Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

The days spread out leisurely.

In late December, the days in Sanya seemed to be stretched by the warm sea breeze.

The balcony door was often open.

There were no alarm clocks to rush anyone.

When waking up, sunlight had usually already spread across half the balcony.

Mom was always the first to get up. Breakfast was casual, porridge or fried rice, dealt with simply, dishes piled up in the sink without urgency to wash.

When going to the nearby market to buy groceries, the three of us usually went together.

A family should stay neat and tidy together.

Li Younan took the lead, mom and Lu Xiaolan followed behind, sometimes helping carry bags, more often curiously looking around.

Back home, the groceries were placed on the kitchen counter, and everyone found their corner.

Mom comfortably nestled on the sofa to watch dramas, Lu Xiaolan would run to the balcony alone, holding her phone to video call a friend from high school or university, smugly showing off their leisurely life in Sanya, or play mobile games, occasionally being seen crying angrily when scolded by teammates, while crying, she continued to play another round.

During this time, Li Younan didn’t make videos, as he found this everyday life didn’t have much worthy to record.

If not going out, sometimes he’d take a chair to sit beside Lu Xiaolan, watching the slow-moving boats on the sea, or just dazing off.

Close to noon, the kitchen became Li Younan’s domain.

Crushing garlic, chopping ginger, heating the oil, the familiar sizzling sound rose with the aroma of ginger and garlic, Lu Xiaolan would wander in, leaning on the door frame asking, ”Brother, do you need to peel onions?” or help pass a plate.

Mom would occasionally peek in, telling her son about some delicious dish she found online, forwarding it to him, and then seeing the dishes Li Younan made today and yesterday never repeating, smelling nice, satisfied and leaving.

The dishes were served on the small dining table, sitting around chatting.

In the afternoon, generally not going out, but Li Younan signed up for a swimming class at the nearby swimming pool, undisturbedly attending it these days for lessons.

Notably, all three of them were non-swimmers, so when Li Younan practiced latching the swimming lessons at home, lying on the ground repeatedly practicing the breaststroke posture,

Lu Xiaolan and Mom both laughed at him, Lu Xiaolan mercilessly teased, ”Cousin, is this the swimming class you spent thousands on? Are you sure you’re not practicing frog method?”

Li Younan didn’t explain, continued practicing on his own.

A few days later, Li Younan indeed learned to swim.

Though still not very proficient, sometimes gulping water, he did get the hang of swimming.

Later, when taking them to swim, Li Younan could justifiably tease the two non-swimmers.

The sun set in the west, the sea breeze began to bring a chill, this time heading back.

Days passed, not deliberately distinguishing the calendar.

The bought shrimp and crabs were sometimes especially plump, Lu Xiaolan once picked up a particularly complete Tiger-striped Shell, and one day, at a beachside evening, the clouds turned a magnificent orange-red, but mostly, it was just a repetition: waking late, shopping, dazing, cooking, watching the sea.

After New Year’s Day, Li Younan took a day to complete two check-in tasks.

Both were quite simple, one was filming the sunrise on the sea, the other was experiencing diving.

The diving task was relatively more troublesome, as Li Younan lacked the ability to dive independently, led by the instructor, awkwardly experiencing diving, the price was on the high side, and the experience was not very good, feeling like a marionette being led around the shallow sea, but he did complete the task.

The rewards for these two check-in tasks were respectively [Mountaineering Skill +1] and [Pottery Skill +1].

[Mountaineering Skill lv.1: You can instinctively adapt and assess risks in complex terrains, and you have amazing load-bearing capacity, even carrying dozens of kilograms of equipment up the mountain is no pressure for you!]

[lv.1 Pottery Skill: When a professional hand retrieves a transpicuous pottery from the wildly jumping flames, that scorching completeness is the wilderness bowing to craftsmanship.]

These two skills were undoubtedly divine skills for living in the wild.

The mountaineering skill seemed just a mountaineering skill, but coupled with Li Younan’s highland ancestry skill, conquering most mountains on foot became an easy task.

As for the other skill, the pottery firing skill was even more noteworthy.

Mankind evolved from primitive man to civilization structure, aside from fire and iron tools, a huge milestone was learning to fire pottery.

After obtaining this skill, many related knowledge flooded into Li Younan’s brain, and the level one mark for this skill was... being able to create qualified pottery using suitable materials in the wild without any professional tools!

But currently, there was no opportunity to practice these two skills.

As vacation days passed one by one, everyone started to become sensitive to time.

Mom’s holiday was running out, naturally, her mood turned somewhat mildly melancholic.

And during this time, without video updates, Li Younan’s fans also started pressing for content madly.

Li Younan had to calm down, seriously considering his next plans.
