Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Zhu Qingyue was listening intently and asked hesitantly, ”What’s wrong?”

Li Younan’s tone became serious: ”I’ll say it again, I really don’t recommend you doing this alone. Most guides are men, it’s a remote wilderness, and you’re a lone girl... It’s not safe.”

Zhu Qingyue remained silent.

Li Younan asked seriously again, ”You really can’t find anyone to go with you?”

Zhu Qingyue suddenly took a deep breath twice, then started crying without warning.

Li Younan blinked, ”Um...”

Zhu Qingyue was engulfed in her emotions, unable to extricate herself, ”Will I... will I never see my aunt again?”

Li Younan thought to himself, hasn’t your aunt been missing for so long? Although it’s a bit cruel, the fact is you won’t see her again! If you do, it would be a bit scary.

But he still comforted her, ”Maybe you can reconsider, at least find a steady companion.”

Zhu Qingyue said sadly, ”I’m... I’m not in that circle... Can I find fellow hikers online?”

Li Younan didn’t answer her, but asked, ”When do you plan to go to Kangding?”

Zhu Qingyue said, ”I plan to go after the New Year, when the weather warms up a bit.”

Li Younan thought for a moment, ”Kangding is at a high altitude, spring comes late, it’ll still be very cold in February just after the New Year.”

”Maybe a bit later, in April, though April can still be somewhat cold, but I guess you probably don’t want to wait that long.”

”But earlier won’t work either, at least after April. So, give me a call in April.”

Zhu Qingyue was taken aback and asked, ”You? You mean?”

Li Younan said calmly, ”I can accompany you, but I can’t guarantee you’ll achieve your goal.”

”If anything uncertain arises during the journey, especially regarding safety, including but not limited to environmental hazards or personal health risks... I will stop you from proceeding further.”

Zhu Qingyue’s head buzzed, unable to react for a moment, ”You... you’ll come with me, but... but...”

Li Younan said, ”There are still a few months until April, during this time, you can learn about trekking and mountaineering, buy the professional equipment like down jackets, sleeping bags, tents, trekking poles.”

”Oh, and most importantly, you need to exercise well. Traveling to such places requires heavy backpacks, weighing dozens of pounds.”

Zhu Qingyue immediately felt like crying again, ”Li Younan, you... you for me...”

Li Younan interrupted her, ”It’s actually not for you. I already had plans for hiking and crossing, your situation just coincidentally fits in, a slight adjustment... it’s the same for me.”

Zhu Qingyue sniffled, hummed twice, and whispered, ”Really?”

Inexplicably, she felt a wave of disappointment in her heart.

Li Younan smiled, ”If this is decided, let’s arrange it like this. But during this time, I hope you can seriously reconsider. Again, I don’t recommend you taking this risk.”

Zhu Qingyue said seriously, ”I’ve made up my mind!”

Li Younan said, ”Then let’s settle it like this, and we’ll meet after the New Year.”

After hanging up, Zhu Qingyue sat on the bed still a bit dazed.

A moment later, she lay down, gripping her phone tightly.
