Divine Level Witch Doctor

”Teach these guys a lesson myself?” Though Lin Xue had a cute and sweet appearance, her personality was never timid or fearful. Zhao Yuan’s proposal was tempting, but she was still worried. ”I want to, but I can’t beat them.”

Zhao Yuan smiled and said, ”Don’t worry about that. I’ll help you.”

Just then, the melodious sound of a waltz drifted out from the movie theater. Zhao Yuan turned his back to the charging thugs, smiled, and extended a hand to Lin Xue, inviting her, ”Would you do me the honor of this dance?”

”Huh?” Lin Xue was stunned.

’Weren’t we supposed to be teaching these thugs a lesson? How did we end up talking about dancing?’

Just as she was about to ask, she suddenly saw a thug who had already closed to within a few meters, swinging a fist at Zhao Yuan’s back. She quickly cried out a warning, ”Watch out!”

But Zhao Yuan just smiled faintly. Though his back was to the thugs, his hearing, touch, and other senses—all many times sharper than a normal person’s—had already pinpointed their movements.

At that moment, he reached out and wrapped an arm around Lin Xue’s slender waist. With a sudden burst of power from his core, he spun her around sharply. The speed of the turn sent her feet flying up, and with a THWACK, they connected perfectly with the thug attempting the sneak attack, kicking him straight to the ground.

After landing, Lin Xue looked astonished. She hadn’t even processed what had just happened.

Just then, three more thugs charged forward, attempting to surround and attack them together.

One of Zhao Yuan’s arms held Lin Xue’s waist while his other hand grasped her delicate one, leading her into a graceful dance.

He didn’t actually know how to dance, but that didn’t matter. Within the miscellaneous knowledge of the Information Leaf was a section on dancing. He just needed to spend some Wish Power to temporarily gain the dancing skills left behind by Wu Peng!

These weren’t ordinary dancing skills! Not only were the moves elegant and breathtakingly beautiful, but they also possessed a certain offensive capability. Using this kind of Martial Skill against a few thugs was, without a doubt, like using a butcher’s knife to kill a chicken—total overkill!

Under Zhao Yuan’s lead, every one of the couple’s beautiful dance moves either struck a thug or evaded their attacks!

Amidst the charming waltz music, Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue looked like a pair of celestial lovers. Their captivating dance mesmerized countless onlookers. But in the eyes of the thugs, their dance wasn’t captivating at all—it was terrifying!

The thugs were about to lose their minds!

Their attacks were effortlessly neutralized by Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue’s dancing. They tried to dodge Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue’s attacks, but never once succeeded.

In just two or three minutes, the entire group of thugs was lying on the ground, groaning in pain.

The force behind each of Lin Xue’s strikes wasn’t great, but every hit landed on a joint, a vital point, or the most painful area, inflicting maximum damage with minimum effort!

Once all the thugs were down, the dance Zhao Yuan led Lin Xue in also came to an end.

”How did that feel?” Zhao Yuan asked.

”Did I… really take all these guys down?” Lin Xue found it a little hard to believe.

”Yup, you took them all down,” Zhao Yuan said with a cheerful laugh.

”I couldn’t have taken them down without you leading me.” Lin Xue was self-aware, but still very excited. ”This feeling of being a Martial Dao expert is awesome.”

”So, do you want to learn?” Zhao Yuan asked with a smile, his tone suspiciously like that of a creepy old man luring a little girl with candy.

Lin Xue nodded without hesitation. ”Of course I do! I’ve dreamed of being a great hero ever since I was little!”

’I never expected a cute girl like Lin Xue to have a hero dream. But then again, most Chinese people probably share that same dream.’

Zhao Yuan said, ”I can teach you, but it’s very hard work. Are you sure you want to learn?”

Lin Xue was overjoyed and nodded eagerly. ”I’m sure! Of course I’m sure! I’m not afraid of hardship or exhaustion!”

”You said it, no backing out now,” Zhao Yuan said, the corner of his mouth hooking into a mischievous smile that would make one’s scalp tingle.

Lin Xue didn’t notice this. Lost in a fantasy of how cool and impressive she would be after learning a Martial Skill and becoming a great hero, she replied, ”Back out? No way! I’ll never back out!”

”Good. Let’s go now,” Zhao Yuan said, taking Lin Xue by the hand and striding away.

Lin Xue asked curiously, ”Where are we going?”

Zhao Yuan looked back and said, ”To teach you how to train, of course.”

”What about them?” Lin Xue asked, pointing at the thugs on the ground.

Zhao Yuan said, ”Let them lie there. They’ll get up on their own when they’ve had enough.” After a moment’s thought, he walked over to the man who had been the most arrogant.

All traces of arrogance were gone from the man now, replaced only by terror and fear. He shrieked in a trembling voice, ”What are you doing? Stay away! I’ll scream! I’m really gonna scream!”

Black lines instantly appeared on Zhao Yuan’s forehead.

’Damn it, can’t you come up with a different line? Are you playing the part of a damsel in distress?’

”Shut up!” Zhao Yuan’s face darkened as he snapped coldly.

The man immediately shut his mouth.

It wasn’t that he wanted to be obedient; he just didn’t dare to disobey. In his eyes, Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue were just too freakish. They had taken down eight people by spinning, leaping, and dancing. He had only ever seen something like that in a Jackie Chan movie!

Zhao Yuan snorted and asked, ”Well? Was this lesson profound enough for you? Do you know how to behave from now on?”

The man nodded frantically, afraid he’d get beaten if he was too slow to answer. ”I get it, I get it! I’ll be polite to everyone from now on. No more arrogance or trash talk.”

”That’s more like it.” Zhao Yuan nodded in satisfaction, stood up, and left the plaza outside the movie theater, pulling Lin Xue along.

Watching their retreating figures, the onlookers, finally snapping out of their shock, erupted in belated cries and discussion.

”Holy crap, what the hell was that just now? Two people took down eight thugs just by dancing? That’s insane!”

”Who are those two? Don’t tell me they’re the top students from the sports university’s martial arts department?”

”Where are the cameras? Where’s the director? How come no one’s yelled ’Cut!’ yet? Are you sure this isn’t a movie shoot? My God, that scene just now was way too cool!”

”The guy is handsome, the girl is beautiful, and they can beat people up while dancing… They’re like a modern-day version of the Condor Heroes! Hey, hey, did any of you record that?”

This person’s question immediately triggered a wave of groans.

”Nope!”

”Forgot!”

”I thought of it, but the fight was over before I could even get my phone out!”

The crowd’s gazes fell in unison upon the thugs groaning on the ground. They sighed, ”Ah, if only we could see that one more time!”

Hearing this, the thugs all started to cry.

’We got beaten to a pulp, and you guys want an encore?’

’Damn it! You people have no humanity, no sympathy at all!’
