[Gun Mastery LV.3: The moment the bullet leaves the chamber, causality is locked]

This is a very brief skill description, but it’s more straightforward than the flashy descriptions of the skills Li Younan had acquired before.

Gun mastery, on one hand, involves understanding firearms, and on the other hand, mastering the ability to shoot skillfully.

The acquisition of gun mastery is influenced by three dimensions of abilities.

Li Younan possesses skills such as mountain climbing, swimming, and diving, which give him a keen awareness of natural environments. This awareness translates to firearms in the form of ballistic prediction.

Additionally, Li Younan has mastered skills related to machinery, such as electrical repair and car repair, which further enhance his ability to adapt to weapons.

The final aspect is the ability to overcome environmental interference, and the numerous skills he acquired to improve physical fitness and body control allow for more refined control when handling weapons.

The combination of various skills has led him to obtain a level three skill once again.

In an instant, Li Younan’s mind became proficient in various knowledge about firearms, and the muscle memory for shooting was mastered in a flash.

Of course, he couldn’t intuitively feel this improvement until he actually touched a gun, as mastering firearms requires slightly less physical fitness compared to other level three skills.

Li Younan was still immersed in the joy of acquiring the skill.

Meanwhile, the jet ski rider thought Li Younan was still savoring the breathtaking performance he had just put on, and laughed heartily, ”Buddy, your dance among the waves is the most stunning performance I’ve seen on the beach in years. But I think we should really go, the next wave might be even bigger.”

Li Younan snapped back to reality and nodded, ”Alright, thank you.”

Li Younan rode the jet ski back to the shore once more, and as soon as he landed, Jenny rushed over, ”Oh my, I really didn’t expect you to pull off such an incredible performance!”

Li Younan smiled modestly but suddenly remembered that humility is a prized quality back home, whereas in the United States people might not understand such modesty. After thinking it over, he nodded and said, ”Actually, I think this wave was too small, maybe next time I should challenge a wave that’s over a hundred meters tall, you know, a 10-meter wave is far from my limit.”

Sure enough, this unreserved and somewhat pretentious tone won Jenny’s high regard—as she saw it, it was a sign of confidence.

Jenny laughed heartily, ”Such waves perhaps only exist in Antarctica!”

Upon hearing Jenny’s words, Li Younan raised his eyebrows slightly.

Indeed, naturally forming giant waves over a hundred meters tall are extremely rare on Earth, found only in extreme ocean environments. Places with such waves include the Drake Passage in the Antarctic Circle.

It’s the core section of the westerly wind belt, with peak wind speeds exceeding 200 kilometers per hour, equivalent to a 58-level hurricane, and multiple massive waves stacking on each other to form giant waves over a hundred meters tall.

He didn’t expect Jenny to have such knowledge.

Jenny asked, ”Dear idol, where are you headed next?” As she said this, she stared at Li Younan intently.

Initially, Li Younan didn’t react, but suddenly he noticed her gaze was moving up and down, casually sweeping over the area between his thigh and navel.

His heart skipped a beat and he yawned, ”Feeling a bit tired, I think I need to head back to the hotel and rest well.”

Jenny was thrilled, ”Back to the hotel—”

Li Younan quickly said, ”Nice to meet you, but I think we should part ways now.”

Jenny’s expression was slightly stunned, at first confused, then mildly disappointed after seeing Li Younan’s clear gaze, she nodded, ”Alright, then goodbye!”

After parting ways with Jenny, Li Younan went to the beach changeroom, cleaned off the sea salt and sand on his body, changed clothes, and returned to the car, exhaling gently.

He was fully aware that Jenny was hinting at doing some... fun things.

But for Li Younan, that was an absolute no-go because he already had a girlfriend.

Before confirming his relationship with Liu Li, he could indulge himself, and it wasn’t a big deal whether it was him or someone else since he was single.

But now that he’s in a relationship with Liu Li, he should be responsible for it—it’s his bottom line.

Thinking about this, Li Younan checked the time; Liu Li’s side should be night time.

Based on Liu Li’s routine, she probably wasn’t asleep yet.

After contemplating, he sent Liu Li a message: Can we video chat?

A moment later, Liu Li directly called in a video.

The other end was pitch black, the phone’s light illuminating Liu Li’s face, making it hard to see clearly, only her bright eyes visible.

Liu Li asked, ”What’s up?”

Li Younan said, ”I just surfed, it felt pretty good, and I have some videos to send to you.”

Liu Li, assuming he wanted to send the videos over, responded, ”Okay.”

Li Younan watched Liu Li on the video, paused for a moment, then suddenly said, ”I kind of miss you.”

Liu Li’s eyes widened, she said shyly, ”Alright, I got it, not talking any longer, I’ll hang up.”

Li Younan blinked, somewhat puzzled: Why suddenly hang up?

Usually, Liu Li loved saying those mushy words.

He sighed softly; he had stayed loyal for her just now, rejecting one temptation but received no reward—a tiny bit regretful.

Far away in China, after Liu Li hung up the phone, the teasing voice of Jing Chaoyi immediately sounded by her side, ”Hahaha, why didn’t you keep calling?”

Liu Li snorted, ”I was afraid he’d say something embarrassing again.”

At this moment, Jing Chaoyi and Liu Li were sleeping in the same bed; earlier, Liu Li’s phone camera angle did not capture Jing Chaoyi.

Jing Chaoyi giggled and said, ”What’s the big deal, anyway? Don’t you share everything with me?”

”It’s different.” Liu Li’s face was already hot as she said this.

Unlike boys, girls chat about everything, even down to the details... like what position, and how long each time lasts.

For boys, this would be an incredibly unbelievable thing, but it is quite common among girls.

While chatting with Jing Chaoyi about these things, Liu Li felt a bit proud.

Because her slightly older senior was still an inexperienced girl in that regard, lacking any experience.

So, on this matter, she shared with Jing Chaoyi with a sense of pride as someone who’s been there.

However, during the recent video call with Li Younan, this made her feel even more shy, fearing that Li Younan would say something else during the call, and that’s why she hurried to end the call.

Liu Li’s demeanor made Jing Chaoyi burst into laughter, as she hugged Liu Li from behind, hand reaching upwards... laughing in her ear, ”Is this how he touches you?”

”Stop it... senior.” Liu Li’s body turned soft.

...

Li Younan drove back to the hotel.

Actually, he wasn’t lying; he was indeed a bit drowsy, though not exactly exhausted.

After all, although surfing is quite physically demanding, his surfing time wasn’t very long. The drowsiness was more due to it being time for an afternoon nap.

Li Younan returned to his room and had a light nap for over ten minutes, then felt completely refreshed.

Next, he resumed his afternoon travels; there were still quite a few places to explore in Los Angeles.

Li Younan visited several museums and the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As for the equally famous Disneyland, Li Younan was reluctant to go. Although Disneyland in Los Angeles is well-known, for Li Younan, he wasn’t interested in theme parks, and besides, these places exist worldwide, so there wasn’t much special to experience.

Thus, Li Younan stayed in Los Angeles for another two days, pretty much visiting all the places to play. He began to think about the next destination.

Returning to the hotel at night, while dining in the restaurant, the server placed his meal on the table and was about to leave.

Li Younan thought for a moment and suddenly called the server, ”Waiter, please hold on a moment.”

The server turned back, respectfully saying, ”Yes sir, how may I assist you?”

Li Younan pondered and pulled out $10 tip from his pocket, placing it on the table, saying, ”I’d like to ask a few questions.”

The server’s eyes lit up upon seeing the tip and said, ”Happy to assist you.”

Li Younan asked, ”In the United States, aside from going to a shooting range, is there any way for foreigners like me to experience shooting long-term?”

The reason Li Younan asked this question was because upon checking, travelers like him couldn’t legally possess guns in the United States.

To experience firearms, they could only go to shooting ranges, which aren’t very satisfying, as there’s no freedom whatsoever and they can only shoot targets.

The server replied without hesitation, ”Yes, sir, of course there are ways. If you want to legally possess guns for a longer period, you could try signing up for hunting competitions in Texas.”

Upon hearing this, Li Younan raised an eyebrow slightly, ”Hunting competitions?”

”Yes, sir.”

”On one hand, Texas has more lenient gun regulations, and according to federal law, during hunting competitions, you can apply for a Texas hunting license, allowing you to legally possess firearms and ammunition.”

Intrigued, Li Younan further asked, ”Where in Texas are these hunting competitions held?”

”Sir, you can check out South Texas, where wild pigs are rampant. They host many hunting competitions annually.”

Li Younan silently digested this information and then smiled slightly, handing the $10 to the server, saying, ”This is for you.”

The server accepted the tip with a contented smile, saying, ”Thank you, generous sir.”

After finishing his meal, Li Younan returned to the hotel to start packing.

Of course, he didn’t intend to bring too many things, even selling his surfboard and wetsuit on a secondhand trading platform.

Thanks to his spectacular surfing performance earlier, he sold the surfboard and wetsuit for a higher price than he originally paid, and only later did he find out the buyer was Jenny, a surfing influencer.

It’s worth mentioning that Liu Li had already edited the video and sent it to him.

This time, Li Younan simultaneously published the short video on American and Chinese video platforms, barely glancing at the domestic account while keeping a close eye on the new American account. After posting the first video, he astonishingly gained tens of thousands of followers; the speed of gaining followers was truly remarkable.

Besides that, Li Younan also launched on the Twitter platform with his first post featuring some surfing snapshots.

Once he finished packing, he returned the rented car and headed to the airport, posting a second update: ”Next stop, Texas! Guys, I’m headed to become a cowboy in hunting competitions!”

The geographical location displayed the airport’s coordinates.

There was a comment below at this time: ”Honestly, as a known influencer, it’s better not to update your status in real-time.”

Since Li Younan doesn’t particularly enjoy browsing comments, he didn’t see this one.

(I’m going to ride the wave of popularity! Chapter two updates at eight tomorrow morning!)
