I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 547: Chapter 29: Heavy Cannon Blasts at You

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Under numerous gazes, the young genius goalkeeper moved.

Just like Khedira’s disdain for Aguero, thinking Chen Zhong could easily single-handedly defend Aguero, he could do it too.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who never felt inferior to anyone, didn’t take this young goalkeeper De Gea seriously either.

Chen Zhong can make you a butterfingers with a heavy cannon kick, then can you, De Gea, handle my powerful shot?

De Gea seemed to feel this provocation. He practiced day and night, and now, in his third season, he has become Atletico Madrid’s main goalkeeper.

But the once ”butterfingers” haunted him like a nightmare.

De Gea accurately judged Cristiano Ronaldo’s shooting direction, moved briefly for adjustment, then sat like Guanyin on a lotus, pressing the ball firmly under him with both hands.

The ball didn’t stir any ripple under those iron hands.

Cristiano Ronaldo was a bit surprised and began to properly appraise this genius goalkeeper, imagining that the other would provoke him after all it was indeed a ”full-force strike” from the Ballon d’Or winner C. Ronaldo.

However, De Gea did not look at C. Ronaldo, instead glancing at Chen Zhong who wanted to go for the rebound nearby.

Meanwhile, he provocatively raised his chin.

Seems to be saying, see? I’m no longer that butterfingers. Try another heavy cannon if you dare!

Watch if I can press it down or not, and that’s it.

Chen Zhong felt De Gea’s provocation, smiling and nodded in response, seemingly saying, ”Good fellow, you’re good, later I’ll see if you can withstand my heavy cannon.”

This scene left Cristiano Ronaldo extremely dissatisfied.

He felt like he somehow became a part of their play.

Watching this scene from not far away, Negredo showed a delighted smile.

Feeling my feelings?

Every time I see your ”close coordination,” I feel like I’m part of your play.

”Haha.” The smile on Chen Zhong’s face appeared particularly sincere, early on in the youth team, as a defensive player he often provoked others and made those young geniuses clash with him.

Later, when he joined the first team, because he was too young, he got provoked by others.

Ever since he firmly established himself in the first team, after passing through two or three seasons, such provocative incidents gradually became less, despite De Gea being slightly older than him, being kicked out as butterfingers by his heavy cannon once suffered quite some scrutiny, even his value dropped significantly.

Now?

You think you’re awakened?

De Gea’s provocative action was also captured by the cameras.

This sparked a lot of debate among people.

”De Gea is really steady!”

”No wonder he gradually secured the main goalkeeper position at Atletico Madrid.”

”C. Ronaldo’s shot was powerful and heavy, but he still pressed the ball firmly beneath him.”

”Remember the first season of De Gea at Atletico Madrid?”

”At that time, many thought this genius goalkeeper had unlimited potential.”

”Stepping up when the main goalkeeper was injured, delivering impressive performances.”

”As a result, Chen Zhong’s heavy cannon kick left De Gea heavily scrutinized.”

”That period even almost made him lose the main goalkeeper position.”

”There was even news saying De Gea’s psyche showed issues.”

”But today, we can feel that De Gea has emerged from the shadows.”

”Oh, he even proactively provoked Chen Zhong.”

”Seems like he’s facing the old shadows head-on.”

Diego Simeone watching De Gea’s actions from the sidelines showed a satisfied smile. For him, as long as one could win, any actions or behaviors on the field were acceptable.

This has brought both criticism and praise for him and his team. Some think his Atletico Madrid is iron-blooded, while others find it dirty, yet it’s undeniable that he has transformed Atletico Madrid from despair, gradually becoming a force not to be ignored in La Liga.

Mourinho meanwhile wore a surprised expression, noting the young goalkeeper, with a small smile on his face.

”The sky cleared, the rain stopped, and you think you’re all that again?”

He looked over at Chen Zhong on the sidelines, this young player entered his life’s highlight moments quite early, top salary, captain of a top club, supported by fans.

Sometimes he shows his temper, but more often he seems to suppress himself somewhat.

18-19 year-olds often get stuck on trivial matters.

Such things cannot be useful with more words, one needs to experience it themselves.

Now, Chen, someone is provoking you, how will you respond?

Consider the bigger picture?

Or strike back forcefully?

Atletico Madrid’s players also smiled upon seeing De Gea’s actions, especially Aguero, who was quite thrilled.

Once, when Aguero first emerged, the media compared him to Messi, but recently people rarely make such comparisons, more concerning their friendship instead.

Within this, one point is that when facing Chen Zhong, Messi could exert pressure, even surpass Chen Zhong under certain conditions, with each having their advantages.
