I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Besides these players, some of the current players of Castilla will also be training with the first team, including Castilla’s current captain Nacho, Alvaro Morata, Lucas Vazquez, and Daniel Carvajal.

It is expected that Real Madrid’s first team will have 25 players in the new season.

7 in the front line, 8 in the midfield, 8 in defense, and 2 goalkeepers.

Additionally, in the conversation, Florentino also mentioned a player who has just joined Castilla, a young midfielder named Paul Pogba.

Mendes listened on the side as Real Madrid Club made its bold moves this summer window, with eyes sparkling.

This summer window, if Real Madrid accomplishes all its set goals in the transfer market, the spending amount might exceed 300 million.

300 million Euros converted to RMB would be close to 3 billion.

3 billion, ah! 3 billion!

A lifetime won’t be enough to spend it all!

At the dining table, Pellegrini elaborated on his tactics for the new season, and he even specifically set up a defensive system against Barcelona.

This season, the tactics on Pellegrini’s board mainly include 442, 4231, 4312, which also encompassed several ways to use Chen Zhong.

In the new season, in terms of the midfield, without a doubt, Chen Zhong will be the part he focuses on developing.

Dinner ended quickly, and Florentino stayed back with Chen Zhong to discuss the matter of the ”new contract”.

”Do you know how much Messi’s salary is?”

Florentino looked at Chen Zhong at the dining table and answered himself without waiting for Chen Zhong to respond: ”10.5 million Euros.”

”Kaka 9 million Euros, Cristiano Ronaldo 11 million Euros.”

Chen Zhong’s eyebrow twitched as he looked at Florentino, for just a few days ago, news reports were suggesting that Ronaldo would receive an unprecedented 13 million Euros salary, becoming the player with the highest salary in the world.

But now...

It’s only 11 million Euros.

This salary is considerably higher than Ronaldo’s 7.6 million Euros at Manchester United, exceeding Messi’s 10.5 million Euros, but it doesn’t quite fit Florentino’s style.

According to Florentino’s style, it wouldn’t be just 500,000 Euros more than Messi. If one were to surpass, the reported 13 million Euros would actually align better with ”reality.”

Real Madrid is just that bold.

Florentino, while discussing this matter, continually observed Chen Zhong’s expression, and he found that Chen Zhong’s eyes showed no greed, only surprise.

This made Florentino feel that on one hand, Chen Zhong lacked ambition and dissatisfaction; on the other hand, he was slightly pleased with Chen Zhong’s performance.

Perhaps, all leaders.

Feel that what I give you, you take, what I don’t give you, you can’t grab.

Florentino waited for Chen Zhong to digest the news, then looked at him and said: ”The club intends to sign a new contract with you.”

”But not now, it will be when you celebrate your birthday in November.”

”Your birthday is on November 21, right!”

”Then, the club will sign a 6-year contract with you.”

”The annual salary of this contract will reach 12 million Euros.”

”12 million Euros!?” Chen Zhong exclaimed, looking at Florentino in disbelief, not shocked by the amount, but that he could receive such a salary.

Bear in mind, his current salary at the club was only 2 million Euros, and this is suddenly 6 times more, making him the player with the highest annual salary worldwide.

”Hmm.” Florentino lightly responded, his fingers uncontrollably started tapping on the table, not out of pride, but because of nervousness.

Yes, Florentino made a choice that he wasn’t sure is right or wrong.

”This is just a preliminary plan.”

”Not the final amount.”

”If you want to receive this sum, you’ll have to provide a convincing performance during this period.”

”This is really crazy.” Chen Zhong swallowed, and without being swayed by the high salary, he looked at Florentino and said: ”I will certainly give everything for the team, but this salary, it’s a bit...”

”You are Castilla’s most outstanding player.”

”You secured the starting position at Real Madrid at 16.”

”Your first season’s performance exceeded both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.”

”Fans regard you as the future symbol and leader of Real Madrid, while I consider you as my child.”

”Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka.”

”In my eyes, you’re not inferior to them.”

Florentino looked at Chen Zhong with glowing eyes; to him, dedicated to taking Real Madrid international and improving the club’s commercial value and brand, Chen Zhong, from Asia, the most populous country China, is Heaven’s best ”gift” to Real Madrid and to him.

The benefits brought by Asian players to clubs have already been demonstrated by many clubs.

But that was only from some origins in Japan and South Korea.

And Chen...

But he is from China!

Moreover, not to mention this aspect, Cristiano Ronaldo was ”signed” by Calderon, and although Florentino still ”favored” Kaka, once having him, he felt that Chen, who was young, sensible, with potential, was more outstanding.

What does Pellegrini know!

Always complaining about Real Madrid’s midfield not having enough manpower or strength.

Even other executives were pressing him.

But Real Madrid’s midfield has Chen Zhong!

Every match he played in Milan, Florentino watched through various means.

Ensuring strong physique, excellent defense, Chen Zhong has made significant progress in long and short passing, through passes.

Florentino has said it all, and Chen Zhong showed no signs of objection, only clenched his fists, preparing to adjust his status and integrate better into Pellegrini’s system for the best performance.

The matter originally should have ended here.

Everything would wait until November, when Chen Zhong’s birthday, to adjust according to the real situations.

Florentino didn’t make Chen Zhong renew his contract immediately, opting for cautiousness.

Just that Real Madrid’s news is what all major media want, and with so many first-team players, a new coaching team, and their families, adding Florentino’s arrival caused the reporters everywhere to converge like sharks scenting blood.

Real Madrid’s news often is intentionally leaked to gain ”flow” and discussion.

But there are some that reporters indeed risk everything, using every means to acquire.

Like now.

A fortunate reporter disguised as a waiter placed a recording device in the room.

And when everything settled.

Throughout the long night, this reporter listened to the device’s captured words and discovered an explosive news!

What!!

Real Madrid plans to give Chen Zhong a salary of 12 million Euros!

Chen Zhong, on his 18th birthday, will become the player with the highest salary in football!

What!!!!!!

Florentino said Chen Zhong is better than Ronaldo and Kaka!?

Yes, although in the original words it wasn’t exactly like that, with slight trimming, it’s enough to mislead the uninformed netizens.

This fortunate reporter, surely seized this immense fortune.

And after he stayed up overnight to have the news and recordings ready, sent them to the major media, and requested a sizable fee.

The next day in Madrid, Spain, and even the world...

plunged into hysteria...
