Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

About an hour and a half later, Li Younan arrived at Tilden Town.

This small town is also known as ”Dog Town” because it’s said that a drunk cowboy once fired indiscriminately, leaving behind 15 dead dogs, giving the town its name.

Li Younan did not go directly to the venue of the hunting competition but rather drove around the town with great interest.

The more he wandered, the happier Li Younan became.

In the United States, the larger the city, the less safe it is; on the contrary, the smaller the city, the better the public security.

In this kind of small town, you immediately sense a unique tranquility and harmony that belongs to small towns as soon as you set foot.

Time seemed to slow down considerably.

There are not many modern buildings here; it has a flavor of the American version of leisurely seeing the southern mountain.

And in such a small town, the cowboy atmosphere is even stronger; you can see locals with cowboy hats or even riding horses everywhere in the streets, in addition to burly bikers on Harley motorcycles, wearing bandanas with the Lone Star flag, thick beards, sunglasses, jeans, and leather jackets, loudly greeting others.

The people in the town seemed not to often see the type of expensive pickup truck that Li Younan was driving. When he lowered his window, many people greeted him warmly.

Compared to big cities, Li Younan found these small towns in the United States to be more interesting.

He parked his car in front of a clothing store; it was hard to tell if the style was deliberately old-fashioned or simply worn with time, but the shop had saloon doors like in cowboy films, swinging both ways, and looked very free and wild.

After parking the car, Li Younan went inside.

What he didn’t know was that not far from him, at a corner, a black Toyota car quietly stopped and then reversed slowly.

...

”What should we do next?”

The Mexican looked at his Chinese companion in the passenger seat. He had to admit, he thought this Chinese guy was indeed more capable than himself.

The Chinese guy thought for a moment and said, ”Neither of us legally owns a firearm license, so we can’t participate in their hunting competition, but that’s okay too. At least we’ve figured out where Li Younan is going for the competition, haven’t we?”

”Don’t forget, we both snuck over from Mexico and have plenty of outdoor experience.”

”My plan is to find a way to disguise ourselves as hiking enthusiasts in the forest area to get close to Li Younan when he lets his guard down, like when he’s sleeping at night...”

By this point, the Chinese guy’s lips were slightly curled up, ”When he wakes up, he’ll find our handgun pointed at his head.”

”At that point, we just need to simply take out his phone and make him obediently transfer all the money in his account to the account we’ve designated.”

The Mexican hesitated a bit: ”It sounds like this plan is quite good, but how do we know his exact location?”

In this regard, the Chinese guy seemed well prepared, saying, ”In this kind of hunting competition, everyone must carry equipment with a GPS tracking system. We just need to find a way to bribe the staff from the organizers to send us Li Younan’s GPS data, then we can ’accidentally’ meet him.”

The Mexican sighed slightly, taking out his wallet to look at the lovely bills inside: ”So, we haven’t started yet, and we already need to spend a lot of money?”

The Chinese guy snorted, ”What a spineless Mexican! When doing business, you must have capital; if you don’t want to pay anything, how can you catch a big fish? Alright, we’re already this far along. In China, there’s a saying, ’Seek wealth from danger.’ You have to give to receive; let’s act! The competition is starting in two days.”

”If it were up to me, I’d sneak into his hotel room at night...”

”This isn’t quite so easy, listen to me, it involves high risk of exposure.”

”Bribing the organizing staff; we can use the excuse of a fan wanting to see the idol to get them to let their guard down. But what reason would we use to bribe the hotel staff?”

”Any fool would know what we’re up to, sneaking into someone else’s room in the dead of night.”

”There’s a high chance that just as we try to bribe the hotel staff, the next moment police will come knocking.”

The Mexican was left speechless by the Chinese guy’s argument, and nodded helplessly, ”Okay, maybe you’re right.”

...

By this time, Li Younan had emerged from the clothing store. If Liu Li or Jing Chaoyi saw the current Li Younan, they would surely be stunned because he was now dressed entirely in a western cowboy style, wearing a cowboy hat, a leather jacket on top, jeans below, and a pair of dirt-yellow suede boots.

Li Younan had looked in the fitting mirror earlier and was very satisfied; it would be even more wonderful if the outside was a desert with cacti.

After satisfying his cowboy craving, Li Younan finally headed towards the office set up for the competition.

This was not the official competition venue, merely a place for registering and receiving the competition guide.

When Li Younan arrived, the staff were handling procedures for the previous hunter.

The person was a burly, robust white man with long, curly brown hair. Even from three meters away, Li Younan could smell his strong body odor; the hair on his hands looked like it could be used for sweaters.
