Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

(ps: Phew, I finally wrote it out!)

After Li Younan returned home, he really took a careful look into information about agoraphobia.

Such a psychological disorder indeed exists, and the reasons for psychological issues are highly complex, with some being congenital and hereditary.

But judging from Liu Yu’s behavior, it’s certain that Brother Long’s agoraphobia was not caused by heredity.

Liu Yu recounted that disastrous experience, and without a doubt, it was that incident that caused a huge trauma to Brother Long’s heart, gradually evolving into what it is now.

Li Younan didn’t go home but instead checked into a room near the hospital, throwing himself on the hotel bed in a daze, pondering what kind of environment a girl named Liu Li, known as Brother Long, grew up in.

He sighed lightly and sent a message to Brother Long: ”Went to the hospital as you instructed.”

Li Younan still referred to Brother Long as ”Brother Long” in the message and didn’t mention that Liu Yu had already told him everything.

On the other end, Brother Long probed with a few questions, and upon confirming that Li Younan still did not know her situation, she became somewhat happy.

Li Younan deliberately teased her, saying: ”He didn’t tell me, and neither did you... so why don’t you personally go and take care of him?”

This question flustered Brother Long a bit, and she vaguely deflected, eventually replying in an annoyed tone: ”I told you to go, so just go, why so much nonsense...”

Fortunately, Li Younan seemed to see her distressed look through the screen, and decided not to dwell on the topic, finding it amusing yet deeply sighing.

After a moment, he said, ”Honestly, your tone of speaking is exactly the same as your brother’s.”

Brother Long was silent for a moment, then messaged back: ”My brother is excellent.”

There was half a sentence she didn’t say.

Facing you, my identity and way of speaking are all subconsciously clumsy imitations of my brother.

After finishing the chat with Brother Long, Li Younan started to search for places suitable for hiking across Sichuan.

While doing this, he couldn’t help but think again about what Liu Yu said, that seeing himself challenge nature from Brother Long’s perspective might improve her condition.

Honestly, the complex causal mechanism between these two things was quite fascinating to Li Younan.

Previously, he indeed wanted to explore and trek, but now this had a deeper meaning.

However, there was still one thing that puzzled Li Younan: why was Brother Long hiding her gender?

Is it because being male on the internet feels safer?

Or does she think that revealing her gender and age would make her seemed unreliable and cause others to doubt her skills?

Both possibilities seemed reasonable.

At present, since Brother Long didn’t intend to confess, Li Younan decided to continue pretending he didn’t know.

He searched a few places but wasn’t quite satisfied, so instead of continuing on the map, he turned on the system to check the checkpoint markers scattered outdoors.

While Li Younan was mulling over this matter, suddenly, someone who hadn’t contacted him in a long time sent him a message.

Seeing who it was, Li Younan was momentarily taken aback.

Zhu Qingyue.

The last time they parted ways was during the trip to Jingdezhen, and they hadn’t been in contact since.

He was a bit surprised that she reached out today.

Zhu Qingyue initiated the conversation the standard no-topic way: ”Are you there?”

Amused by these words, Li Younan didn’t intend to tease Zhu Qingyue, responding simply with ”Hmm.”

They began to chat casually.

Zhu Qingyue asked about Li Younan’s recent activities, to which he provided brief details about places he’s been over the past six months.

Then Zhu Qingyue sent a message, her words carrying a tinge of envy: ”You’ve been to so many places.”

Li Younan felt a slight stir in his heart.

Honestly speaking, he and Zhu Qingyue didn’t have much interaction, except for an initial chance encounter, and it was Zhu Qingyue who later reached out, creating subsequent interactions.

Without a shared connection, any friendship would gradually fade.

However, thinking of this, Li Younan recalled Huang Xiaoyang.

Of course, that guy would definitely refuse to admit it, even if Li Younan personally felt the detachment, he wouldn’t agree.

Chatting absentmindedly with Zhu Qingyue, he speculated that there must be a reason for her to contact him.

Previously, only Lan Yiyi would engage in small talk without a topic, and Zhu Qingyue wasn’t the type for that, so there must be a reason this time too.

Sure enough.

After chatting for a while, Zhu Qingyue suddenly asked, ”Do you have any plans coming up?”

Li Younan didn’t answer directly but responded with, ”Why do you ask?”

Zhu Qingyue paused for a moment and said, ”I’ll call you; it’s hard to explain in a few words via messages.”

After a moment’s thought, Li Younan agreed.

A moment later, Zhu Qingyue called, and Li Younan answered.

Zhu Qingyue’s breathing on the other end was slightly heavy, indicating her careful consideration before finally starting tentatively, ”There’s something I... I want to confide in you about...”
