Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Li Younan is a super influencer, and that’s not even an exaggeration.

The hotel staff were quite shocked about this and expressed genuine respect for Li Younan’s status as an influencer, but then refused his unreasonable request to play basketball inside.

”Sir, Stephen Curry and his training team will arrive here in an hour. We must prioritize the use of the court for NBA players.”

Seeing that the staff was unmoved, Li Younan finally played his trump card.

He generously took out $300 as a tip from his pocket and said, ”Yeah, he’s not arriving for another hour, right? I promise I’ll be gone before he gets here. Trust me, we Chinese are all about honesty.”

The staff quietly accepted the tip and, after checking the time, said, ”Alright, sir, you have 56 minutes left. I’ll come to clear the court in 40 minutes.”

Li Younan gave an OK gesture.

When he went in, the entire basketball court was empty.

He changed clothes in the locker room and walked onto the court with a basketball.

The sound of the basketball gently bouncing on the floor was crisp and clear.

There’s no denying that basketball is definitely one of the identity markers of the United States. When you mention basketball, the U.S. is an unavoidable country.

And the strength of American basketball not only lies in their athletes’ excellent talent, but also in the robust construction of the entire basketball system. Even an affiliated court of a hotel is built to a very high standard.

Today, Li Younan planned to continue practicing dunks.

After yesterday’s practice, Li Younan could already make this body utilize some advantages in core strength, coordination, jumping, and explosiveness.

Even though dunking is a skill that requires a lot of practice to master, Li Younan could already adeptly perform some advanced dunk moves.

Li Younan’s height among ordinary people certainly makes him a tall and handsome guy, with a height of about 180 cm and great head-to-body ratio, making his physique look very balanced.

But among NBA professional basketball players, his height is undoubtedly the shortest on the court.

However, in dunking, the fact is that the shorter you are, the more visually impactful your dunking moves become.

With the same jump, for example, if a 2-meter basketball player jumps a meter high, and a 1.7-meter basketball player jumps a meter high, the former looks like jumping half their body height, while the latter looks like almost two-thirds of their height. Visually, it’s obvious that the latter looks more like flying.

And Li Younan’s dunk moves, given his height, appear even more striking.

It’s worth mentioning that despite the increase in jumping and explosiveness, his strongest physical attributes are actually balance and core strength.

After all, the skills he possesses, whether it be skiing, surfing, or rock climbing, or wingsuit flying, rely heavily on core control.

And such physical qualities reflect in dunks as coordinated and graceful moves.

Beautiful dunk moves don’t need to be particularly difficult. As long as the jump is high enough and the movement is well extended, it will offer visual enjoyment.

After practicing for about half an hour, Li Younan had already become extremely proficient in the few dunk moves he practiced, with his forehead slightly sweating.

Li Younan checked the time; there were still more than ten minutes before the agreed time with the staff.

Li Younan was still looking forward to encountering Curry. His determination to come in wasn’t merely for practicing dunking.

For Li Younan, the way things are done in the United States is definitely different from in China. He came here to experience things that are different from back home, especially those that exist in America but not in China, such as NBA stars.

Seeing an NBA star is akin to foreigners coming to China to see pandas.

And Li Younan’s cunning didn’t go to waste. Even before the management personnel entered to clear the court, noisy sounds came from outside the court.

Hearing this, Li Younan felt a surge of joy — it seemed Curry and his team had arrived early.

Come to think of it, Curry, who is famously disciplined, would hardly arrive right on the dot.

Sure enough, the gym door opened, and a few trainers in sportswear and Curry, dressed in a sports hoodie, came in talking and laughing, along with the court’s management personnel.

The gym’s management personnel quickly ran to Li Younan and apologetically said, ”Sorry, sir, but the time is up. We need to give the court to Stephen Curry for his training.”

Li Younan didn’t pay attention to the management personnel but rather set his eyes on Curry over there.

It has to be said, seeing Curry on TV or short videos on a smartphone, no doubt he seems small, giving an impression of being petite, but seeing Curry in real life, one realizes it’s a completely misleading impression made by comparison.

Curry over there stood at 1.9 meters tall, and even though he was wearing a sports hoodie, you could still sense his solid physique, completely unlike the perception when watching a basketball game.

Li Younan couldn’t help but be a bit startled; he thought Curry would have a physique similar to his, but in reality, standing next to Curry, he was clearly smaller by a margin.

On the basketball court, Curry makes ordinary people forget he is also a 1.9-meter strong man!
