, after defeating Ousel they will meet Milan again in the Champions League group stage.

The national derby between Real Madrid and Barcelona will take place in the 13th round, and by mid-October, fans were already discussing the national derby.

And entering November, people began analyzing who might actually win.

Real Madrid fans are very satisfied with Mourinho, and World Newspaper columnist Ruiz even specifically published an article titled: The Conqueror of Bernabeu—Mourinho.

In this article, Ruiz offers utmost praise, writing: I like to call Mourinho ”the Conqueror,” because I feel calling him a marshal is not fitting enough.

He is the strongest conqueror for he has conquered Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Real Madrid fans have extremely high demands, only extraordinary achievements can earn their appreciation and praise, but Mourinho has already achieved this, deeply entering the hearts of Real Madrid fans.

Mourinho is a representative figure in the changing era of football.

years ago, Di Stefano was a legend. But legendary figures change over time, now many former players have become well-known coaches like Ferguson and Guardiola.

As for Mourinho, not only does he have notable achievements, but he also has the potential to become a new legend for Real Madrid.

This Portuguese coach represents another philosophy of playing beautiful football, another way to mesmerize fans.

Nobody doubts the wonderful football style led by Aragon and Guardiola, their teams not only achieved huge success but also attracted countless fans worldwide.

But on the other hand, their teams sometimes seemed dull and tedious, the slow pace even making one yawn constantly.

And ”the Conqueror” Mourinho’s football is very direct, always launching attacks against opponents from the front, making Barcelona’s style seem somewhat outdated.

His team puts great pressure on opponents, suffocating them, fast runs and cooperation among attacking players create space, often resulting in goals after one or two passes.

This is a different style of football. I’m not saying this style is better, but it is more direct, more intense.

Many years later, Real Madrid president Florentino realized that to create a true ”Galaxy Battleship” team, you must first have a ”Galaxy Battleship” level coach.

With such a coach, team members become world-class stars under a unique football style.

Cristiano Ronaldo scoring 4 goals against Santander Athletic Team is the most vivid example.

I don’t want to rub salt into the wound of Santander Athletic’s coach Portugal, after all, he was once part of Real Madrid’s historical development.

During Calderon’s tenure as the club president, Portugal and others at Real Madrid went through a nightmare, those days are hard to recall.

At this moment, I also recall those friends who criticized me for criticizing Pellegrini. What do they have to say now?

The last thing I want to say is that ”the Conqueror” Mourinho should better utilize Chen.

He can exert more significant influence for the team.

Amidst such discussions, the Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid is about to begin.

People’s attention is focused on Cristiano Ronaldo’s four goals and Mourinho’s great achievements, thus overlooking this Atletico Madrid always overshadowed by Real Madrid.

Even domestically, when mentioning tonight’s match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

They say with disdainful words: ”Atletico Madrid? Just Real Madrid’s little brother! Easy to beat.”

”They even changed their coach.”

”Let me see what the name is?”

”Diego Simeone?”

”Never heard of him.”
