I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 506: Chapter 8: The Celebration (Part 2)

Last season, a three-month surgery completely resolved the issues with Kaka’s body.

It corrected misjudgments, prevented further deterioration, and identified the real cause of the problem.

Real Madrid’s provision of ”vacation” and ”tolerance” touched him deeply. Now, Kaka considers Real Madrid his second home, fully aware of the consequences if he neglected such an injury!

It would be like a tumor, eventually reaching a point where one can only wait for death!

Real Madrid fans in the stands were chanting Kaka’s name, and Kaka responded with a smile.

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium was filled with fervor. When Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, and Chen Zhong scored goals, fans felt they had a promising season ahead.

Mourinho was nodding and smiling on the sidelines, occasionally striking a ”cocky” pose.

Clearly, he was very satisfied with the players’ performance in this match.

Meanwhile, Alvarez looked ashen on the sidelines, having lost all vigor and means, knowing that the team and the championship were slipping away from him.

In the stands, Ozil’s face turned dark as he mumbled, ”If we had this lineup in the first match, I could have led the team to victory! Definitely!”

Now, he resembled a child sulking after being defeated in a game, watching others clear it out of frustration.

The gap between the two teams, from coaches to players, made the final result seemingly unspoken, as Real Madrid ultimately crushed Sevilla 5-0.

”The match has ended!”

”Mourinho has won his first championship as coach!”

”After 90 minutes of play.”

”Real Madrid defeated Sevilla 5-0.”

”Claiming the Spanish Super Cup title.”

”It’s their tenth time winning the championship.”

”The fourth time in the 21st century.”

”Chen Zhong being a key player in both finals where he started, scoring crucial goals for the team.”

”Chen Zhong now has three Spanish Super Cup titles.”

”During the 07-08 season, 08-09 season, and the 10-11 season.”

After the match, Real Madrid fans in the stands raised their arms and cheered while Sevilla supporters quietly left.

Next up was the championship award ceremony.

Real Madrid players were thanking the fans at the sidelines, even holding hands while sprinting.

Meanwhile, staff members began constructing the award podium.

At the sidelines, both teams’ coaches were being interviewed, with Alvarez looking listless, possibly facing the loss of his position after this match.

Mourinho appeared triumphant, and when asked about the team’s outstanding performance, he confidently said, ”I showed them the recent newspapers.”

”I told them, look, they think you won’t score.”

”In this match, the players told me through their actions, ’Coach, you’re wrong. We will.’”

Mourinho laughed like a child, speaking about himself and the players, but subtly hinting at his issues with the media.

During friendly matches, many media outlets claimed Mourinho had decreased Real Madrid’s attacking prowess. However, in this game, Real Madrid’s multiple scoring options and decisive counterattacks made everyone realize that even counterattacks can be ”art.”

The transition between calm and motion was truly beautiful.

Reporters also asked Mourinho about the team’s goals for the season, to which he gestured for them to listen to the fans chanting ”champion” from the stands.

He said, ”I’ve won the Triple Crown twice before.”

”Once with Porto, once with Inter Milan. I think it’s time for a third.”

”After all, it’s been several months.”

In football, there’s an achievement called the ”Triple Crown,” which refers to winning the domestic league title, major domestic cup competition, and Champions League in one season.

Achieving this is difficult, and so far, only three coaches have succeeded in football, all of whom are renowned coaches: Mourinho, Guardiola, Ferguson.

Apart from these three, no one else has achieved it.

Among them, Mourinho led two different teams to win twice, making him regarded by some fans as the world’s top coach.

...

The award podium was completed.

When the music began, fans in the stands shouted, ”Madrid! Madrid! Madrid!” singing the second version of ”Hala Madrid” revised in 2000, creating an epic atmosphere throughout Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, with ”Hala Madrid” signifying their anticipation and blessings for the new season.

Florentino smiled as he watched it all unfold, though his brow furrowed slightly hearing the fans singing.

He looked at the executives around him, saying, ”This song seems inconvenient for fans to sing together. Perhaps we should have a new song. By the way, how about Chen’s singing?”

The current Real Madrid anthem sounds grand and majestic but isn’t very friendly for singing, as not everyone is a musician.

Streamers fell from the sky, as Florentino watched the players lifting the trophy high, Santiago Bernabeu Stadium enveloped in joyful laughter, with chants of ”We are champions!”

Everyone’s eyes were filled with anticipation for the new season.

The Super Cup isn’t a weighty championship, but it does offer a good omen.

”Hala Madrid!”

People loudly shout this catchphrase, a slogan passed down over a century.

Only Merengue truly understand the significance of ”Hala Madrid,” which has become more than just a simple slogan through the long years.

”This is going to be a wonderful season.” Mourinho turned to Francisco and said, ”I have a very strong premonition that we’ll achieve everything we desire this season.”

Fire burned in Mourinho’s eyes. Defeating Barcelona, defeating Guardiola, leading Inter Milan to win the Triple Crown hadn’t satisfied him yet.

Now he aimed for La Liga, joining Real Madrid, using one victory after another to show Barcelona’s executives.

”I, Mourinho, am the strongest one!”

The next day, major media and newspapers reported Real Madrid’s championship win.

The man has arrived.

Real Madrid’s first crown.

Mourinho’s photograph appeared prominently in various newspapers, some even labeling him as the Nemesis of Barcelona, using a photo from the previous season when he eliminated Barcelona, full of provocative intent.

Barcelona quickly responded, saying, ”See, here’s why we didn’t choose him!”

Mourinho quite unapologetically retorted against Barcelona, saying, ”The league is about to begin.”

”This season, Barcelona still won’t be champions!”

”I’ll set a record-breaking score and have Real Madrid win the championship again.”

He further added, ”And of course, the Champions League.”

”I hope the team can advance further.”

These remarks stirred controversy. Fans who admired Mourinho thought he deserved the title of ”The Special One,” while those who disliked him saw him as recklessly outspoken.

Yet, Mourinho remained unfazed.

He was committed to fostering a sense of rivalry between the two teams.

Not just in the media but also in the locker room, hoping to establish opposing relations.

This gave some people a headache.
