Divine Level Witch Doctor

After selecting his Cultivation School, the page finally changed. But instead of a successful registration leading to the forum, a test appeared.

Zhao Yuan glanced over it and found that all the questions on the test were related to cultivation and Alchemy and Medicine Making. It seemed that the test you received was based on the Cultivation School you chose in the previous step. As for ordinary people, even if they stumbled upon this website, they would be utterly stumped after seeing these questions.

The answers to these questions weren’t something you could just find with a quick Google search.

Without completing the test, it was naturally impossible to successfully register and enter the forum.

’This is a pretty good idea.’ Zhao Yuan mentally gave a thumbs-up to the forum’s founders and administrators, then immediately started the test.

Although he wasn’t a true Pill Master, it didn’t matter. With a major cheat like the Information Leaf, taking the test couldn’t be easier! Zhao Yuan merely glanced over the questions, and the Information Leaf immediately presented the sourcebooks for every single one, complete with Wu Peng’s annotations and commentary. The content was so profound that Zhao Yuan became completely engrossed, gaining many new insights and even forgetting that he was supposed to be taking a test.

About ten minutes later, Liu Zhu finished a round of LOL and got up to get some water. He noticed Zhao Yuan staring at the screen as if he were paralyzed, which piqued his curiosity. He walked over, patted Zhao Yuan on the shoulder, and asked, ”Hey, why are you spacing out in front of your computer? You good? Huh, what site is this? ’Inner Cauldron? Outer Pill?’ What the hell is any of this?”

Only then did Zhao Yuan snap back to reality. ”Oh,” he replied, ”I’m registering for a forum. I have to answer some questions.”

”What a weird forum,” Liu Zhu said, shaking his head. He didn’t press the matter, just walked over to the water dispenser, poured himself a cup of hot water, and returned to his computer. He called out to Wang Rongfeng, ”Another round?”

Wang Rongfeng shot him down. ”Not happening! Dammit, my luck is garbage today, I’ve lost every single match. I need to watch something to change my fortune, otherwise I’m definitely going to get demoted!”

Liu Zhu’s interest was instantly piqued. He grinned mischievously and asked, ”Oh yeah? What are you watching? Something from your ’special’ collection?”

”Damn, get your mind out of the gutter for once!” Wang Rongfeng shot him a glare and said irritably, ”I’m watching a Makoto Shinkai film!”

Liu Zhu was stunned. ”Makoto Shinkai? Isn’t he an animation director? Did he get into porn? But he’s a dude, what’s the appeal even if he did? HOLY SHIT! Are you going to watch a gay flick? I never would’ve guessed, man, that you had tastes like that!”

”What the hell are you talking about!” Wang Rongfeng was completely exasperated. ”I’m going to watch *Your Name*!”

Zhao Yuan glanced back at the two of them and shook his head with a smile. He turned his attention back to the webpage and muttered to himself, ’I almost forgot about the test. Better finish this first. As for those books on cultivation and Alchemy and Medicine Making, I’ll use the Concentration Technique to read them carefully later.’

The questions on the webpage were all multiple-choice. However, each question also had an ”Other” option and a blank text box where you could type your own thoughts and answer.

For each question, Zhao Yuan just had to glance at the prompt before retrieving the answer from his Information Leaf. His speed was incredible! In just over ten minutes, he had finished the entire test.

On the test, there were a few questions where none of the provided choices were correct. For those, Zhao Yuan selected the ”Other” option and typed in the correct information as recorded in the Information Leaf. ’These must be traps,’ he thought, ’set up by the forum creators to stop people from getting lucky and guessing their way through.’

’Done!’

After finishing all the questions and doing a quick review to ensure he hadn’t missed any, Zhao Yuan clicked the submit button. The test vanished. Zhao Yuan assumed he had passed authentication and that the account registration page would appear next. Instead, a line of text popped up on the page: ”We’re sorry, you did not pass the test. You are not eligible to register an account!”

”I didn’t pass?” Zhao Yuan shot to his feet in disbelief. ”Are you freaking kidding me?”

He had answered those questions using the Information Leaf! And the Information Leaf was the legacy of Wu Peng! As a Witch Doctor, Wu Peng’s mastery of Alchemy and Medicine Making was on a Divine Level! How could answers from that source be wrong? What a joke! That was like saying Messi got completely schooled in a soccer match against a bunch of elementary schoolers. It was absolutely preposterous!

After a moment of thought, Zhao Yuan pinpointed the cause. ’I’ve got it. It has to be those questions where I chose ”Other” and wrote in the correct answer! And here I was, thinking the forum creator put those in as traps to stop people from stumbling in and registering by mistake. Now I see that’s not it at all! It’s obvious they misunderstood the material and put the wrong answers in the key!’

The more Zhao Yuan thought about it, the angrier he became. ’They can’t even get the damn standard answers right, and they have the audacity to test others?’

He was in no mood to back out and start the whole process over. Who knew if he’d just run into the same problem again? He pulled out his phone and called Hao Li.

Hao Li answered quickly. ”Little Brother Zhao, what can I do for you?”

Zhao Yuan asked, ”Old Hao, do you have an alt account? For that forum.”

Hao Li paused for a moment, then realized Zhao Yuan was referring to the Cultivator Forum. ”I do,” he answered quickly. ”What’s wrong?”

Zhao Yuan didn’t hide the truth. ”Lend me one of your alts. I was just trying to register, but it told me I failed the entrance test and couldn’t create an account.”

Hao Li was shocked by this and exclaimed, ”HOLY SHIT, you failed the test? How is that possible? You didn’t accidentally choose the wrong Cultivation School to test for, did you?”

Zhao Yuan said, ”As far as I can tell, it’s not that I got the questions wrong, it’s that the test’s answer key is wrong. Just hurry up and send me an alt. I’m going to log in, make a post about this, and have the forum management correct their mistake and review their material so this doesn’t happen again.”

”Little Brother Zhao, I have to say, I’m seriously impressed!” Hao Li exclaimed. ”’It’s not that I was wrong, it’s that the test’s answer key was wrong...’ Man, that’s such a badass thing to say!”

Zhao Yuan urged, ”Yeah, yeah, enough chatter. Just send me the account.”

”You got it. I’ll text you the username and password right now. Once you make the post, I’ll be sure to go and bump the thread for you!” Hao Li, never one to shy away from drama, was happy to add fuel to the fire.

Zhao Yuan hung up. A few seconds later, he received a text from Hao Li with the account username and password.

He was about to log in directly, but then he suddenly remembered the trouble his ”The Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor” account had run into on the school forum. He quickly found a VPN, set it to a foreign proxy IP, and only then did he log in to the Cultivator Forum.
