I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 288: Chapter 2: Number 10! Number 7! Number 8! (Part 2)

”Chen Zhong.”

The two people shook hands to show goodwill. One was surrounded by a group, while the other had only Pepe at his side.

After greeting, C. Ronaldo’s gaze lingered on Kaka’s face for a moment, then swept over Marcelo, and finally nodded with a smile, ready to leave.

After a few steps, he sensed something was off.

He stopped, turned his head, and saw that Pepe, who had just been chatting and laughing with him, was now standing among Chen Zhong’s bunch.

C. Ronaldo: ???

Pepe: (*^▽^*)

What, bro? You’re not coming with me?

C. Ronaldo looked at Pepe, transmitting his doubts with his eyes, while Pepe looked at Marcelo gripping his hand, hesitated a bit, and then gave C. Ronaldo an apologetic look—no way, didn’t you see someone’s pulling me?

After pondering for a moment, C. Ronaldo turned around and left.

He realized that things seemed not quite as he had imagined.

In C. Ronaldo’s original vision, he was not supposed to get the number 7 jersey, since its owner was Raul.

But during contract negotiations, suddenly Real Madrid indicated he could wear the Manchester United’s number 7 jersey.

This surprised C. Ronaldo.

Seeing that Guti and Raul would have farewell ceremonies at the end of the month, C. Ronaldo couldn’t help but guess a fact.

Is Real Madrid, in its trough, going to take him as the team leader?

This is very possible!

After all, he is the Ballon d’Or winner, the best player in the world, and Real Madrid?

Last season’s Champions League still lingered at the round of 16, with no ”big bros” capable of dominating everything within the team. Although Kaka joined Real Madrid, he could absolutely ”win-win” with Kaka.

I will lead Real Madrid back to the pinnacle.

C. Ronaldo couldn’t help but have this thought.

The Netherlands gang is gone, local forces scattered, himself joining Real Madrid as the ”savior” and becoming the team leader—that’s only natural, right!

However, when he entered Sports City, from the underground garage, with his newly acquired Pepe, stepping into his ”dominant career,” taking the first handsome step.

Guess what!

Turned around, and my Pepe was gone!

We have the same agent, after all!

One side is bustling with noise, while the other stands solitary.

Could it be that all of Real Madrid is not paved for me?

Impossible, absolutely impossible!

That kid is not even... eighteen yet~

When I was his age, though I was the ”team pet,” the big bros in the national team even kicked the opponents for me, but... it wasn’t my turn to call the shots!

C. Ronaldo left with his head full of doubts, while Chen Zhong on this afternoon not only greeted the first-team teammates but also met with some newly joined youth team newcomers and some new transfers to Castilla in his dormitory.

”You are?”

”Joselu?” In Chen Zhong’s dormitory, Nacho, as the captain of Castilla, sat not far away. Kaka was on the balcony, seemingly talking to someone on the phone; Pepe and Marcelo were whispering to each other on the side, while Granero and Negredo were lying on his bed, taking a nap.

As for other players, they were out busied with affairs.

After all, his small room couldn’t hold that many people.

At this moment, standing in front of Chen Zhong was a tall man named Jose Luis San Martin Mato, or simply ”Joselu,” who had just transferred to Real Madrid this summer.

Chen Zhong noticed a detail: this man with the typical Spanish appearance had the Real Madrid badge on his phone case.

This indicated he might be a ”Madrid fan” dreamer.

”Yes.” Joselu seemed a bit nervous, looking somewhat ”slim” at this moment, with a hint of youthfulness.

He stood awkwardly in the room, his eyes toward Chen Zhong carrying bits of envy.

How could he become a mainstay of Real Madrid and win the love of players and fans at the age of 16?

”(⊙o⊙)...”

”I remember, aren’t you supposed to be loaned back to Celta?”

”Why did you come to see me?” Chen Zhong looked at Joselu with confusion. Joselu had just joined Castilla not long ago and hadn’t even settled a dorm in Sports City. Was he racing over here just to meet him?

Why?

”Yes, I just came to see you.” Joselu, a bit tongue-tied, with his mind blank, unsure what to say.

Actually, most footballers are relatively simple and have a ”lower” level of awareness. They are like flowers in a greenhouse, rarely seeing the outside ugliness.

This is why many footballers do things that are laughably absurd.

Real Madrid has no secrets, almost an open secret now.

This season’s transfer list actually included a few more, like Torres and Parejo...

The club initially planned to sell them, but rumors arose they managed to stay because of their good relationship with Chen Zhong.

Then, slowly, a rumor emerged in Sports City.

That is...

Your ability could be slightly lacking, but if your relationship with Chen Zhong is poor, you can’t stay at Real Madrid.
