Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

It’s impossible to say I’m not touched.

Why would Li Younan risk so much for me?

Zhu Qingyue watched Li Younan’s videos... over and over again. One thing for sure is... at least after he started being a travel blogger, he had no trekking experience, and before this, he was a software engineer working in Shanghai... if we go further back... his occupation was a student.

In other words, it was absolutely impossible for Li Younan to have genuinely engaged in hiking and mountaineering before.

Yet, during communication with Luo Yong, the level of expertise Li Younan displayed was somewhat shocking, even impressive to the other party.

Displaying knowledge is often a very difficult task.

”Displaying knowledge” and ”showing off” are two entirely different states. The former is unintentionally revealing a glimpse of one’s sharp edges in a mundane daily life, making people, after brief surprise, feel more and more amazed the more they ponder, increasingly sensing those deep, unseen parts beneath the edges, like the magnificent unseen hidden beneath glaciers.

Achieving such a state is extraordinarily rare; merely skimming through some guides or searching for fragmented knowledge on short video platforms is impossible to reach.

Coming to his senses, a question naturally popped into Zhu Qingyue’s mind: In these mere few months, how long did he have to sincerely and profoundly study to reach this level? How many arduous books did he read? How much time did he spend?

And thinking about this... all these efforts seem to be a result of his impetuous impulse, inevitably moving the person... Am I worth it?

Perhaps he had no other thoughts... but just possessing such qualities is considered a charming attribute.

Li Younan naturally didn’t know about those odd thoughts spawning in Zhu Qingyue’s mind.

At this moment, to ensure the smooth journey ahead, he specially gave her a checklist, instructing her to strictly purchase the relevant equipment and supplies according to the list he provided.

This point is very important.

The saying ”To do a good job, one must first sharpen one’s tools” is very crucial for trekking.

Since the area where Luo Yong mentioned her aunt went missing is their return position before summiting, strictly speaking, this journey does not reach the difficulty of climbing the Gongga Mountain peaks.

Calling it climbing is actually more of trekking across.

According to climbing difficulty categorization, this route’s difficulty roughly lies between 2nd and 3rd level, involving some rare rock wall climbing, but Li Younan is confident he can reduce the difficulty by choosing detours.

Most areas involve walking and simple ice snow climbing.

The environment is approximately C-grade, and the climate can be described as harsh but not as extreme weather, with no intense snow and wind.

Overall, the current expectation is extremely controllable.

Yet even so, Li Younan’s preparation still follows a higher-level climbing readiness.

Therefore, the checklist Li Younan gave Zhu Qingyue includes:

Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, ice axe, harness, main lock, figure-eight ring, ice screws, mountaineering boots, assault suit, a complete set of thermal and warm clothing, trekking poles, helmet, headlamp, goggles, crampons.

The equipment provided by Li Younan is naturally the most professional equipment choice given by his mountaineering skills.

This set of equipment is sufficient for summiting.

In such somewhat dangerous trekking traversal, you can never prepare at the level of ”just barely” or ”just enough.”

The set date is three days later, departing from Chengdu.

Before that, the two need to separate for a while.

Li Younan needs to take the car for some upgrading and modifications.

The bed car is not necessary this time.

After all, the equipment brought this time is a lot, packed into the car, there is temporarily no place to sleep on that bed... There is basically no place to sleep in the car for the whole trip, and isn’t there Zhu Qingyue as well?

After returning, Li Younan drove the car to a relative’s auto repair shop in a county town to temporarily remove the wooden bed.

Because the structure of this drawer bed is extremely intricate, though perfectly aligned when installed, it is not complicated to disassemble at all, and one person dismantled it quickly.

Doing this, Li Younan naturally also filmed the process.

He smiled at the camera in the video and said, ”Brothers and sisters, I’m going to temporarily take down the drawer bed. Does everyone know what I’ve been preparing for during this time? Haha... I bet no one would guess that I’m planning to trek at Gongga Mountain this time... Hehe, of course, not trying to summit, well, it’s considered a heavy-load traversal route.”

Afterwards, Li Younan told his mom, then officially drove off to Chengdu.

The day before meeting Zhu Qingyue, Li Younan went to purchase the equipment he needed.

Naturally, he also filmed videos and sent all video footage to JK Long in the evening, asking her to edit it and upload it to the video homepage on the same day.

The video was titled: ”Next Stop, Gongga Mountain!”

The main content was, naturally, introducing his plan to go for a heavy-loaded trekking traversal at Gongga Mountain and the relevant preparations.

Before this, Li Younan hadn’t actually uploaded videos for a while.

In fact, every day the fan group could see fans discussing, like ”How come the streamer hasn’t updated in so long?” ”Has the streamer disappeared?” ”What’s the streamer doing? Update please!”
